  1. Open a note and then note info in a mobile app. If the note was created on a mobile app with GPS allowed for the EN app, the location is already there, showing as a Pin on a map. If no information is there, a blank area shows below the other information, telling you „Tap here to add a location“. If you tap a large map of your rough area appears. Zoom in and move the map until you see the area of interest, tap to set a Pin 📍 where you want. If the map is already there, zoom in and tap on the Pin. You see „Drag and drop to move the Pin“ - so place your finger on the Pin, move it elsewhere on the screen and drop it there. It is intuitive, but takes time. I think an alternative way to add location data by entering coordinates would be nice. It would help if tapping on the map would simply add the current location, which usually would be „good enough“. A different way is to create a set of tags with the location (Home, Work, Park, School, …) and add the tag. Search is way easier than by coordinates, and it is sufficient for most use cases.
  2. Just tried the AI features and edited my posting. Change tone is not yet working.
  3. Like this: Write summary - correct orthography - assist in writing - translate - change tone It does in fact produce some usable results - I tested it on a recent meeting report, and it was quite capable to draw summaries or next steps from it pretty nicely.
  4. I usually get through, when I insist. You can reopen any ticket from the help pages. Log in (hope it works there), go to your tickets, choose on and reactivate it.
  5. How did you update ? Fresh install, or by loading a backup from Time Machine ?
  6. Gremlins ... maybe. If something doesn't show up, you can scroll the row with the sharing icon to the left. At the far right is an icon with 3 dots. When you tap it, more options are showing. Some can be installed from there, and the order of the icons can be rearranged. In question sometimes a simple restart of an iOS device solves problems.
  7. And this means the code (JS=Java Script, the language used to code the EN app) derails. It executes code 1, this tries to call code 2 to continue. But code 2 is stored in an older version, and the call fails. This is deep down in the engine room. I think it requires a developer / engineer to take a look at the activity log and probably the action going on on the server. Maybe a reset of some code is needed to fix it. You need to contact support: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  8. Once notes are synced to the EN server from any syncing (!) legacy client, they are on the server. From there on it just takes v10 to be installed and logged into the account. Once the account is open, it will download the notes from the server, and convert them to the v10 data structure. In this case no export/import is needed. But if you can't sync with the server, because your client is even older, you first must bring your notes on the server. Option 1 means you create ENEX files - they can be read by all versions, even if you use an older client to create them. Option 2 means you manage to get an in between legacy client, get your notes synced through it and then install v10. Since your notes are then already on the server, it will simply sync them with v10, and be done.
  9. OK, I have dug a little. If you read this thread, you may find similarities. In the case of these users, a password reset was necessary to solve similar problems.
  10. What you get is this instead, and you say you get it BEFORE you enter any user data (Please confirm):
  11. After the login, I get a screen with a nice animation (without screenshot). Then my account opens, looking like this. The URL will not change, even if I click on it (6):
  12. After clicking on Log In, I get this. The URL has changed a little (4), and I enter my user credentials (3 steps, user - password - 2FA) (5): P.S. I take you through what I see to see where exactly (!) your login goes wild !
  13. @Michael Vanyukov I second the trial account proposed by @ferol . It can't do harm, just generate some insight. We agree that EN support is at the moment not the place we will send you, as long as there are still ideas in the forum. It may be that in the end this will become necessary, but we can still proceed without. Step by step opening EN in Firefox: Open the Firefox browser. Into the browser URL field, enter evernote.com (1). This should be the result - the parts in grey (2) were added by Firefox automatically. Now click on Log In (3) (or however it is called):
  14. If you mean the screenshot from your other post (the one where you tried to hijack another users thread), you should learn about closing a running clients window is not the same than quitting a client execution. Maybe get a refresher course in "How I use Windows, Part 1 for Beginners". You only closed the EN app window. The formatting can easily be reverted by going to the apps settings, Notes and toggle the setting for optimized view / adapt to window size. If your blah blah contains more of these "questions", I propose you learn how to use thew forum search, instead of posting long answered stuff again.
  15. @meh! Don't hijack other peoples threads. 1) your client is still running, you didn't quit. 2) This is solved, you simply have the wrong view settings and can change this easily. If you now still want to discuss about these, open new threads.
  16. You likely have filled all caches with the same data dump while trying. But: You can’t have Safari on a PC, because it runs on Apple devices only. If up to now you never tried Firefox, I would install and use it. Else nuke all website data that have collected on the browsers used up to now.
  17. Yes, poor screen real estate leads to a clickful life 😅 But for Highlight in Yellow, there is a keyboard shortcut, so no clicks at all. Only other colors need to be clicked.
  18. If your computer was out of storage, and now it is not, then it is not (at least now). If your notes are synced with the EN cloud server, they are on the server. The moment you have v10 installed, open and log into your account, the v10 client will start to download them. There is no need to mess with EXB files or whatever you try to do. If you are still on a very old legacy version (everything before 6.25.3) and it stopped syncing months ago (which was the starting point of this thread), the ways to recover these notes could be these: Option 1: Export the notes to ENEX files, that can be imported into later versions of EN Option 2: Install an EN client version that can still handle your 6.2.4 local database (make a copy of it and store it under a different name first, to have a fallback option). I assume (without positively knowing) that all version 6 clients have this ability. This means you could install 6.25.3 from filehippo.com, and have it grab and convert your existing local notebooks. After that sync everything with the EN server, to have them available when installing v10. You have only 7 days left for all this - on the 23rd of March the last legacy clients will stop syncing as well.
  19. The only additional clicks happen when one want a different color for the highlighter. There legacy was indeed more efficient: These clicks were avoided because the highlighter was always yellow. More colors were requested by the users, but never implemented. Now we have them, and (surprise) to select a different color requires an additional click.
  20. We have had more reports about broken links, to different apps. It looks like an update introduced this as a bug. The only way to get them restored is through EN support. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  21. BTW these 2 informations don’t match. (1) is the version of iOS, and this would mean an iPhone. On an iPad the version would be called iPadOS 17.3.1. (2) is the version of an EN client installed on a Mac computer. This is a desktop client, unable to be installed or to run on an iOS device. To have the sharing symbol on an iOS device, the iOS client must be installed on that device.
  22. The latest legacy version on MacOS is 7.14. On Windows it is 6.25 - that’s why most people speak about version 6 when they mean legacy. All legacy clients will stop syncing on the 23rd of March 2024 - this includes the version you are currently running on the Mac. You either install the current version 10 client - which requires MacOS 10.14 as minimum system requirement. Or you start using the web client in any modern browser. Your notes are already on the server (except any notes in local only, not synced notebooks). Once you log in with the new client, your notes will be automatically connected and downloaded (installed client) or showing (web). If you have any unscynced local only notebooks, you need to take care of these yourself. But check if you have - most legacy users never used this feature.
  23. Safari uses WebKit, its own engine. Edge ist based on Chrome(ium), as is the Electron framework in which EN is running. The 3rd independent engine is the one used by Firefox.
  24. Your account status here in the Forum says you are in Free. Check your account status her (screenshot from iPad): And yes, for all account and payment issues you need support.
