  1. I should have added that there are regional specific terms relating to privacy. These include California and Europe. For Europe it says: For the full text see: https://evernote.com/privacy/regional dated 1 January 2024
  2. If you are concerned about these changes you should consult a lawyer who specialises in contracts and privacy. It might be cheaper to find a service which offers you something you are at ease with.
  3. Thank you. Tell us more and the users here might have a better idea of the issue and how-to resolve it.
  4. Sorry, is this supposed to be a question?
  5. This is the way Evernote works. It isn't possible to stop auto updates. Evernote staff have a clear STAFF label. Otherwise we're all other users.
  6. Thank you for standing up to this. Much appreciated. I can commend the evernote-backup application from Github. I have it set to back up automatically every week. It requires a modest amount of configuration but the instructions are OK.
  7. Things are as they are. You could try asking Evernote support for an explanation but I'm not sure anything useful would emerge. I suspect that other utilities have done the work necessary or were clipping by a different process. But that really is conjecture on my part. We know the Microsoft made a change in Windows 11 which caused the issue and that nothing has been done subsequently to change things for Evernote. To be honest the use of the Windows screen clipper process - Win+Shift+S - works just as well as the previous process within Evernote. Especially if you set c:\Users\YourWindowsUserID\Pictures\Screenshot tro be an Import Folder in Evernote. When I clip with this set up it is exactly as the old Evernote process except for different keystrokes. The newer suggestion from @Paddytc has the advantage that it only directs clips intended for Evernote but it does have a couple of additional mouse clicks.
  8. Sorry. I'm not able to assist you and neither are any of the users in these forums. If you want to get assistance from, or complain to, Evernote directly then you'll need to open a support ticket. If it helps, I got an app update today to version 10.67.0 and I just checked and the Note tab sorts just as I would have expected.
  9. For some reason the export process does not create the correct links to the attachments. This is known issue. They are all located in the relevant download folders. I think the only solution is to manually edit the HTML files and fix the broken links for the downloads.
  10. No. It was present until Microsoft issued a Windows 11 update and then the Evernote clipper was trapped by Windows. It is possible, I suppose, that Evernote might be able to do something to work around the Windows issue but it was originally caused by Microsoft.
  11. The problem, for Evernote, is that Microsoft changed the ways its own screen clipping process works. It means that when you choose the Evernote shortcut (Alt+Ctrl+S) this is trapped by Windows and launches the OS screen clip. The workarounds either use the OS shortcut, Win+Shift+S and the various pasting into a note or saving in an import folder, or this newly identified option of using the Evernote shortcut and then clicking on the stages suggested a post or two above. This latter seems to be way things work now.
  12. The only issue you've described is the poor responses to some other issue. I fear nobody here can help you. Is there something you are hoping for from us in the forums?
  13. We had another user who required the same thing. @mackid1993 might be able to share his ultimately successful experience. I think he had to address this with the support folk. When signing up for the Teams account you'd need to get that addressed.
  14. @Vainpyre From the screen shots you provide it looks like you have two notebooks. That also exceeds the Free account limits. So if what I see is correct that is likely to be the cause of the issue you face. Delete the empty notebook and you should find things work OK within the Free account limits.
  15. I'm not sure I can suggest a solution but will observe that shared notes will not count to the 50 note limit that your colleague/friend had on her Free account. I may be wrong but I have a vague recollection that the sharing abilities are delayed on a new account. So perhaps wait a day or two. Someone else may come along soon with better insight
  16. First of all. Check that the linked Email address is still yours. Then change your password and apply two-factor authentication. You might also change your Email password since unauthorized access to your Email could be a way to regain the account. Once you have secured your account you can set about restoring the 777 deleted notes. You can do this 100 notes at a time. So eight groups of 100 or 77 notes. Not too onerous. More demanding will be refiling then to whichever notebook they originally came from.
  17. You can only have 50 notes so you would need to delete 10 notes from Trash to unlock your account. If they are in Trash then it is unlikely you need them when you only have a 50 notes limit. Just empty the Trash and also be sure that you have just one notebook. Then all should be good.
  18. How many notebooks do you have? Do you have any notes in Trash? Notes in Trash count against the 50 note limit - so empty trash. Also if you have more than one notebook then the limits kick in. If this is the case export the excess notebooks (other than your default notebook) as an ENEX file. Delete all except your default notebook. The reimport the exported notes back into your now remaining notebook. That should resolve things for your you.
  19. Note History is a paid service using dekstop apps or web view. You could subscribe for one month to recover content that you accidentally deleted and then unsubscribe before the end of that month. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313858-Use-note-history-to-view-older-versions-of-a-note
  20. The user concerned appears to be promoting his own business in a number of threads.
  21. Not intended to be sarcastic. Trying to think of a practical way of getting support to this person's users. Getting everyone to chip in a small amount seemed practical. Glad you were able to reach support.
  22. If you have hundreds of users with the issue get them all to chip in 50 cents. It would cover a month's support.
  23. This can only be done in the way you describe with an external program.
