  1. I can edit HTML. In Evernote, we edit notes formatted in ENML, an HTML fork
  2. Yes, and I'll check into the conversion app; it could be useful. My experience with conversions is that some formatting stuff gets messed up. I prefer to stick with the same format. >>using both the PC and the mobile I use a Mac and iPad. Mac/Windows handle attachments editing very well; almost transparent to the users. IOS really sucks at editing attachment files.
  3. I suggest you post this as a separate request. It's got my vote. I'm currently using a script on my Mac. I often create task notes from meeting minutes.
  4. No, styles are not supported by the Evernote editor. You're welcome to add your vote for this request. Voting buttons are at the top left corner of the discussion. For now, I'm using the Evertool app.
  5. Your publisher will specify the format options. Evernote only supports html and enex export. You can also print-to-pdf. If your editor specifies Word format; I suggest you use the MS Word editor. The document will be stored in an Evernote note as a file attachment. I use different formats for my WIP. Word/Pages for documents, Excel/Numbers for spreadsheets, ...
  6. Good to see you worked it out. My feeling is it's better to has smaller notes; less scope for editing mishaps. You also might check out automatic updates to your ToC notes. This is supported by third party Filterize; I use scripting (Mac)
  7. I'm able to extend my word processing documents using apps like Word/Pages on the iPad and Mac. I'm able to extend my spreadsheets using Excel/Numbers on the iPad and Mac. ... These are stored in Notes as file attachments
  8. Note contents can include files of any format. Use any editor that meets your requirements and store the files in Evernote. I do this with various editors; including text editor apps.
  9. I'm using MacFamily Tree to store my geology data; tree, images, year of birth/death, images, stories, sources I'm not using Evernote for any of this data. I only create a task note if there's followup required. I like the idea of storing the data in Evernote, but haven't figured a way to keep the two platforms in sync
  10. I leave Create Date as the date the note was created. On my Mac, I store "Original Document date" in the Subject Date field; using a script. Since Evernote makes accessing this field so difficult, I store a copy in the Note Title (prefix). I also append a copy of the metadata to the note contents. This was also discussed here
  11. Stacks aren't an entity, just a notebook grouping; you should join the notebook hierarchy discussion. In the meantime, Tags have an unlimited hierarchy.
  12. Are you coding in HTML Evernote stores note data in enml format, which is html based. I prefer to store my code snippets in text file attachments.
  13. A sort/save option has been added, but only on the Windows platform
  14. The request discussion for "manual sorting" is Here Currently, Evernote only supports "manual sorting" in the Shortcuts and Reminders section. My work-around for "manual sorting" is to prefix the title with a special character. For example "-Project Master Note" sorts at the top in title sequence
  15. I'm moving this discussion to the Mac forum There are two types of windows in Evernote; Note List and Note You posted a screenshot of a note list window, with three note list tabs The tabs show the note list descriptions Here's a screenshot of the note window with three note tabs You'll notice in the note window, the note titles are displayed
  16. The master version of your data is stored on the Evernote servers. You can verify your data is ok using the web platform at www.evernote.com Confirm your data is ok, and then we can advise on fixing your device problem
  17. I posted an actual table, generated by the Evernote editor. I used my Mac to copy the code from the content.enml file
  18. Here's a sample of Evernote's enml code for this sample table edit: an actual table, generated by the Evernote editor. <!DOCTYPE en-note SYSTEM "http://xml.evernote.com/pub/enml2.dtd"><en-note><div><div><br /></div><table style="border-collapse: collapse; min-width: 100%;"><colgroup><col style="width: 205px;" /><col style="width: 89px;" /><col style="width: 232px;" /><col style="width: 130px;" /></colgroup><tbody><tr><td style="width: 205px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div>a</div></td><td style="width: 89px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div>b</div></td><td style="width: 232px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div>c</div></td><td style="width: 130px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div>d</div></td></tr><tr><td style="width: 205px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 89px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 232px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 130px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td></tr><tr><td style="width: 205px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 89px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 232px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 130px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td></tr><tr><td style="width: 205px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 89px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 232px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 130px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td></tr><tr><td style="width: 205px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 89px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 232px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 130px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td></tr><tr><td style="width: 205px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 89px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 232px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td><td style="width: 130px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid;"><div><br /></div></td></tr></tbody></table><div><br /></div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></en-note>
  19. Can you post a screenshot of this issue? I'm not seeing it on my Mac
  20. The screenshot is a ToC note showing my daily jounal notes It's just a list of links to notes I can manually add entries one by one Using my Mac, I can generate the entire list with a few clicks ---------------- Following up on @gazumped's date created search, my note list would be as shown below. Still in the wrong sequence, but less notes to scroll through
  21. Welcome to the forums. Keep at it; there are a few other problem areas to discover and post about. 🙂
  22. Additional sort options would be useful. I added my vote to the request. In the meantime, how about a table of contents note. You can control that sort sequence. Also, it gets rid of the clutter to only show the important stuff.
  23. Can you share th version you're using I'm using MacOS 10.14.2 (Mojave) Version Version 7.10 Beta 1 (457647 Direct) I right-click on the pdf > Open With > Preview Rotate Pages Save The pdf in Evernote is updated automatically
  24. Is this an Evernote question? On a Mac, I would open the pdf in the Preview app and rotate pages No problem with "save a copy somewhere" - not with current Evernote versions
  25. Thanks for the screenshot - I didn't know what the Kanban board view looked like The standard Evernote view is a single note list. On my Mac, I can have multiple note lists in tabs. Another option is a "dashboard note" that shows notes in various lists. Third party Filterize will keep these lists updated. I use scripting on a Mac. The screenshot is an example, and shows a note with my 6 task/project lists. edit: The discussion for the Kanbanote product is here
