  1. Hi. Evernote apparently disabled some accounts for their own reasons. You will need to contact Support (via a mobile device seems easiest) to regain access.
  2. Hi. Log out and back in, or restart your system. It takes a while for the revised database to show locally.
  3. Hi. Sounds more like local resource issues or connection problems than an actual bug - have you tried restarting your system? If that didn't work, definitely worth a support ticket to get your logs reviewed...
  4. They're probably still trying to figure out whether it is an actual issue - and with users into the millions, the last thing they need is a flood of logs hitting their servers!
  5. Hi. You haven't mentioned what device, OS or what Evernote version you're using, though obviously Ctrl is a Windows thing... and I have no idea. Why not try Ctrl-S and see what happens?
  6. If you're exporting for backup - do it by notebook, not selected individual notes. If for other reasons - move notes into one notebook 50 at a time and then backup the notebook...
  7. Yup - already reported in other threads... may help if you can raise a support ticket and share your logs with them. It's a new bug in the new software and agreed it shouldn't do that, but it will be fixed, and you could help. https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  8. Hi. I moved your post to a general feature request page where others can vote in favour. If that's not what you want, please say, and I'll move it back. Personally I use a reading app (Pocket) to hold stuff I haven't read yet, and clip from there to Evernote if a quick scan determines it's worth looking at. Evernote isn't intended to be a reading app as such - short notes are best - so whether or not they (or other users) would agree that a place-holder is essential I don't know. We shall see...
  9. Obviously Evernote has its own priorities, which it does not (usually) share. Until this is available, the options are Legacy (if that works for you) or - maybe - use a word processor that will do the spell check and copy/ paste the completed work into a note - or just attach the WP file.
  10. If you are a web page owner, then you have a number of reasons to protect your content. Copyright / loss of traffic etc are all valid concerns. It's not necessary to 'verify' the situation, because it is a fact of life. As is the difficulty of designing software that can download some or all of a full page content and present it as it appears online. As already pointed out there are many different flavours of web coding, and more are being invented each day. There's no standard or agreed format. There's also no 'right' to clip, so the onus is on the clipper to find a way to grab the content they require in acceptable quality. Worst case - use a separate camera to take a picture!
  11. Hi. All your devices sync with the server both to send and receive notes, though the PC seems to have some issues. Try Tips for troubleshooting syncing issues
  12. Hi. Who or what are "Evernote Local Files" and how did you store them on an external volume? Evernote 6.25 has a Local Notebooks feature which simply means that a notebook is created that is part of your main database, but is not synced to the server. If you open Evernote and go to Tools > Options > General you will be able to verify where (all) your notes are stored. If you moved that location to an encrypted volume, then all your local Evernote data is safe. In version 10 however there is no such feature* so you may want to consider some alternative storage, saving a link to the file in Evernote. v10 has a temporary database which, unless you opt to retain it for offline working, will be cleared on exiting the app. The database is not available to the user or other applications and third-party encryption is not supported. Your 'other' option would be to attach encrypted files to your notes. Hope that helps... *Convert local notebooks
  13. For clarity - I'm not advocating this for the switch to v10, that was meant as a general comment regarding the benefits of a clean install vs an 'upgrade' install, where sometimes older log and config files can have an adverse effect on the performance of the new installation.
  14. The new versions go out as "phased releases" - they'll be available on a timescale to suit Evernote. The latest release will be downloadable from Evernote.com and could be installed "over the top" of your existing app. Personally I prefer to sync and uninstall older versions first, then download and install a new one.
  15. How are you proposing to "organize the content of the notebook"? It's possible to sort notes by various dates and the title. Sort in created date order and you can easily find the first note created. Sort by title and start a note title with "001" and it will always be at the top...
  16. Hi. I don't think anyone else thought it was an issue... see comments above.
  17. Double disclosure - I'm not using Apple products or v10; but I always understood that tags didn't like spaces - which you have in your example. And Evernote tends to use ":" colons as control characters as in tag:source. Have you considered trying S_Ancestry S_<name> etc for your tags?
  18. Hmmn. I won't second-guess Support, but you might like to make sure you're synced up to date and then do a full uninstall / restart / reinstall to make sure all the support files for the app are present and correct...
  19. If that notebook is the default notebook, you're not allowed to delete it... Delete a notebook
  20. Hi. If you just updated, give it time to reload the new database structure. Log out and back in / restart your system - some basic teching will get your notes back. Which are still available if you sign into Evernote.com.
  21. Hi. It's not (yet) possible to add more fonts to Evernote.
  22. I think I just did - but I did suggest work-arounds. There's no point in using a feature that is broken. If you want a clip of the web site, better to use a third-party service that actually works!
  23. Hi. You're a subscriber, so have access to Support (which we're not - mainly users here...) you could check with them. However I believe v10 has been set up to auto-update as and when a new version becomes available, so you may already have the latest version that you're also downloading from the web site. Have you been noticing that your version 'sticks' at a particular level unless you do a manual update? https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  24. Well - if you can share more details of what's going on, and what OS/device/version we're talking about here, we might be able to help. You're a subscriber so you can contact Support (which is not us, by the way - mainly other users here...) and/ or if you're on a desktop you could revert back to the 'old' Evernote setup. https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  25. Hi. Users have reported blank displays just after upgrading, while the app updates itself completely. Sometimes it takes signing out and back in, or a complete restart; but no-one I know has been left without notes. If this is still an issue for you - OS? Evernote version? device?
