  2. With a note open and the editor up (keyboard showing) swiping with four fingers to Safari and then back to Evernote causes a crash. This is reproducible with many notes almost each time. I’ve done a full uninstall and install of EN on iPad and all my offline folders are downloaded. Also, have multiple support tickets in that haven’t been answered in days, and one in a week, so I’m asking here... anyone else seeing this? If so, have you found a way to resolve it?

  4. If you're on the latest Evernote version, Evernote are already aware of some issues. As a subscriber you could report this to Support and give them some additional background that might help solve the issue...
  5. Hi. This Forum is (mainly) supported by users, and they don't let us anywhere near payment issues; but I flagged your post for an Admin to look at to ensure you get a speedy response.
  6. Evernote don't generally comment in this Forum on when or whether they'll release features. You can reach out to Support to get a comment, but it's most likely to be along the lines of "we're considering that as an option, but we don't have a timescale for its release".
  7. We're pushing them to include outstanding items on the release notices
  8. You're right, but after 10 years using this platform I got used to solving the problems myself and with the help of my fellow users. Evernote employees are too slow to answer, that's when they do. There should be some way to inform users that they are aware of a problem and that they are taking action.
  9. If it does not show, it is not available. I use my iTunes account for my payments, wherever possible. As I remember, it was possible for EN to do so through iOS.
  10. Go to Tools - Options - Navigation and un-check Automatically select child tags.
  11. Yeah, I'm lazy. I use sing character prefixes for those that I have, for dates, people, projects, GTD tags. One character in the tag search and the list is there.
  12. I've seen this comment before; the users never seem to have a problem with remembering the notebooks for a note. My new notes are collected in my inbox notebook, then processed on my Mac where I assign notebook, tags, etc I use a script to guide my tag assignment. The first tag is always the note type; for example Type-Receipt The type directs the other tag assognments.; receipts get a ventor tag and a budget tag >>But I´m having problems with tags sync (iOS-Mac). This is being discussed here There are differences in the two platforms; no hierarchy display in IOS I've compensated by using the previously discussed name prefix For example: in your use case (Technology, Mathematics), I wou;d use Subject-Technology, Subject-Mathematics
  13. I submitted ticket 2859537 I was trying to renew my Evernote Premium subscription to use PayPal, but the only option presented to me is credit card. Is there someway to get it to show up? In previous years, I did use credit cards to renew, but wanted to switch to PayPal this year. I am in the US using USD as payment currency. Thank you. - Marty username: martymankins
  14. Notebooks. Stackz and Tags should sync. The sync process is device <> server <> device For troubleshooting, I'd check the server version using the web platform at www.evernote.com This will help identify where the issue is occurring.
  15. Any ETA on fixing this issue: "Users without a retina display see fuzzy text in the editor "? It's been around for almost 8-9 months.
  16. As a Premium member, you can delete, what you like - you can always go to note history and restore a former status of the note. Only thing: The note must have been saved once, and been synced to the EN server. The note history is always running, for BASIC users as well - but access and restore is restricted to the paying accounts. If somebody on BASIC is afraid to have lost something, one can go for one month to PREMIUM, and restore, because the note history will have covered as well what has happened before. I am using 70% of my EN time my iPad, and have not lost a single note up to now. And if: Note history ! For me, the reason for locking notes is more with shared or business notebooks. There you can control it on a notebook level, but not note by note.
  17. 1) No, they should follow the movement on the Mac. Have you synced from the Mac to the server since moving stuff around ? If you have offline notebooks on iOS, this can create a time lag as well. You will see the download symbol behind the notebooks that are still syncing. Moving a note to another notebook means on iOS /offline that it will sync the note newly to the new notebook. The iOS client will not move it from one to the other, even if it is already there, downloaded to the old location. 2) No, if tags as such are concerned, same question as above. Yes, when tag structure is concerned, because on iOS the tag hierarchy will not show.
  18. Tags should sync without problems. There is just one issue to keep in mind: Tags can be nested in a hierarchy on the Mac. This deep structure will not be shown on the iOS device. The tags will be there, but not in the hierarchical structure. Tagging is a key function in EN, so I would rather give it a second thought. One note can only be in one notebook, but it can carry many tags. I do use notebooks and tags quite flexible. One example: During the year I collect invoices and other stuff relevant for my tax declaration. I am tagging them with #tax and #2019, no matter where they are in their notebooks. When it is time to do the tax declaration, I search for these tags and create a copy of the notes in a new notebook TAX2019. This notebook now contains all my tax relevant stuff for one year. I create a note with the table-of-content-function to make it easier to get an overview. And then I share this notebook with my accountant. He will work on it and prepare the tax declaration. When everything is done, I tag all notes in that notebook with a new tag #tax2019. Then I move the content to an archive notebook, and delete the shared notebook. By this, the access to the data is gone, but I can always reproduce what content has been in that tax declaration notebook in the respective year. This uses a basic though in Evernote: Notebooks are for the overall structure and properties like private, shared, offline etc. For content / information, use tags. If you do not share, hold nothing private or offline, you can live with just 1 mega-notebook, but not without tags. If you follow something like GTD, you can build your whole life around less than 10 notebooks, using tags. If you clean up your tags from time to time (like joining seldom used ones together), you can keep them neat and structured, much better than with moving notes around notebooks.
  19. On an odd note, this problem does not occur on another phone of mine, namely Huawei P10 lite Brand: HUAWEI Model: WAS-LX1 Product: WAS-LX1 Display: WAS-LX1 Display Width: 1080 Display Height: 1794 Display Density: 3.0 Android version: 8.0.0 Preloaded: false IsTablet: false Evernote version: 8.10(1082973) Evernote revision: 8.10_2482
  20. Hello! I didn´t know where I could to answer this... While I´m organizing my Evernote, I´ve done two things: 1. I´ve moved two notebooks to other stack to Evernote Mac but when I´m going to Evernote iPad, the notebooks don´t update and continue to stacks previous. 2. I´ve created tags to Evernote Mac but when I´m going to Evernote ipad has differents tags that version Evernote Desktop (Mac). the rest (notes, images..) are upgrade and sync correctly (Mac-iOS). This behavior is normal? Thank you!!
  21. Hello! Thank you!! You´re a friendly people ^^ I´m been seeing and the option that I prefered is to DTLow because I look the option more easy 😃 But I´m having problems with tags sync (iOS-Mac). Personally, I don´t like tags because when you create a new notes, you´ve that remember that tags you have to put it this note. Also, there are several persons that like me, they don´t prefer use too tags. I´m to question my problem with sync tags, but you options are very interested ^^ 😃 Thank you!
  22. I also would very much like to see the ability to lock notes. I have a new Android device on which I've installed evernote but I'm afraid to use evernote on it because my precious notes feel too vulnerable there!
  23. Is there any way to select the type of ink when you add a handwritten sketch to EverNote for iPad? I know you can change color and thickness, but the style of the ink is like a fountain pen, with drastic changes in thickness. I an not sure if it is my handwriting style, but it makes my notes pretty illegible. Can you choose to have a ballpoint per, or consistent thickness to your stroke? Also, it would be nice if you could change the settings for the background dots... the' are puts narrow ruled for guiding handwritten notes or jotting down text.
  24. Support is open for all paying users. With a Basic account, you can try this: https://twitter.com/evernotehelps
  25. Hi Have been using Evernote for 5yrs+, without major issues But I now have a major problem on Android (Samsung S8). I have not changed anything to my setup, but 2-3 weeks ago Evernote started acting super weird (note : i un-installed and reinstalled again, and same behavior) When I start Evernote new, I can open a note normally. However after this, if I try opening a note - it does not really load : it shows a blank note with a blank title (thought the information from the i button is correct), and then nothing happnes - at worst it freezes totally - anyway after this I have to crash the app, and start again This is obviously massively cumbersome and makes evernote Android close to un-usable Help please
