The first part describes two nuisances - real productivity killers look different. Just ignore the additional options. The grey slash advise text can be turned off. The last sentence is unfounded and sounds like a supremely arrogant self victimization to me. If you want to make your opinion heard: feedback@evernote.com

„People“ - who is that. ? A forum is no place where people go just to tell everything is great. If you have access to valid account data (like retention on renewal or new users signing in) you know what’s going on. From a few users coming to a forum you don’t. Forget about a cheap plan - the users who are still on a grandfathered subscription are currently asked to decide between Personal and Free. Exactly the price level you are proposing is actively shut down.

Not likely looking at the thread. Outages are rare with EN servers (there was one last year when a major server change was done). It is usually a network issue, either locally (firewall, managed corporate networks) or from the ISP (DNS resolving glitch). Checking what is going on should always check different networking options first. In some cases they can’t be resolved - especially enterprises get tougher on security, locking up the corporate networks. Leaving them open can come very costly these days …

Even More Changes to Evernote
PinkElephant replied to Dave Edwards's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Some changes are in a blind test - a fraction of users are selected at random and exposed to the new UI. If all users get it will be decided based on their feedback. -
The easiest answer to that question is that a desktop has much more screen real estate than a mobile device. Simply shrinking it is usually not the best answer.

Thanks for posting - or better repeating what I already said. AI crunching stuff together, like summarizing and change tone ?

This is an iOS issue. Once the lockscreen kicks in, background tasks are cut after a minute or so. Since the changed database structure takes time to reorganize, keeping the iPad alive was the logical approach. It worked. If I like it or not was not the question. On more recent hardware it was not necessary. Remember that both the OP and myself used a 10 year old iPad Air 2 - the oldest iOS hardware still certified to run EN v10.

Switch off silly suggestions (AI edit, / commands)?

Not yet, although there have been several posts in this direction. As always: feedback@evernote.com -
Please avoid posting the same information twice.

Please make the linux-beta available again
PinkElephant replied to madsbechmadsen's question in Evernote Teams Requests
It is gone, no matter what the intern forgot to erase on a website. You know this very well, you already posted this screenshot. Spreading this sort of (mis) information does no good to those seeking help here. -
Please make the linux-beta available again
PinkElephant replied to madsbechmadsen's question in Evernote Teams Requests
The Linux app reflects a release state that is not able to sync with the server anymore. Even if you could download it, it would not connect to the server. Development has been completely stoped. On Linux you can use the web client only. -

Failed to Export Notes
PinkElephant replied to Lion3's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
It should identify the note - which it doesn’t. Probably you could contact support, with an activity log. However support currently is not a positive experience in many cases. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new You could try to exchange the local database by a fresh copy, that hopefully is not corrupted. Or you try to install the Evernote Backup project from GitHub, and export right from the server. https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup -
@Shafique you could have used less words to conclude we need to know the version number of @JCD s client. Without it is plain speculation, Beside this installs can go wrong. In such a case it is usually better to run a complete uninstall (PC: Revo Uninstaller, Mac: AppCleaner) instead of trying to tinker the bad install to work somehow.

Anybody who looks up what you posted as (marked as such) can see it is highly damaging to a vivid exchange between users. That‘s what this forum is about: Users. An AI by definition is no user, and posting what it utters is always hearsay, garnished with usually more words than necessary. That’s what I call AI vomit 🤮

Currently no devices running these chips are available on the market or for benchmarks. There were only a few showpieces demonstrated under controlled conditions. Up to now Qualcom has botched all attempts at PC grade hardware. Maybe now after "stealing" a bunch of ex Apple engineers they will do better ...

We are talking a Mac upgrade here. Why would anybody want to downgrade to a Windows on ARM system not even yet available. @xerox currently there are 2 strategies: Get a M2, maybe refurb, and save a buck. Or get a M3, where not much refurb is available yet, and will cost some more, but has the latest technology. The main difference between the two is that the M3 supports hardware raytracing in the GPU. If you expect to need the extra performance (like for future Mac Tripple-A games), go for a M3. Else the M2 is as good as it gets. My main mobile solution is a MacBook Pro 14“ M2 Max 32/1TB. It’s a beast hiding in a sleek 14“ form factor.
