  1. Enml documentation at https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/enml.php I agree with "sort of html" On a Mac with Evernote Legacy; each note has a content.enml file that can be edited with a text editor
  2. I'm running with a cancelled Premium account that auto-upgraded to Personal I got the same message trying to upgrade to Professional Please let us know what you hear from Support
  3. Where's the "infusion of money" coming from? My understanding is subscription rates are unchanged for existing users Of course, those upgrading account tiers will be paying higher rates That's more a revenue/expenses thing (I'm not upgrading my account tier)
  4. Apple Notes are convenient I use the share menu to send the note to Evernote
  5. I use the Evernote Legacy product; there's no limit on selected notes
  6. I tested the upgrade process and I'm also locked out of upgrade to Professional Your subscription is currently canceled and your account is not eligible for upgrade at this time. Please contact customer support if you require assistance. My subscription is currently active (Personal tier) but automatic renewal is cancelled I have not followed up with Support
  7. Can you turn your device landscape Your name will then be at the top right corner
  8. Click the caret to the right of your name at the upper left corner
  9. Five tiers; Free, *Plus, *Premium, Personal, Professional *Plus and *Premium are legacy and not available for new accounts >>users who will subscribe to Professional - Please do ! I am sure you would do as you have been advocating for Evernote I'll pass The features aren't that important to me, and are not available in the Evernote Legacy product
  10. My solution is to append the metadata to the note contents I'm using the Evernote Legacy product, and this is generated with applescript on my Mac I can also use applescript to extract the notebook/tag structure info
  11. If there's no "new features" does it matter which tier I purchase My impression is there's new features in the Professional tier that users want access to I also see new features in the Personal tier
  12. Solid instructions Go to the Evernote Login page at https://www.evernote.com/Login.action Enter userid Enter password Click on Sign In
  13. The 'tell" is directed to the desktop Evernote (Legacy) app, and will activate on the desktop >>The script below looks like it should be used with Evernote Legacy, in which case, how would I complete "using application"? ... tell application "Finder" to open file ... using application Any application can be used to open a file; it works with both Legacy and Version10 using application "Evernote" or using application "EvernoteLegacy"
  14. Evernote's handwriting recognition process (ICR) delivers a list of possibilities, along with a ranking Useful for search, but not to "pull that text into ascii form" >>For real handwriting recognition and "word processing" by handwriting, I use the Nebo app. I use the Notability app; stored in Evernote in pdf format
  15. Which "hard line" approach? Evernote has always had account tiers with feature/limit restrictions; this doesn't bother me Bottom tier is Free/Basic mid tiers are Plus*, Premium*, Personal**, Professional** Top tier is Teams/Business *Legacy tiers, not available to new accounts **New tiers New is the 2 product lines: this bothers me Legacy; no feature upgrades Version 10; a public work-in-progress
  16. Only because they both are account tiers with features not supported in the Personal tier
  17. Spaces are a replacement for Stacks, and can include both Notebooks and Notes Notes can be pinned Spaces can be shared with other users >>Premium accounts did not receive AND NEED updates to features that were restricted to the Business tier Personal accounts will not receive OR NEED updates to features restricted to the Professional/Teams tiers
  18. One feature I'm interested in is Spaces
  19. Premium accounts did not receive updates to features that were restricted to the Business tier
  20. I'm not seeing this, except for the Legacy product I fully expect to receive future upgrades for the v10 product for all account tiers Of course each account tier has a defined set of features; details here Compare-Evernote-subscription-plans
  21. There's only a single Personal account tier and it includes a defined set of features For full plan comparison, see Compare-Evernote-subscription-plans
  22. That would be the search function Child-Tags should be do-able; Evernote does have this option in the Legacy Windows product My solution is to use a wildcard search, for example tag:!Budget* but it requires that tag names reflect the hierarchy
  23. Not really a "duplicate" function I run weekly data backups using the export feature; a separate export for each notebook
  24. I"m not sure what that means; "excludes instead of includes" There is most definitely a tag hierarchy; in the database and rendered in the client UI
  25. I was never at the Teams/Business tier; just the Premium tier I'm disappointed at not being grandfather'd to the Professional tier, but won't be upgrading
