  1. Hi. Yep, me too; what it means is that the URL of the note could open that note directly - if someone had access to the URL in the first place. Evernote accounts are pretty secure - try searching for a keyword in the oldest version of your shared notes for reassurance. I've still got a bunch of allegedly shared notes in my account - hopeful that Support will kill the 'shares' at some point...
  2. Hi. Evernote don't do 'coming soon' announcements outside of the release notes with each new update. If you can't see what you need in your current app, then it's not happened yet...
  3. Hi. Given the bazillion coding systems out there and browsers that update daily, I think its a minor miracle that Evernote can provide a viable copy of some or all of most web pages in most sizes of screen across several OS's. I'm happy to get 98% of clips pretty easily, but there are mean websites that have no intention of sharing their content without a fight and then I have to bring in external help to grab a copy of the site. Nimbus Capture is my go-to clipper backup and while my Brave clipper hung at 3% like everyone else's, Nimbus sucked the page in without any issue... -that's a 2.2MB clip mind... - and not being able to get a clip of a favourite website is not a bug - it's just a chance to explore alternatives...
  4. Hi. Best way to find out what's in the developers' minds on this (if anything) is to ask them... we're mainly users here, and while the devs will be reading posts sooner or later, it's a lot more efficient to provide feedback in the apps or (if you're a subscriber and want an answer) raise a support ticket.
  5. Yu have some personal settings which might help, but I'm pretty sure Evernote has considered not bugging people and dismissed the idea out of hand. You're complaining here (mainly) to other users - as a subscriber you can raise this with, or feed it back to Support and they might be able to suggest other options...
  6. Hi. The keyword there is "automatically" - and the answer is "No". There are a number of automation apps around (including Notion!) that might be able to pass a token of some sort to Evernote, the simplest of which would be an email to your Evernote email address to add a note - but not, AFAIK a task with a manual intervention... Evernote will export ENEX and HTML files, and Notion (apparently) can import such files so passing data back the other way might be easier. Bear in mind that if you're keeping your Evernote data on a work device it's pretty insecure. Save emails into Evernote Export notes and notebooks as ENEX or HTML
  7. Evernote Legacy works with this OS (apparently) - but if the OS is incompatible with v10 features, it seems unlikely that Evernote will develop another new product specifically for High Sierra users.
  8. I'm not having any issues with the creation of multiple windows - is it possible that this is a Windows issue with new instances being created 'offscreen' in a phantom window? https://www.alphr.com/find-recover-off-screen-window-windows-10/
  9. Creating a note from email is a subscriber-only feature. If you are a subscriber it's possible that your email is not being received - can you try sending from another email address and/ or another location?
  10. Workflowy has an excellent search feature and is ideal for lists and links. I use it alongside Evernote and various cloud drives which do the heavy lifting of file and document storage. (WF can't show inline content - yet)
  11. Hi. Maybe if you could explain what it is that you're missing, we might understand the issue. I can export any and all notes and notebooks in several different formats at any time. Depending on what you're exporting and from where, it may be easier in some instances to use the freely available Legacy version rather than the current v10. I'm still backing up my notes regularly, and I believe there will be more backup options from third party developers as they get to grips with a mature v10. Still - your processes, your choice;
  12. Evernote, sadly, didn't anticipate a need to import spreadsheets direct... Depending on the size of your file I'd say you have two options. It would be possible to add the whole CSV file to a note provided it is less than 25MB (Free) 50MB (Plus) or 200MB (Personal/Professional) in size. The CSV file is a text file, so fully searchable - you could simply search for keywords to see whether you get a hit from this file, then search the file to find the context. This has the advantage of dumping all the information into a searchable note immediately. Plan B would be to set up a 'mail merge' in Excel to generate labels consisting of the title and content of each note in one text file, and to save those labels in a folder. Once completed, move the content to an Import folder to add it to Evernote. Beware your system limits though - too much upload / too large notes might cause you various sorts of problem! 13. Thanks for the headsup - but see my note https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/142833-devices-heating-up-quickly-on-latest-version/?do=findComment&comment=661457
  14. ?? I don't believe that Support has a direct line to Marketing, but I guess they might be connected...
  15. Hmmn. Thanks for the tip - in Windows 11 it appears that my C:\drive files are automatically mirrored to OneDrive and -unless I'm looking in the wrong place- don't get the archive bit set. Here's a clip of the imported file as a note - - and what's left in my Import folder... ...but oddly some older files were also in the import folder with similar settings and did not get imported for a third time ??? I'll try moving my Import folder to an external drive. PS - if I need to automatically delete files from here there's a utility called DropIt which can monitor folders and take various actions based on filters. Not (yet) tested with W11, but it works fine with W10. http://www.dropitproject.com/
  16. Did all your invitees check their spam folder? The emails come from an Evernote address, not from you personally; plus new accounts are blocked from sharing for 24 hours for anti-spam reasons. No difference between web and mobile. Having said which - how many people are you expecting to be able to access this note at the same time? Evernote might not be the best option here...
  17. Hi. Mainly user-supported forum here, not Evernote. Main benefit of subscribing to service = email Support from Evernote. Most likely cause of crashes on mobile - bad install, or old OS. Maybe try uninstalling the app / restarting the device / reinstalling?
  18. Not sure I can elaborate on the "different device" comment - do you have access to something other than the iPhone you're apparently using?
  19. Something in my hind-brain is wondering... suppose you have a series of backups with changes and new notes recorded... how do you restore a random original complete note? Do I have to check which backup has that note included? I think I'd want to keep a series of full backups rather than a full followed by partials...
  20. Hi. Try using a different device following one of the links here... Understanding the device limit
  21. On the current build (Windows 11 / 10.43.7) I'm finding that after a restart the files in my Import Folder get processed again. I need to delete them after the first operation to avoid duplications...
  22. I used an Import folder which (5 years ago) sucked the content of the files into the body of the notes. You'd have to test what that process does now in v10... Do you have a specific task you're trying to accomplish here? If you can provide more information maybe we can suggest the best alternative.
  23. Hi. If you use Evernote for private and for business notes, I'd suggest you keep your subscription account for your private notes and create a new free account for business. Share notebooks between the two as you need to, but be aware that anything you save on a business computer is no longer private.
