  1. Actually I thought of something like this already. But it doesn't solve my problem. Someday I might feel I need to add a tag 'Levant' countries, then I'll have to rename the tags of all those countries in it. The examples I'm giving are very simple actually. My actual work would require me to be a lot more dynamic. But thank you all for the suggestions. I really appreciate it.
  2. Is there any way I can know if the feature is under development or is being thought upon?
  3. This breaks my evernote dream I checked out the workarounds but they're too cumbersome for me. I cannot go on tagging posts like IR-ME-Iraq. Someday I might like to add a sub-division Asia then I'll have change all the tags to IR-Asia-ME-Iraq. If I add something to Iraq, it should automatically list itself in Middle-East, Asia, and International Relations. Further, in the future I might need the ability of keeping a single tag within multiple 'tag-stacks'. For example, I can keep Russia under both Asia as well as Europe... which brings me to an idea which I don't know has been stated earlier or not. Perhaps Evernote can develop a feature "tag-stack" where you cannot tag a note to it and can only keep tags in it. For Example I can have 'tag-stacks' as Asia >> South-East Asia >> Indonesia; you cannot tag a note as asia or south-east asia (unless you have separate tags by those name), and can tag notes only by 'Indonesia'. Would really like a developer to respond to this as well.
  4. Okay, I need a solution for this or it would become a BIG problem for me in the future. I'll explain with an example. I have several tags like Iran, Iraq, US, China, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, etc. Now, I place some of these for example Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia in a new 'tag stack' by the name "Middle-East". However, when I click on the tag Middle-East, it does NOT display all notes of Iran, Iraq and Saudi. Please enlighten me if I'm doing something wrong or if someone has found out a solution to deal with such a situation. Thanks.
  5. This is bad My use requires a lot of highlighting text while reading and searching for the highlight tool everytime breaks my flow. It's not working for me =/
  6. I'm unable to find the shortcut for highlighting text in the Windows Desktop based application. Kindly someone tell me. Thanks.
  7. I'm not talking of any x button on the left panel. I'm talking about after you click on 'Tags' ('click' not 'open' the tree of tags), you will get a separate search bar for tags below the "Search all notes" field. I know about the power of the all notes search but I plan to use the tag-search bar extensively for some reasons. It would be great if the evernote guys add an x button there.
  8. Yes, I see the problem comes in Left-Alignment also. I never checked because I always use justified. I didn't understand what the 'over-head' is. Kindly let me know if you know a solution. Thanks.
  9. I always use the 'justified' paragraph format to make notes. I'm facing two problems: 1. The last few characters in each line of the note are almost always 'cut', as if the right-side margin is outside my screen. I have to refresh the note by selecting a couple of other notes and coming back again to make the 'justfied' format re-align itself and not cut characters. 2. Can I get an option to set 'justified' as my default format? Right now I have to select all text and then 'justify' it each time. Thanks.
  10. When you click on the 'Tags' button on the sidebar, the right side of the application displays all the tags sorted alphabetically. This is the "all-tabs page" I'm referring to. There's a separate search function for the tags. But there's no 'x' button for clearing the search results.
  11. In the search box of all-tags page, we need an 'X' button to clear up the search results. Thanks Editing after checking a response: When you click on the 'Tags' button on the sidebar, the right side of the application displays all the tags sorted alphabetically. There's a separate search function for the tags. But there's no 'x' button for clearing the search results.
