  1. That was the last public version issued. It should work fine - but beware updates which might hijack it to v10. The later versions (.2 and .3) were adapted to work better alongside v10. Once you get your database upgraded to 6.25 I would add my recommendation that you bite the bullet and adopt v10 as soon as possible - the Legacy versions are increasingly being left behind by operating system and browser updates. I held out against v10 for a good year, but I now use Legacy only occasionally on an old laptop because the device doesn't have the storage or memory to run v10. I'm using v10 full time during the day.
  2. I don't think any impropriety is implied - any install can be corrupted by the device, the connection or a random gremlin. Try installing the newest version from https://evernote.com/download
  3. Do your records show you how many years the 'old' Evernote bumbled along without any price increase? Given current rates of inflation and the long gap since the last increase, the new owners didn't see any choice but to put Evernote on a par with other services. It's a big reset. Like others here, I still think the features are worth the cost. YMMV.
  4. ...and your caps lock is broken too. Please don't SHOUT. We're mainly users here, so there will be no active fixing by us - plus our ESP seems to be broken, so we'll need details of your device / OS (ie Mac version) / Evernote and browser (if applicable) to offer any suggestions. If you're a subscriber you can report all of the above to Support who will be able to help you - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new Free users can use the app formerly known as Twitter - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps -In both cases it's often easier to use the Settings > Support option in the mobile client
  5. Hi. Have you tried creating a new note with the app camera?
  6. I don't use free apps for anything requiring reliability - you tend to get what you pay for. Subscriptions on the other hand give you access via unlimited devices, and to Support if you have any issues.
  7. Whenever Evernote issues a new update it's released over a period of days or weeks because 1) the company has millions of users - too many attempted downloads in a short period could crash their server; and 2) the various 'stores' - Apple, Google and Windows - all have their own acceptance process to go through before updates are added to those sites. Checking an installed app for updates will often still show "you have the latest version" when there is a new one out there. If you wish to update as soon as possible, the best way is to download the latest version from the website at https://evernote.com/download
  8. It is possible to use an Evernote widget for quick access to a new note, or camera note, but nothing for Home screen or scratchpad yet...
  9. The forums here are mainly supported by other users, so "we" don't have any testers that we're aware of. Linux users are part of the general Evernote community so hopefully will be aware that things are not progressing. (The last Linux version being 10.29 might have been a clue...). If any questions come up in the forums we'll let the posters know the position. The current web version is now much more advanced than the Linux client, but if an existing tester finds the beta version is useful, then they can continue to use it.
  10. Hi. There are more details here which may help... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314238
  11. Most news apps these days require a sign-in. When Evernote leans in to clip it looks like a separate new connection to the site and can't access the material you want. Try other methods - can you copy / paste into a note? Print the content to PDF or another format? I don't think Evernote can solve this for you...
  12. Hi. Do you check the IP address to see where the logins are coming from? I have the same sort of notice, and it's usually one of my devices that's the 'new' login. ID-ing a device by IP address is not an exact science, as VPNs, different locations and firewalls can sometimes show new details. If you have a secure password that's not used elsewhere, and 2FA enabled, you're secure. I'm happy that Evernote warn us about this stuff so we can check it's not some kind of attack... Here's the 'official' guide: What to do if you suspect unauthorized access to your Evernote account
  13. Hi. As already mentioned, AI cleanup and AI search do not come into play unless you specifically request it. It's not necessary to 'opt out' - though I agree maybe opt-in features should be in a drop-down or under the "+" icon.
  14. Only if you tell them about it - I run the same version (although I'm about to update to 10.62) and my Win 11 laptop sleeps just fine. If you haven't powered your laptop off and back on in some time, you may find a simple restart does the job; if not I'd suggest signing out of Evernote, removing your current installation with something like Revo Uninstaller Free (which reaches the parts other uninstallers do not) then re-downloading/ reinstalling 10.62 and signing back in.
  15. Wow - and there it was, gone. Actually I zapped another post by the same user earlier which simply reopened an old thread by repeating a solution that had already been posted. I was giving this one a chance, but RIP steve...
  16. So support got back to me to ask for more information (which is fair...) but as I try to repeat my issue, it seems to be fixed already! @marcobgood - are you having the same experience?
  17. My bad - I read the calendar help pages as saying you could only connect to one calendar; it's actually one account, so yes, you can have several calendars from non-Google calendar accounts connected to a Google 'shadow' account and connected to Evernote.
  18. Thanks for sharing, but I'd imagine everyone who deletes their subscription gets the same message, so it's not exactly a surprise. Plus - it lasts for one year so you get a reprieve - until you find out what next year's subscription will be... Best of luck!
  19. Surely the reason for separate calendars is to keep entries separate, not mash them all into one calendar? Up to you if you want to try...
  20. ? Evernote is under new ownership as of 9 months ago - I don't think the previous 10+ years of waiting actually count; they've not had time to do anything much other than to fix sync (user request) address speed issues (user request) and add AI options (user request). Plus it's not possible to have a 'pinned' window on the home page or pin posts with reminders. What else exactly are you looking for?
  21. Hi. If you are a subscriber and have this issue, please make sure you have the latest Evernote version for your device. If so, please contact Support - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new Free users can use "X" - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (In both cases it's usually easier to use the Settings > Support option in the mobile client)
  22. ..."Small files?" I have Windows 11 and Evernote 10.61.10 which works perfectly. I'd suggest you sign out of Evernote, opting not to keep a copy of your database on the device; then use Revo Uninstaller Free to remove all traces of the app from your system. Download and install the latest available version of the app from Evernote.com and sign in with your existing user details. The server has the 'parent' copy of your notes and will recreate any necessary support files. If you do decide to move your content elsewhere, go to the Notebooks page in Evernote, choose the three-dots menu to the right of the notebook name, and export all your notes to HTML, PDF or ENEX as you require.
