  1. Just uninstall the old version. They are not connected on your PC. If the uninstaller breaks v10 along the way, just reinstall v10 to get things going again.
  2. The third option is to ignore the warning banner while you make your plan. Nothing will stop overnight.
  3. And if the software just stopped working? For months we've been warning that the writing is on the wall for the older apps. In this case, the owners are damned if they tell you and damned if they don't. Instead of being annoyed, make your plan for your way forward. You can get rid of the warning by updating or choosing a different service.
  4. This is an option in the direct download versions of the desktop apps. If you are using a store version of Evernote, then uninstall, download the app from evernote.com and install. In the settings you can change the place where you store your data and, if you wish, turn off the warnings.
  5. I apologise for not understanding the issue. You sign up for a free service with a limit. You reach that limit and then expect to be able to step around the limit. The reset is achieved by subscribing for the next level up or waiting until the month is over. I'm not sure why you would expect anything else.

  7. This sort of issue has been reported to be resolved for SOME users using the Hardware Acceleration Disabled setting in the app settings under Application Preferences. Try and see if it helps. If not, reenable.

  9. While you are waiting to hear from support you can help yourself by dropping all your devices listed in your account settings. Also, Cancel your account. This sets your account to revert to free when your subscription expires. Free plan users are wel advised to limit themselves to the web client and a mobile device for greatest flexibility. I hope it works out for you.
  10. Then that's what you'll need to do. We are only user helping other users. To get help from Evernote support you'll need to open a support ticket. This is included in the paid subscription plans. If you are on a Free account you'll need to pay for support by subscribing for one month.

  12. The web client is the definitive content. So if you see stuff there then it is in your account. You might try rebuilding your local data in the desktop app. File, Sign Out and select the option to remove your data. When you sign back in everything will be downloaded from the cloud. It may take awhile but see what happens.

It seems that the development effort needed to pursue Linux for a limited return on investment wasn't something the Evernote owners were willing to make. At least a clear statement of intent had been given and users know where they stand.

  15. Unfortunately this software was discontinued several years ago. You will have to search the Internet for a source where it may still be available.
  16. The previous printing issue meant that the document appeared reduced to the size of a postage stamp. So not quite the same as for you @JerrySNB and 10.62.2 did fix the issue which had been widely reported. Yours is the the only report of this that I've seen. Your first option is likely to be to download Revo Uninstaller and use it to uninstall Evernote. Reboot the PC then reinstall Evernote.
  17. We aren't seeing lots of reports of this issue with v10.54.1 I think you'll need to open a support ticket.
  18. Scannable is an ancient thing. I suspect that you'll be better using a dedicated scanner application then attaching the output to a note either in the note or by the built in share function of iOS. I can't speak to whether the saving of a copy of images in Apple Images is normal. If it is, I doubt that there is a means to disable it.
  19. Yes, this seems to create a new directory and copy of the attachment that is opened. Even if no changes are made to the attachment a copy then is exists in the external-edits directory. No great crisis for me since I have plenty of spare storage. It looks like the copies of the attachments date back to 2021 so I suspect a change in the interaction with Evernote and opening attachments inside a note since whichever version was released in December 2021.
  20. No, I think you are correct. The store version is likely to give you more issues than the direct download. I asked the version you have installed. Sometimes users download the application and, because it doesn't report a new version available, they presume that they are up to date. Those of us who are regular have probably lost count of the times we are assured that someone has the latest version but, in fact, they do not. So knowing the version number can occasionally help provide a solution. Otherwise if you have version 10.62.2-win-ddl-public, I can only say that I don't experience the issue as you describe it. If you've tried rebuilding your data and, otherwise a clean uninstall with Revo Uninstaller, then your only option is to pursue this with Evernote tech support.
  21. The whole AI Powered Search is a beta project. The changes to the Standard search results are a trial too. Please feedback your thoughts to feedback@evernote.com or to @Federico Simionato I don't believe that the intent had been to reduce the functions of Standard search.
  22. I think you're stuck and beyond help. If you cannot find a pre-v10 APK to side load then there is no help for you. Sorry. As you realise, there is no support for the old versions. If it doesn't work on a device then it doesn't work. The only advice is to use v10.
  23. Grab it from the Google Play Store. It should offer you the correct APK for your device.
