  1. I think you may have misread the posts here - the suggestion is that since there are currently only three levels of Stack > Notebooks > Notes, plus titles and tags, users need to find a way to use the current system or migrate to a different one. It's pointless to argue about the relative benefits when some possible options are not available. Nice pics though. Happy New Year!
  2. Hi. It's difficult to suggest why random searches don't work immediately - best advice when it fails would be to carefully document when and how a note was added to the database, and how long after you searched for it, then raise a ticket with Support so they can look into it. Remember that the new version is very much more dependent on the server for main storage and search indexing, and the new temporary local storage isn't quite the same thing as having a complete local database. Sync before search is probably more important these days. If you find that searches are really failing, you could rebuild the local cache - which involves signing out, unticking 'save a copy of my notes on this machine' and (maybe) a restart to refresh everything.
  3. As far as the Chrome issue is concerned (and Edge, I gather, is now Chrome based too...) it's any link in a clipped page from any website will revert back to the original clipped site, and not to the information to which the site was linking.
  4. I merged the two posts - please don't do that; the same people (who are mainly other users) see your comments and will help if we can... but in this case mobile 'clipping' is exclusively sharing. Unless you have a tablet which can run the desktop app, there are no additional Evernote add-ins to clip web pages. Although if you are a subscriber, you'd be able to send a copy of a web page to your account by email.
  5. I don't think this is specifically an Evernote issue... https://www.securitymagazine.com/articles/96667-the-top-data-breaches-of-2021 - especially if someone attempts access to an Evernote account using user name and password data sourced from elsewhere. I know I've accessed my account from several countries and various devices over the years. How can Evernote check each time whether I am actually me? (Without annoying me to the extent that I'll use different note-taking software!) Extreme caution is a condition of saving any information online. Some of my data is in a Legacy local (offline) notebook, and several items (including my Secret Plans for World Domination) are solely on paper and in a drawer next to my laptop. Mark Twain's old saying about two people keeping a secret - but only if one of them is dead - is even more true for the internet. If anything is online - assume it may not be a secret!!
  6. ...Just a general point: most browsers have a local 'cache' - storage which holds copies of the websites you have used recently sp it doesn't have to download them all over again. Clearing that cache might get you an updated copy of the database...
  7. Hi. What image do you have? Any clue where it came from?
  8. Hi. I'm still happily using 6.25 on Windows 10. I'm comfortable with the 'devil I know' - it works; sometimes not as well as I'd like... but it works. For that reason principally, I have no interest in updating to v10 or W11 until I absolutely have to.
  9. No, it's not - check their website. And - it's nothing to do with Evernote anyway!
  10. Hi. You're commenting on a (mainly) user-supported forum, so we don't basically know. Please complete a support request and take this up with Evernote. Since any access will have been obtained with your valid user details, you have taken the action necessary to secure against repetitions. If your user details were used for access to any other sites, it may not have been an Evernote issue which caused this situation.
  11. The small print in that offer email says: Don't know where your situation sits with all that, but if you want to query it, you need to raise a support ticket. It's the year-end holiday season so it'll take a while for a person to respond...
  12. Hi. Just for information this is a (mainly) user-supported forum. If you are a subscriber you can report issues to Evernote Support via https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new or you can raise the matter here for possible advice or assistance. It's useful in either case to have your device, OS and Evernote version, plus a detailed description of what sort of difficulty you're experiencing.
  13. I wasn't aware of any restrictions on devices for paid users. If you sign out of Evernote it has to connect to the server to sign you back in. Known issue - the fix is: don't sign out. -And if the new v10 was a contributory factor, a lot of us are still using the original Legacy version until things catch up. However: entirely your choice; objections noted - hope MS is good for you. Bye!
  14. You may know you're only using one device, but you may have to make sure Evernote is aware of that. Follow the links in my post above to check how many devices Evernote thinks are connected to this account, and disconnect all of them. You'll have to log in again from the one that you are using, but you'll be certain that it is the only one...
  15. I'm still using the old Windows pre-legacy version which works as well as it ever has - which is not great, some of the time - but it's still working. If you want to uninstall and reinstall your app using the old Mac version you could try this link - http://cdn1.evernote.com/mac-smd/public/Evernote_RELEASE_7.14_458244.zip -And if you wish to use v10 alongside the old version ("Legacy") go here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  16. Seems like I had the same email from Evernote. Just at the end here in the greyed-out fine print there's a bit which seems relevant...(my bold text) Evernote Personal Annual discount offer good only with Evernote Personal purchase. Offer available to Evernote Free, Premium, and web-based Plus users only; offer expires January 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT. Offer has no cash value, is non-transferable, may not be sold, and cannot be combined with any other offer. Offer can only be redeemed on Evernote’s website or through the Evernote app. Offer not valid for Plus users who originally subscribed to Evernote via an iOS or Android device. Also, offer may not be used to extend current paid subscriptions. At the end of the discount period, the Personal Annual subscription will automatically renew for a one-year term and your method of payment will be charged the full price unless you cancel prior to that date. Offer is void where prohibited by law.
  17. Hi. Ask your service provider or Samsung. Older versions of the S-pen would sync with Evernote, but more recent versions are stand-alone. If you can export your S-pen notes to another format like PDF you might be able to archive them in Evernote...
  18. ?? That's an OS level integration - if you set your default PDF reader as Foxit, that's what should open your files. Evernote (AFAIK) has never had a built-in default PDF reader... (apart from the annotation process).
  19. Hi. To revert to the previous behaviour on PC or Mac, please see: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Evernote v10 was released something over a year ago with a completely revamped app - not sure why you'd only be encountering it now, but you may wish to check that you have the latest version - it was a little basic to begin with, but has been adding more features over these past few months rather than losing them.
  20. I merged two posts here and deleted one other - although I sympathise that you need to get this refund through, it's only necessary to post once. The same small group of helpers (who are mostly other users - especially at this time of year) will see your query and respond.
