  1. Thanks! Interesting... downloading now... disconcerting that the first screen is 'Tap Now to Upgrade!' with a couple of links to other apps... tapping anyway.. Oh - now I get 'set up an alert' options... which I did and then it crashed. Not a very transparent piece of software, and it remains to be seen if anything happens when I get near the test target I set up... Any other options, let us know!
  2. Much requested (although not recently that I recall) but not (yet) available - maybe now the guys have got rid of all that annoying new account level stuff they'll start adding some bells and whistles to the Reminder system...
  3. Hi. Sorry this topic seemed to get forgotten in the general traffic on the forums. As to the OP's question on 'what does plain text do?' - that would be exactly what it says on the can. Content gets converted to plain text - no bold, italic or large text. Try it out on some test text to see the full effect. As to the buggy RTL situation, check that you're up to date with the latest version of Evernote (downloaded from Evernote.com) and of the problem still exists I suggest you submit a bug report on this. You won't get any follow-up, but it does mean that the devs will take a look at your situation and (hopefully) fix it in a future release... submit a bug/ lost data report by choosing "report a bug..." in the first dropdown after logging in here> https://www.evernote.com/SupportLogin.action Premium / Business users also have access to a Chat option (7am-7pm PST weekdays) - click 'continue' on the support page after logging in.
  4. "Initial release, basic functionality, text is blurry and Icon is subpar." ??
  5. The created date is how Evernote keeps track of one note order so it's not possible to delete it, and the display on mobile devices is pretty much none-negotiable. Short answer; I don't believe so. Could you give us a screen shot to illustrate why this is a pain? The devs do read these threads, so consider this a feature request made (magic words to attract attention...).
  6. Hi. If you go through the sharing process for your note or notebook as though you were about to share it again, you should see a list of email addresses of the individuals with whom you've shared it. If you emailed the note URL to others, then Evernote doesn't have any record of who might have received it, or to whom those individuals might have passed it on, so you'd have to rely on your email records for the information. If you shared a Public link then any search could find the page, so unless you have some way outside of Evernote to track visitors, there's no way to know who has seen the content. And. If you move a shared note from it's shared-in notebook to one of your own, then you have an independent 'snapshot' copy of the original which will not be updated, even if the original is. It's no longer shared, unless you move it to a shared notebook of your own. NB that could also happen with your own shared notebooks, so if you share out, your sharees could share on to others...
  7. So. Much later... I installed the extra apps, and opened a PDF to Edit. Automatically opened in Skitch. Checked Skitch defaults, they're not selected. Annotate/ Edit in Evernote goes directly to Skitch without passing Go. View gives me the option of 8 editors now, including Skitch. Chose Foxit (just once) and got Foxit, but purely in Edit mode. Tried for a couple of other editors and had the same - although they do have editing options, they're greyed out when the file is opened for view only. Annotation / editing now seems tied purely to Skitch. As a feature request it would be nice if the devs could look at allowing other apps access....
  8. Hmmn. Sorry that was a wild goose chase. I'll add your apps to my Android and see what happens. (More later....)
  9. Hi. I think this is more an Android question that Evernote. If you check your apps via Application Manager and look for the Launch by Default button - do Skitch / Kingsoft have that option set for PDF files? If so, de-select it. If that's not the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling one of the additional apps to see if it will then appear in your list.
  10. It sounds easier to set up a work-around for confidential notes than it would be for Evernote to reschedule their pre-planned development for the next x months to get this fix out there - if they've even decided it would be cost-effective to do anything at all...
  11. It'd annoy the spit out of me every time I checked my shopping list though..
  12. Happy to confirm we still don't have this feature.
  13. My point was that there are probably also a lot of people who're happy with current setup...
  14. Don't think there's a technical problem as such: just how many of the other 99,999,999+ people using Evernote might want to sort their notebooks by different methods...
  15. Hmmn - just for general information I tried MS Office Lens (MSOL) and was impressed that a white outline immediately appeared around the document I was about to photograph, then less impressed that it then jumped to appear around the mat that the document sat on, then switched rapdily between the two.. and the resolution on the document when I held it still long enough to take the shot was pretty bad too... the Android version of this is a beta, but I think they have a ways to go....
  16. Hmmn... interesting - Microsoft Office Lens Scans Notes and Documents into Office Format By Eric Ravenscraft on 04 Apr 2015 at 8:00PMDocument and note scanning is nothing new. However, Microsoft has decided to enter the game with an advantage only it can offer: excellent Office integration. (The video didn;t make it...)Office Lens, as the new app is called, can scan documents “from any angle” (though you should still probably aim for a head-on image) and automatically fix its perspective, crop it, and clean it up. It can also do other typical OCR tricks like pulling contact info off a business card. Office Lens can export your notes in a variety of formats including JPEG, PDF, and Office filetypes like Word or Powerpoint. The latter comes with some extra tricks. For example, if you save a note in Powerpoint format, the app will make hand-drawn images and text into objects you can arrange separately. All scans can also be exported directly to OneNote or OneDrive. http://www.lifehacker.co.uk/2015/04/04/microsoft-office-lens-scans-notes-documents-office-format
  17. Hate to be smug, but Ctrl-Z seems to work fine for me - I mainly use it when editing text, but just tested a few pastes from web pages and they disappeared on first click.
  18. Hmmn. Let's not mix the Scannable queries with the Evernote Business Card scanner queries, because they're different (though related) apps, and I'm not sure to what extent they overlap. (I'm a Windows'n Android user, so no scannable yet... hint.) Does it help to make extra notes in a separate note and either use the same title or merge the notes?
  19. Hi. Are you adding notes in the actual window where it says "Add Notes?" - The card isn't editable as such; it just allows you to add text in one specific area. If that field is not working, try the 'merging notes' suggestion earlier.
  20. Thanks for the update - odd that a theoretically more powerful OS is less effective at audio, but it's very useful to know there's a difference!
  21. Nope, sorry - notebooks (and notes) share, stacks don't; though you can share the individual notebooks and the recipient can reassemble the stack at their end...
  22. Highlight the text again and hit the highlight button to switch on or off...
  23. Good point @Wordsgood (no pun intended..) - @ bucko; are you editing in the desktop app and then going to the mobile immediately to see your changes?
