What is it that you're wanting to do? If you watch videos you presumably use specialised software for that - what's the difference in using email software to send emails? Evernote does a number of things really well. It can send emails too - if you really want it to...

You guys might want to look into Transpose.com as a potential template source, though there's no mobile version that I'm aware of - yet..

As far as I can remember, tagging or untagging a note doesn't affect the updated date; and repeating reminders aren't an option in Evernote, though they do pop up (literally!) in other applications. I can imagine that you might be able to set yourself a schedule so all items manually tagged SR1 (or tagged SR and created on a specific date) would pop up through a saved search at regular intervals - just set up a repeating reminder to run that search every three days. When it does run you could also change the reminder to 7 days, then 14 (or whatever intervals drive your SR schedule...). Any of the To-do apps, Swipes/ TickTick/ Azendoo etc should give you the repeats and allow easy edits. Saved searches can give you the relevant note(s). That does rely on your tagging the note correctly in the first place, but it might be manageable...at least until some enterprising developer comes up with a practical SR+Evernote application.

Yup - I live in the UK too. Don't know what the current situation with Android might be, but if you check the threads I'd think Evernote will be keen to allow the database to be moved when they can find a way to do so without compromising normal operations. I now have a Note 4 with 32GB of mostly empty storage which 'could' hold my database if only I could find a way to move it that didn't involve rooting. The feature must be on a to-do list somewhere, it's only a question of when (and if) it fits in with ongoing plans... I don't think any other note-taking apps (ie ON and Keep) have an SD option either.

Hmmn. Just gone over 20,000 notes with no major issues.. and yes, I sometimes forget what I saved a year or two ago. My concern though is to have as much information at hand as possible to deal with a current query. I do searches (having fixed some time ago on long informative titles for notes) which usually find what I need. Sometimes I have additional surprises...

Hi. No settings that I'm aware of - a first-time share should generate an email, even if it is to a non-evernote address; the recipient would be able to add it to his existing account if that were the case. The only thing I can think of is that a 'wild' spam filter ate your email before it could be received. If your son has another email address you could try again...

Hi. It's already possible to encrypt and decrypt PDF files with a (usually paid-for) PDF editor, annotate the content and re-encrypt back into an Evernote attachment. Don't see the incentive for Evernote to allocate resources into reinventing that particular wheel.

If you sort the notes by created date, things should -literally- fall into place...

@mcheng - good call on removing the original email, but you may want to look at the forum settings too - along with a dozen or so others I 'follow' this forum and receive emails with the full text of original posts, so have all of the email addresses available. I'll (obviously) delete it, but maybe a warning to new posters about including personal details would be a good idea?

I agree to a point - I think it's better to have a specific plan and stick to it rather than being jerked this way and that with calls from users to 'edit images' 'embed videos' 'calendars' 'to-do lists', but sometimes, you do wonder where Evernote gets its inspirations from...

Evernote very rarely comment on feature requests - possibly on the basis that if they spend their time justifying where things sit in their priority list, or explaining why they don't have something there yet, they'll have even less time to actually fix and develop things.

I'm not annoyed, just amused that anyone expected a free ride with no advertising.

"Simple text hosting" still costs money, and since you're not even prepared to use a free tool if it tries to encourage you to pay for more features, I wonder how many options you'll find.

Sorry I missed that you stated Win 7 in your first post. If your colleague has permissions set to edit notes in that notebook, ask her to add something -a word or two- to a note in that notebook and then sync. See whether you can see her comment, and if that triggers the missing note to appear. It's strange that only one person has one missing note...

Hi. You say this is a shared note - how many people have access to it, and are they all using their own copy of on different workstations? How many copies of the note do you have open when you're editing? Just the web, or just the PC? Or both at the same time? Basically this sounds like a sync error - your updated version of the note is getting overwritten by another -older- copy of the same note after you save your changes. If you're a premium subscriber you may even find your updates in the note history, or in a 'conflicting changes' notebook you didn't know you had. Are you using a Windows system, or Mac?
