  1. @ufrei You're talking to other users here - at least most of the time - and we aren't offering you anything I seem to recall that this was an issue reported sometime back by a few users and the fix was to completely uninstall the Evernote application ensuring that the data and program directories were removed then start from the beginning and reinstall the latest version. Even then the update process seems to be slow for some users and many of us choose to manually upgrade. But the reverting to the previous version you report was usually fixed by a complete uninstall. Many of us use the Revo Uninstaller program to get the clean out needed. There are others or you can use the default Windows unistall and then check that %AppData%\Evernote and %LocalAppData%\Programs\Evernote directories and also deleted before the reinstall.
  2. This is an issue in the new editor. It affects a number of inserted items. I get the same thing around some images that are placed in a note. I've also noticed it a few times when I've copied and pasted HTML coded content which leads me to concur with @PinkElephant that this is an HTML code issue. I can live with it quite easily but I'd certainly open a support ticket if it was a major thing.
  3. Other than sending the Email to Evernote and then adding a task manually I don't think there's a better way. Sounds like a good idea though.
  4. My apologies, I was responding on the basis that this was a web browser issue as described. I can see the wider issue. I would raise a support ticket. It looks like some form of software protection against running scripts which might 'damage' your PC etc. It might even be something built into Electron. Until then I guess that the only option in v10 is to highlight the URL and copy and paste into a browser.. Definitely not the preferred solution but a work around until you can get the issue raised for attention.
  5. I think you should expect the answer to be, 'No'. Many applications do not support multiple instances. You should continue to use the Legacy application whilst you make plans for adjusting your workflow. Of course, I have no secret knowledge and it may be something that changes. However, yours is the first request I've seen so I doubt that there is much pressure for this function to be developed under v10
  6. It wasn't removed but has taken sometime to build in to v10. As it is copy and paste works in the desktop apps and drag and drop seems to work intermittently. It is being worked on and I imagine it will be working fully sooner rather than later.
  7. Presumably an entirely different piece of code. If the classic editor works for you then why not just use it...
  8. Copy and paste works for me in Windows too. Drag and drop doesn't seem to work well ... yet.
  9. @kaijun912 Calm! You are free to rant but remember these forums are primarily user-to-user so we didn't do anything and can't fix anything for you. It seems that you either didn't understand the limits on free accounts or believed that you wouldn't be affected by them. Nobody has been cruel or picked on you. The free account limits have just been applied as they are to all free users. You can either make your changes over a couple of months or pay for one month of Personal plan access and make all the changes now. Given your description I infer that you have a few very large notes which may automatically exceed the note size limit. If you pay for one month then take the opportunity to split large notes or remove large attachments. Put attachments into an external service and link to them rather than attaching them. Then you have the chance to export your data and use a product which better meets your needs.
  10. I've had this a couple of times. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and or fixed the issue.
  11. Using Windows you can encrypt your hard disk where Evernote resides. I use the native Windows Bitlocker but I'm sure that other options exist. A few users have done some clever stuff using symbolic links to cause Evernote to be saved on other drives than the C:\ drive You would have to search for the posts to find out how to do it. It was, though, straightforward as I recall.
  12. I'm with @PinkElephant I, too, closed a business in COVID. I downgraded the business account to free and it sits happily with nothing happening. The only risk is that I might make some changes which count against a more limited data transfer allowance. If you really need to export then do it by notebook.
  13. Yes but... The heading for these threads is clear enough... Staff do, occasionally, drop by but the main mode of support is user-to-user. Don't expect more, but if you get it then it is a pleasant surprise
  14. I'm not sure that views for a thread tell you much about concern for the issue. Some, like me, are just curious to see what is being discussed. Others may find, having read the topic, that their issue isn't what has been described. Certainly the number of individuals posting, the number of followers (just seven for this topic) and, in some discussions, the number of upvotes would be a better indication.
  15. Well this thread had been going since 2011. No change in a decade so I'm not holding my breath even though the image thumbnail is broken in v10.
  16. This thread is 4 years old and in that time just 13 different people have indicated that they would like a Grammarly integration. Hardly an overwhelming vote. Definitely not 'all'. I can't see that being the kind of support that would justify an investment - especially when EN is focused on finishing is v10.x release. FWIW I don't need it either...
  17. I don't use Outlook but since v10.23 I have been able to copy and paste into Word so I imagine that copy and paste will work into Outlook too.
  18. Hi @carlosgm, I am somewhat confused by your questions. Because you raised you raised this in the 'Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)' area I had started by assuming that you are using the the Windows v10 application. However, now, you refer to the Google chrome browser so could you be using the web interface rather than the Windows application? Since you say you have deleted all your browser history I'm guessing you are using the web browser interface. Also, initially, you said that "This widget does not work for me, it does not update" but now you say that the widget does update but only after 5-10 minutes. Let's see what I can say... In the Windows desktop application: Sign Out and select Remove my Evernote data from this device. When you sign back in the data is rebuilt. In the browser version you do not have this option since you are connecting directly to the server and nothing is stored on your device. I'm pleased that the widget has started to work for you. The delay is normal. The refresh of the widget is not instant so 5-10 minutes would, I think, be about what you should expect.
  19. This is not an intended effect. I've seen it reported a very few times and, sadly, nobody returned to explain what or whether they found a resolution. It seems your device is reporting itself to Evernote with multiple identities. As a free user your options are limited. You are probably best starting with the Twitter support team @evernotehelps These forums are primarily user-to-user so the chance of getting a support tech here to help is limited. One of the other regulars may recall a solution.
  20. Your version of what is 1.09a-r3? That doesn't seem to be a version of Evernote. I used to experience the things you describe in the old version 8 Evernote for Android. Version 10 saving of URL content seems to be much more reliable. However, both rely on an intermediate sharing process within the device. You choose to sahre a web page (for example) and the OS sends it to Evernote which accepts what is sent in the manner and format that is sent by the originating browser via the OS. I used to find that the Chrome browser on Android was more reliable than my prefered default.
  21. Ctrl+Shift+D does work for me in Evernote 10 for Windows. However, neither of the keystrokes insert in a format that I require. I use a program called Autohotkey and use that to aid my keyboard automation. I have a couple of keystrokes set up to instert date/time in a format I want. I have another shortcut to effectively run a macro in my Email program to forward Emails to my Evernote account and so forth. A useful enhancement all around for my purposes.
  22. Downgrading does not affect notes already in your account. But while you are downgraded to Free you will be subject to free limits on relation to changes to notes, uploading etc. So don't edit a larger note until you have returned to your new Professional or Personal plan.
  23. Assuming you are on the Personal plan and not the free plan. Exit Evernote and select the option to remove your data. When you log back in that should rebuild your data and the widget should work.
  24. @willoh Hopefully you feel better for having had your say. However these are primarily user-to-use forums so whilst we can empathize we have no means of helping. It is possible to get the apk for the older version and use that if you wish. It is will documented in these forums. If you want to give feedback then the option in the app is the way to go. Otherwise open a support ticket to get help with a specific issue.
  25. But, as it happens, I can do both of those things in Evernote 10 and Android. I just opened a note containing a PDF - opened the PDF as was able to zoom in and out with the typical finger pinch in Android. In Windows, I took my pen, started a new Sketch note (the equivalent of the Ink note in Legacy) and it worked just as expected. The pen never worked in a standard note in Legacy and doesn't in v10. So these functions appear to me just as they have aways been. I am also able to annotate a PDF on my desktop with a pen. Actually I don't typically do this but I tested and it worked.
