  1. gazumped's post in Exporting Evernote notes as PDFs was marked as the answer
Don't forget also that it's possible to:
print notes to PDF - up to 50 at a time in v10;  more in Legacy,  and  export attachments from selected notes (with the same version limits) in their original file format publish notebooks as a private blog with freemium http://postach.io/ (password protecting the blog is available as a paid feature) -I appreciate the last isn't exactly what was asked for,  but it is a way to view the contents of a notebook easily without having to open the Evernote app - and the content is fully searchable via internal tags and links.
  2. gazumped's post in Opening links in Evernote app was marked as the answer
Doesn't it depend on how the note was shared?  If the link is simply a public link it will open in a browser window with a pop-up option to add it to your own database.  If you have a pop-up blocker that might prevent the display...
@Spider221 - Can you ask the owner of the note to email it to you?
  3. gazumped's post in unable to sync was marked as the answer
    Hi.
Make sure you're logged into the correct account.
If that's not the issue,  try uninstall / restart / reinstalling the app.
  4. gazumped's post in Update from 10.39.6 fails since uninstall not possible was marked as the answer
Hi. Are you letting the installation software run through the uninstall process,  or have you tried to uninstall 10.39 using your standard OS app?  Try again with Revo Uninstaller Free,  but if it can't find the original installation,  try re-installing 10.39 first and then uninstalling it 'officially'.  Remove everything if you can and then download the current version from Evernote.com and start over.  Good luck with all of that...
  5. gazumped's post in There's no way for me to get a verification code and change my forgotten password. was marked as the answer
Hi.  I assume you're not a Teams user,  though that's the thread that you posted in..  and it might be useful if you quoted the email contents - we may be able to help better.
Buying a subscription isn't required,  but if you can subscribe for a month or two it would solve your problems a lot more quickly - and you have - apparently - been using the service for free for at least 12 years,  so have something like a potential 8GB+ of online storage where your notes are awaiting your attention...
If you have a ticket number from the last email you received,  try responding to that to ask for more help.  If you don't have a ticket number,  make a correct request for help from https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - use the 'continue as a guest' option.
  6. gazumped's post in Drag and Drop files OUT of EN was marked as the answer
Hi.  Evernote already allows drag and drop,  though thanks to Windows clipboard you might have to drag to your desktop first,  then drag from there into another app...

  8. gazumped's post in Detail in Dark Mode / Windows was marked as the answer
Hi. This used to be an issue in Windows 10 too apparently...

  9. gazumped's post in Email into Evernote was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you are a subscriber,  I'd suggest you send the email - Save emails into Evernote  If you're a free user,  then copy and paste or sharing the email might work
  10. gazumped's post in How to see sync status in Web version ? was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you haven't already logged out anyway,  can you check your account on another device to see if the sync has completed?  It shouldn't take long with a normal network connection,.  though if you moved a lot of files there could be lots of housekeeping to take care of.
  11. gazumped's post in Unable to access "Help and Learning" despite having a Personal subscription was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you can get back to the Help & Learning login page you should also see an option to 'continue as guest' - try that!
  12. gazumped's post in Viewing EN Note Sizes (MB) to Enable Identification of Large Notes was marked as the answer
If you have access to your account on desktop there are a few more tricks available - look at the Side List view,  and right click the 'Title...' menu bar.  There's a drop-down list of options you might enjoy...

  13. gazumped's post in Prepend date to all notes that already exist possible? was marked as the answer
An external Freemium app - Filterize - will edit titles and (I think) will do what you want.  It only works on newly created or edited notes,  so you might have to bulk add a tag or something  to switch it on.  Not sure if this is available as part of the 'free' service,  but it may be worth a look...

  14. gazumped's post in Import Folders: Kept files in Evernote Database? was marked as the answer
Hi.  You're correct that the files are incorporated into the database,  and the folder holding the originals is just redundant space.  It's also a potential hazard in that if you change a file in that folder,  it will NOT change the imported file.  Best to delete the files once imported.  Evernote were planning to improve the process to make such deletions automatic,  but obviously didn't get around to it yet.
  15. gazumped's post in Suche nach Notizen von Heute / Search for Notes from Today was marked as the answer
Actually a created:day-x search will show all notes with a created date after that time.  I have a few notes that show created dates in the future so I get a full set.  To search for one specific period,  use two dates - for example created:day-9 -created:day-7

  16. gazumped's post in Oops, we encountered an error. was marked as the answer
Actually I believe the subscription is meant to cover things like software and storage and web access - but I agree,  access to Support is also good.  As (apparently) a Teams user,  you should have an in-house manager for your account,  who will have access to the business support unit.  If you're dealing with your individual personal account then you should be able to see a 'continue as a guest' option as well as the log-in link.
Whilst I appreciate you were looking for the 'official' support team,  we can often be a good second option - can you give us some details of *why* you were so keen to get in touch?
  17. gazumped's post in Evernote is not recognizing that I have unsynced a device was marked as the answer
Hi.  Shortest and simplest answer - subscribe on a monthly basis and sort out your devices,  then downgrade again.  Instant access to your account,  and to Support if you have issues.  Alternatively - try Support direct;  access as 'guest' if you need to via Evernote.com in a browser.  Check the help page to make sure you're unlinking devices correctly.  Understanding the device limit
  18. gazumped's post in Is it all gone? was marked as the answer
Hi.  It seems unlikely that you could have been using Evernote for 34 months+ without syncing once.  If you ever looked at your notes on a different device,  you would surely have noticed that some data was missing.  You haven't mentioned which versions of Evernote you've been using,  but it was within the last couple of years that Evernote transitioned to v10,  and in some circumstances,  notes created in one version may not be visible in the other version.  It's also possible that you have two accounts and are currently looking at the wrong one...  main recommendation would be:  contact Support (which isn't us) if you're a subscriber.  If you're not a subscriber and these notes are important,  it may be worthwhile to become a subscriber - even if only for a couple of months - to get access.
While you wait for a reaction from them,  log out of your account,  and then very carefully log back in with whatever user ID you believe is your correct one.  Give it a while - 30 minutes or so - before you start browsing for notes so that the new installation can get your new phone up to speed.
  19. gazumped's post in Sequential Moves was marked as the answer
Hi.  I'm not a Mac user,  so others might have better suggestions - but here are some comments that might (or might not) be helpful.
Selecting more than 50 notes at once can be problematic: it's possible,  but a nuisance to get around that up to (I believe) about 400 - but the limit exists. Mac scripting is (currently) disabled and I don't think many automation apps have the ability to move notes within Evernote.  You can add stuff,  but not change it. Installing the Legacy app gets around both the above - you can use scripting and select as many notes as you wish. Alternatively.  One external app I use a lot - https://filterize.net/ - can apply various tests to notes as they sync - as in: "If this note has the tag <xLIndburg>,  move it to the <Ransome> notebook and remove the tag".  They have a 30-day free trial,  which might be about what you need... On which basis I'd say tagging is the way to go - get Filterize set up,  and every time you want to re-home a note,  just tag it with a unique version of the notebook name -"xLIndburg" in the example above - to avoid confusion with that word if it's used as a tag elsewhere...
    Hope that helps!

  21. gazumped's post in Struggling with Offline Notebooks on Mobile Devices was marked as the answer
I think the moral of the story is:  if you're having hassles with this (or any other) feature - feed it back to Evernote by any means possible (like commenting here) and if you can - raise a support ticket and let the team look at your logs so they have more information about what is going wrong,  and hence a better chance to fix it...

  22. gazumped's post in Phantom 2FA messages was marked as the answer
Hi.  With around 220M users,  the chances are that someone with a similar name to you is just getting their user details wrong.  2FA is at least proving its worth!
You can check whether any unauthorised devices have ever succeeded in connecting here:  https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action and you can verify what apps have access here: https://www.evernote.com/AuthorizedServices.action.  It is possible that your user details have been hacked from another website and this is evidence that the black hats are checking around to see what else of yours they might be able to access.
You can confirm whether your details are secure here...

  23. gazumped's post in Cannot Unshare some Notebooks was marked as the answer
Hi.  Worst case - if you shared a notebook and cannot unshare it,  move all the notes from that notebook into a new location and delete the original.
  24. gazumped's post in Can I change the Created Date (version 10.30.6) was marked as the answer
Evernote is correct that you no longer get support on the old apps,  but it seems like a sneaky way to get you to update - I'm still using the old Windows version 6.25.1 and syncing (AFAIK) without issues.
To answer your question,  I don't think it's (yet) possible to change the created date in v10.
Your answer may be to go back to Legacy...  https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  25. gazumped's post in How Do I Backdate A Note (Evernote Web)? Current Evernote Web Doesn't Go Back Before 2014 was marked as the answer
Hi.  I've written something on this in the forums before.  I basically disagree with changing the created date or the updated date of notes because they're system-assigned variables that require quite a bit of clicking and tapping (if you're doing the operation frequently) to change;  you almost certainly won't be able to do it consistently on all notes,  and you can't (yet) script anything to help across all versions.
I use an international standard date as a prefix to my note title in YYYYMMDD format because when I sort any search results in title order, that provides an accurate timeline.  I can even have some assistance from Filterize,  which is an app that can recognise various date formats in the body of notes,  and - if necessary - add title prefixes automatically.  Filterize is an online service that is still compatible with Evernote's servers so should continue to be available through further generations of the app.
I also have notes going back a long way - the earliest document is in the 1700's (I do genealogy) - but have no trouble with dates.  I use several versions of Evernote but haven't found any issues yet...
