  1. I think the problems with the tag and notebook search in the standard dialogue is probably a valuable piece of feedback for @Federico Simionato.
  2. What @Dave-in-Decatur suggested. I would have added a question. Which version of the Evernote app do you have and is it the download from evernote.com or from the Microsoft Store?
  3. You don't have to switch it on - just use it or not as you wish.
  4. I don't have an answer to the thirty day thing. Other than to note that it isn't that your data is held for thirty days and then deleted. Rather your data will not be held for more than thirty days. But you're data isn't used for other 'users making similar queries'. The AI Powered Search only uses your data for your queries. Have you seen the Evernote blog post? You might find that interesting. https://evernote.com/blog/ai-powered-search/
  5. Another user asked a similar question and got an answer from @Federico Simionato. Does that assist?
  6. I still have the AI search option - Windows desktop v10.62.2 Direct Download version. I click inside the search box and that brings out the option for the Standard or AI Powered Search. There is no switch to enable the AI Powered Search. You select it in the search process and off you go. Or you select Standard and don't use the AI engine. Since AI Powered Search is in BETA and is a server function it is possible that it may disappear for a period while the developers make changes, fixes or improvements.
  7. As @gazumped says. Plus, to observe, that the store versions of the app have some significant limitations. I'd recommend uninstalling the store app and going to the link suggested and switching to the direct download.
  8. Which version of Evernote are you using? An update addressing the lost/missing content issue was released earlier. You should be on 10.62.2
  9. I presume you tried the options in the start of the thread. Which version of the Desktop app are you using? Is it the direct download or from the Mac or Windows store?
  10. Yes, even if we could or wanted to, the answer for v5 or even the more recent Legacy apps will be 'upgrade to v10'.
  11. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Even restarting your computer may help. I don't remember the program that is recommended for Mac users. On Windows we recommend Revo Uninstaller which completely cleans out the old sometimes damaged program files.
  12. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true Select the Account option Also check the Email address the warning was sent to. I got one the other day which was linked to a different address to my main account.
  13. I get that you were using ENScript to achieve your backup. That function now only exists outside Evernote but if you are competent scripting with ENScript you'll not have any problems with the evernote-backup project I mentioned previously. If you want to achieve this inside Evernote then your only option is to manually export each notebook in v10. Given that this is one notebook at a time I can see that this probably won't work for you. Of course you have the option to continue to work with Legacy for now but I would strongly advise that you make a good plan for the future of your notes since the writing is on the wall for Legacy. I'd say you have months but not years to make your plan and decide where to go. Why not try evernote-backup while you still have Legacy running. It will work outside the app so you can try it and see if it does what you need. I understand that evernote-backup is a clone of ENScript so you may well be familar with it. 14. Speaking personally only, I am not convinced that the versions of Android tweaked to work with various folding devices always play well with Evernote so it is possible that your device and Evernote don't share content well. That said, I just checked the two news apps I routinely use on my device and Evernote 10.54.1 managed to receive the content that was shared with it. I then checked news sites that I don't normally use and none of them offered me the option to share with Evernote at all. I'd go with @gazumped that this is a glitch with the news apps trying to lock down their content but I wouldn't rule out Evernote not working well with your device either.
  15. If you wait for it to arrive in the app that can take awhile. If you want to get ahead go to evernote.com/download to get the latest version and install manually.
  16. I switched one of my accounts just yesterday and it went really smoothly. So the issue you describe isn't universal. I cancelled the SMS Auth first and then set up the app approach. In the process you have to give codes from the Authenticator and the emergency codes. It is possible to mix these up and that would generate the error you describe. Otherwise, you can open a support ticket.
  17. I think that the intention is to get users of v10 to move forward to versions that support the new sync. The Windows Legacy that was released just prior to the arrival of v10 was 6.25.3 No dots
  18. I'm sorry that you seem to be having challenges using the v10 software. If it doesn't work for you then I can understand why you prefer to go back to the Legacy software. I share my experience to see if it might assist you in knowing where you might make progress. 1. I find the sync virtually instant. I was just typing in a note in one Window and can see the text updating simultaneously on my other device. The Real Time Edit/Sync process is about as fast as it can be but, of course, this requires all the devices involved to be v10. It also requires the mobile devices to be brought to the foreground. In this case I usually find the devices catch up within a very few seconds. 2. I agree that the offline notebook process for mobile is slow. 3. I haven't seen these unviewable attachments on mobile for sometime but I can unerstand why this would be a problem. 4. I have no problem in creating a shortcut to a note on my device screen on my mobile device. This function was broken for a week or two earlier in the summer but has been working fr sometime. I manage shortcuts more generally with the shortcuts widget. Perhaps not what you would like but it may do what you need. 5. There are several ways of achieving this. I use the Github evernote-backup project. Others prefer Backupery but this is not free 6. Yes, but it is extremely easy to automate this within Windows. I have a batch file that runs on my preferred schedule 7. I'm not clear which app you are referring to. The Windows desktop app and Android app both open wherever you leave them. So leave in Note view and that's where you will return. Have you raised a support ticket for the issues that a fully broken (rather then not workingf as you would like)? The attachment view issue, for example, is not intended to work as you experience and it would seem to be a bug although not affecting everyone. The issues that don't work as you would like might be better submitted via the Feedback in the apps which generate an Email to feedback@evernote.com Meanwhile you might want a plan for the day when Legacy stops working unless you can make peace with v10.
  19. Evernote has withdrawn some old versions prior to v10.60 The last release of the so called Legacy software was retained for now but perhaps the very old v5 is now dead. As others have said, only support can tell you ...
  20. You need to ask Google about the roll out. Google's algorithm decides who is in whichever stage. iOS users have the option to install manually if they don't want to wait for the scheduled delivery to their device. FWIW 10.54.1 arrived with me today.
  21. There is no option to 'downgrade'. Select 'Cancel your Evernote subscription' on the Billing page. You will drop to Free when your subscription runs out.
