  1. Yes, I understand there is a certain frustration when switching between 2 app generations that are at least 10 years apart in their philosophy. Who was with v10 from day one like myself got them more step by step. No way around adapting workflows. Don’t hesitate to come asking.
  2. AFAIK you can’t. Both belong to the same client, and use the same zoom factor.
  3. My shooter of choice for the Mac is Shottr. Menu bar app, with a ton of options. You can’t create a note directly, of course. If you want to send screenshots to EN, save them into an Import Folder.
  4. AI Edit is still a beta test. As such anything can go wrong. The usual dance is log out / log in, maybe with a quit the app / restart the computer and uninstall the app / restart the computer. When this fails, you will only find answers with support.
  5. Your question has been answered already: You retain access to all existing notes and can even edit them. You can’t create new notes, and you can’t move them. https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-free-note-limits
  6. If you do more of the same, you get more of the same. Which in the case of EN led into a chronical lack of profitability, and finally in being sold / taken over. I doubt anybody wants more of the doing that led to this result ...
  7. EN does not support multi tasking with the mobile client. It will show, but not handle the reduced screen real estate. The mobile client was not optimized for tablets, and especially not for the iPads own way of multitasking. So it adapts badly to the challenge. You can ask the team for improvements here: feedback@evernote.com
  8. LOL - yes he posted "Getting same issue" on a thread that had been silent for 2 years before. No m ore information, which makes it instant nonsense. There were about 50 releases between this and the post before. Nobody can have "the same issue", because the software was completely renewed several times over since.
  9. You don't have 2 windows on the Android client. That's the subform where you started this thread. So what about starting your quest(ion) with a simple information about OS, client version and other possible points of interest ?
  10. Don't know which web clipper feature broke, because none is broken (at least to my attention). There was a discussion about pdf clipping, which showed to be a correct behavior of the web clipper. The pdf was dynamically created from the website, so it showed, but couldn't be clipped. Printing the page to a pdf, and saving this into EN is a proven solution for the cases I have encountered. This requires no fix, because nothing is broken.
  11. If every freeloader who stays causes a loss of money by consuming resources, getting rid of that folk is definitely a win. EN had "acquired" a solid stock of "loyal" users - loyal in the meaning they expected to get all they needed for free, for ever. No idea what was the plan of the former management with these holdouts of non performing accounts. But I think this is resolved by now, which gives a clear focus of growing the business by winning users who get enough value to be willing to pay their share.
  12. On the web the only export works note by note. The only alternative to a desktop client is the GitHub project already mentioned. It can be installed on any device, even on computers not able to run a desktop client. You can install (if you know how) in a Docker on a server and run automated backups.
  13. Good luck to you. Just to correct a statement: The Web Clipper not long ago got a nice multiple selection tool that allows to clip only the sections from a site you need. Beside this the Web Clipper doesn’t get much attention in the forum. It seems most users are happy with it as it is.
  14. This is the Android forum. You can’t <ctrl - F> on mobile … Searching FOR a note is not the same as searching IN a note. For me in more than 9 out of 10 searches it is sufficient to find the right note. And when I open a note, I don’t need a search dialogue getting in my way. When I need the in-note search, and call it up, it will already be populated with the search-for-note string. Nothing lost here.
  15. A notebook doesn’t „exist“ as a note does. Think of a note a a website - each has it’s own URL, used for linking. A notebook is just an entry in a database table, and has no URL. A common way to link to a notebook is to create a note holding a TOC for a notebook. Link this note if you want to go to the notebook.
  16. … and export only works from an installed desktop client, not from the web client.
  17. I doubt this ever was possible on iOS (iPhone, iPad). You probably mean the desktop (Mac, PC) version. The screenshot tool of the menu bar helper makes a screenshot and saves it directly as a new note. You can annotate this note. I doubt there are plans to change this feature. Requests can be send here: feedback@evernote.com Hint: Tell them why you want the change by positively describing your use case. Your threat of canceling your subscription would make me send your input right to the round folder (as a fellow user I don’t take such decisions, but I find this stomping-my-feet-for-candy behavior utterly childish). BTW Your legacy install failed on the 23rd of march when the server access was cut. This was announced before and came as no surprise any more, 3 years after the clients were deprecated.
  18. You practically downloaded a new client. In the past the AppStore version has given all sorts of hiccups - we don’t promote it’s use. Probably the same would have happened with a fresh download of the direct install as well.
  19. Yes, they changed this. If you got an email as confirmation (without a ticket number) the ticket should be on it’s way. It will take probably a while until anything happens.
  20. To ask for changes of the GUI, send your request here: feedback@evernote.com Your chances of seeing them happen are way more faint than the divider line thickness.
  21. To my observation shift-Enter is not recognized since quite a while. And yes, I regard this as a bug as well.
  22. Just a few remarks, from a fellow user who is running his own little business: There is no necessity to actually use (=interact) with EN to be in a contractual relation. You had your data stored on their servers, they were maintained and safeguarded. The service was available at any moment for you. You received what you had booked - no matter if you actually thought about logging in to add information. If you don't need it any more, you can cancel your subscription at any time. And as with all subscriptions, it will then end at the final day of your subscription period. If you choose yearly to safe money compared to monthly, then it's 1 year. Actually you can cancel whenever in this year, and it will only run for the rest of the subscription. B2B services as Teams are usually not eligible for the same level of protection as consumer contracts. The assumption (wrong or right) is that anybody running a business knows what he is doing, and which contracts he is using for his business. You can (depending on the place of your business) refer to B2B business law and practices, but consumer law will in most jurisdictions not apply. E-Mails informing about price changes have been send in due course - I can tell because I received one of them as well. If you didn't receive it, check for what may have prevented it. Spam filters, not sufficient storage space, an email address registered for an employee no longer active are just a few possibilities. You will likely have a hard time to prove that the email with the price information was never received by your email server. That's a wrap up of what is the legal side. When interacting with support, make a word count. If the word "Please" is high up in the ranking, they may consider helping you. Because that is what you are asking for.
  23. It is working for me on an i7 MBP, a M1 mini and a M2 MBP. Not all the game, but a pretty good test environment to say: A problem is not related to the processor used for your Mac.
  24. None of you guys can have the same issue - 2 years and more than 50 releases later. Use the words that have been given to you by caring humans to describe what your problem may be. The we will use the words given to us by other caring humans to point at possibilities to solve the problem. If you don't I can only point you to what has already been said in this thread.
  25. Choose the notebook. Select export - export to HTML. All attachments will be in a folder, one level below the exported folder.
