  1. I have used Hookmark extensively to link to files outside of Evernote. The links have worked perfectly until about two weeks ago. Now, when I click on the links, they do not do anything. If I use the dropdown and click on "Open" they do not open. I've copied the links into other applications and they work, so the issue is with Evernote. I am using version 10.80.3 of Evernote.
  2. I use TextExpander extensively in Evernote. Snippets with plain text work fine, but I am unable to create snippets create headers. For example, if the snippet enters ## Heading 2, it enters the text with the hash marks, but it doesn't format the text as a header. I have tried using plain text and formatted text.
  3. As a long-time Evernote user (2008), it has been a rocky road for the last 8 years. We went through long periods with little communication from the Evernote development team, and when they made an announcement, it was usually a nothing burger. The once robust Evernote community became a toxic wasteland filled with complaints. Following the purchase by Bending Spoons, those complaints turned into endless "I'm finally leaving Evernote" posts. It was so bad that someone created an "Evernote Positive" forum on Reddit and banned anyone who just wanted to complain and write extensive essays about why they are finally leaving Evernote. Ugh. This past few months, Bending Spoons has delivered on many of the promises made over the last few years. I follow non-Evernote forums like Mac Power Users, and there are several comments like, "Wow, have you seen what Evernote is doing?" Thank you, Bending Spoons, for taking a struggling, dying app and giving it new life. I am very encouraged by your direction and excited to see the new features added to Evernote. You have definitely earned my renewal this year!
  4. All of the above work and I will begin using the icons. Thanks for the suggestions!
  5. Another feature request related to "Optimize Readability" is to give the user the option to set the percentage of the view in relationship to the margins. In other words, I can set the notes area to fill a percentage of the notes area. As it is right now, on a large monitor, the notes area is rather small in comparison to the rest of the note. Following the redesigned UI, tables that correctly displayed are now clipped with very small columns. Changing to "Fit to WIndow" on a large monitor creates an unwieldy note with text stretching across the entire note.
  6. Does anyone know of a workaround for inline tags? For example, This is a quote. #quote I would like to be able to tag individual sentences within a note and then create a search for "#quote" and have Evernote return only the notes with that inline tag. Instead, Evernote search will return every note with the word "quote" in it, which is meaningless. Thanks in advance for any help.
  7. In the Note Info window for the Created Field add a "Today" button that will jump the date in the calendar to today's date. Currently, you must click through the months with the right arrow until you get to the current month.
  8. Thanks for the suggestion, Mike. This does work on Windows and for MacOS your comment reminded me of a utility called Hook that accomplishes a similar task. I replaced the links in Evernote with the Hook URL and it works perfectly. Thanks!
  9. I am using version 10.46.7. After a recent update, Evernote has added "http://" to any link to a local file. Previously, I linked to files on my hard drive and they have a link like /user/NAME/folder/document.docx. I could click on the link and it would open in Word and I could edit. Now, all of my links to local files have "http://" in front of the local ink - "http:///user/NAME/folder/document.docx". This opens the default browser and obviously the file is not found. This has happened to all links to local files throughout Evernote.
