  1. There is a request posted at the top of the discussion. You can indicate your support using the voting buttons at the top left corner of the discussion,
  2. What would be a "satisfactory manner" We could dig up the smaller of the larger explanation
  3. I've seen no reports that Evernote is no longer "cash flow positive" My guess is there's limited funding for development and work has to be prioritzed.
  4. If it's working for you, that's great. I do use the Evernote editor for basic notes. For more serious work, I need extended features like printing; I use dedicated editors
  5. There's not a one note limit. The merge notes are selected from the "preview", the note list. If the notes are not available, they are downloaded from the server.
  6. This would not be my choice for the editor app. The document would be filed in Evernote, but I'd be using Word/Pages.
  7. Any reason for an offline notebook restriction? The notes will be merged on the device and a new note created. The old notes will be moved to trash. All changes will be sync'd to the server.
  8. Do you not have device security? My local disc is encrypted (Mac FileVault); also screen timeout.
  9. Your Evernote data is protected by your account password; log out of your account.
  10. No updates, and I'm still using tables to add layout to my notes. In fact, table formatting has improved; cells can be merged.
  11. I use Mac Applescript The cool part is how it integrates with the different apps. For example, Applescript by itself knows nothing about Evernote features. We use the code tell application "Evernote" to ...... and Evernote does the heavy lifting.
  12. This seems like a good use for tags. I actually have author tags. fyi - maximum # of tags is 100,000 And I implemented internal tags and new field ($) The screenshot is a receipt and I need to track the cost for separate items. I use scripting on a Mac to insert the tags, and extract/merge the detail >>simply ranking them, or subdividing into genres, or time periods, or some other subcategorization to then rank Sorting is problematic. I have extracted data to a spreadsheet so I could sort it. I also use saved searches to categorize by tag. For example my task list uses tag:Important and tag:Urgent (Eisenhower Matrix) >>I can select and edit some of those fields (date edited, author), but not all all (subject) - which is very surprising, since I wouldn't think you actually want to edit the "date edited" field (as a system property), but likely WOULD want to edit "subject". I actually do edit the Subject Date field on my Mac using my process-inbox script It seemed to be the logical place to store the subject date
  13. Filterize is a great service, with various automation features. If you're using a Mac, you can accomplish the same reminder reset with scripting (Applescript)
  14. This is actually a sequence option on Macs. There's no documentation as to the algorithm behind the sequence
  15. It's a beta version, not meant for release to the masses.
  16. Mac's have import folders; but it's OS based, not application based. It's a little extra setup, but much more flexible than the import folders in Evernote/Windows.
  17. Notes store location coordinates, but mapping is not an Evernote feature Third party IdeaPlaces is available for IOS Using location data, IdeaPlaces transforms each note into a visual point on a map which are then automatically named with the help of Foursquare. In an instant, you have a new way to search and find notes. With a visual experience created around this new context, you can now explore your notes based on where and when they took place. Finding new use cases for Evernote, or even finding a first one, has never been easier. Attach a location-based reminder to your notes to help integrate Evernote into your daily life! IdeaPlaces provides one of the fastest and most robust ways to create a new note in Evernote. Whenever you take a note, from any screen in the app, the context of your current location is automatically added to the note. Along with the ability to create notebooks and tags during the note creation process, you can use your contact book to easily share notes by SMS or email.
  18. Merged with the other Pin Notes request
  19. The default notebook restriction applies to all platforms; it has to be a cloud notebook. When I scan documents, I file them to an import folder. I have control as to which notebook they get imported to. create note from file bbbbbbbbb notebook "aaaaaaaaa"
  20. It's command-shift-D on Mac and IOS (iPad/iPhone/iPod)
  21. No problem with copy/paste Make sure you select the entire table, not just cells You could even include the line before and after the table.
  22. I just tried copying a generic table. It replicated exactly. Can you identify the template and table you're copying. Maybe post a screenshot.
