  1. Hi. X closes the window but leaves Evernote running. File > Quit closes the app down. If you have Task Manager you can search for Evernote processes to confirm it has shut down correctly...
  2. Since the previous regime didn't actually increase prices for 6 years or so, I think you're completely incorrect. I suspect that the new v10 was nitially such a badly-judged and badly-received product that the Powers That Be didn't dare to try to increase their charges for fear of prompting a mass exodus. The new guys came along and have already dived into fixing reliability and speed as well as dealing with quite a few bugs. They've now taken a business decision to charge what they think the product is worth so they can fund current operations and further development. They run a pretty successful existing operation in Italy and they're not some kind of venture-capital asset-strippers. We all have the same choice. If Evernote costs too much, then just leave your existing stuff in a free account and use something else until you find a service worth using. Since the CEO of Evernote is a user and a fan (he liked it so much - he bought the company), I'd think we're in pretty safe hands...
  3. It could be they are looking into the whole Teams split account thing and trying to sort out an issue they inherited from the 'old' Evernote team but didn't know about until you raised your query. Support seem like good people - they will get to you as soon as they can.
  4. @agsteele - any information (or actual documentation) on how this stuff works? Do we need to opt-in, or is this now a standard feature? Any security implications?
  5. Chat support is suspended so they have as many people clearing tickets as possible, and the price is going up after 6 years or so because genuine new value is being added now and in the future. If you can spare the time to complete a support request, they're probably best placed to advise you eventually. Meantime if you start with a list of devices / OS and Evernote versions maybe we can offer some suggestions?
  6. Hi. Please confirm your device / OS / Evernote version and browser; plus - how big are your picture files, and do they display in Goodnotes?
  7. Perhaps you can explain exactly what you are trying to do so we can actually try to help? Your device / OS and Evernote version would also be nice...
  8. Hi. If you pay Evernote direct, go to https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action and look for the 'billing' section. Any changes will take effect after the current payment period expires. Remember that you're only allowed toconnect to the new account through two devices, which basically means the web - which you need for managing your account - plus one other: usually a tablet or phone. Check the current devices and revoke access to everything but the two you will use from the 'Devices' section of this page. If you pay via iTunes - see your subscription options there.
  9. From answers I got in another forum, some people already have it (or are very confused) in 10.61.7 I don't, and I've updated to the latest latest version 10.61.10 and still get the 'coming soon' status. Guess they're to the stage of doing a limited trial release, and we'll see the full version within weeks...
  10. Don't see why anything here would affect your passwords. Evernote is not the best place to keep passwords (if that's what you mean) when there are dozens of specialist apps and browser extensions like BitWarden which offer useful features - https://www.g2.com/products/bitwarden/competitors/alternatives.
  11. If you want to query it, contact Support - most folks here are just confused users.
  12. Your data won't be 'gone' - it's still there somewhere; you just lost access temporarily. If you're a subscriber, contact Support (that's not us). They can trace your account and hopefully reconnect you. https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new for email. or Settings > Support via a phone.
  13. Hi. You're reporting this in the legacy forums, where there is no development or support. What device OS and Evernote version are you using? Have you tried simply downloading the update again and reinstalling?
  14. ...and the major drawback is: you use Legacy for many essential tasks. What will you do when Legacy stops working? Which is will do at some unspecified time in the future. You have to at least try the new version; I'm now using it daily without (touch wood) any major issues yet...
  15. Hi. That happens occasionally and -usually- not for very long. Have you powered your device off and on again recently? It may just need a restart.
  16. Google clipper is still available from the Google Workspace Marketplace - you may be able to simply re-install it. If not, the normal browser clipper will work - haven't tried it in a while, but there was a special 'Google' option there too. If all else fails, forward emails to your Evernote account address (you have to be a subscriber for this to work.)
  17. They're the new owners who stepped in with a plan to make Evernote better, so yes - I'd say everything to do with them.
  18. Hi. We're mainly users here in the forums, and everyone is going through something similar. The increase was announced a few months ago here - https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-pricing-upcoming-features-update/ with some publicity from commentators since. Evernote had not increased their prices for some years while the controversy over their introduction of the new version 10 rolled on, and with recent inflation roaring ahead they needed some basis from which to continue their service. The effect varies because of currencies and onflation and various discount deals that were in place, and obviously you got one of the extremes. There's a contact email in the blog post where you can complain, and maybe see whether there is any accommodation they can offer. At the end of the day we all have to make the decision: are the features worth the price? If not, there are lots of alternatives out there, and Steve Dotto recently covered pricing and the mechanics of moving to some of them in his YouTube channel.
  19. I sympathise, but while you know you're only connecting with two devices, I wonder if Evernote knows that? And the web counts as a device too, so you have actually tried three. Best option would be to use the web version on your desktop and the app on iPhone. You'll need the web version to log into https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action and check what devices Evernote thinks are connecting. You have two chances to fix this before you revert to paying - or waiting...
  20. Well - we were told that the team were 'cleaning up some old code' - maybe they got a little carried away. Best advice as usual is - use the Settings > Support link in the phone to contact Support and tell them of the issue. The more contacts, the faster the fix...
  21. We may have to disagree on that one - admin of any account is largely in the hands of the account holder; seems like you may have missed the memo on the Teams account split and 6 years later something was changed that caused your issue. No company with millions of users can afford to give individual personal service - and you submitted a ticket 24 hours or so ago: it normally takes a couple of days for a human to get involved...
