  1. Hi. Device / OS / Evernote version? If you're on a desktop check Settings > Application > "keep a copy of my notes on this device..."
  2. You made me look - my previous comment was from Android legacy to desktop v10. My tablet is (apparently) already on 10.50.4 and it took a whole second for a new note to jump from there to the desktop!
  3. Also updated here - added a note via my mobile which has been taking a long time to sync lately. Appeared on my desktop within 2 minutes. Not instant, but far quicker than previously...
  4. Hi. Support is available here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new Evernote is currently working on sync issues, so you may have experienced some anomalies, but obviously that is not expected behaviour. If your notes are large, you may find that loading times on a mobile are extended - better to have lots of small notes than one large one. I hope support can assist you.
  5. I created a note and attached a PDF both of which included a unique string - searched my hard drive later for any trace of that string and came up zero. I don't know how you came to have a OneDrive backup, but that (IMHO) is a complete red herring. I'd suggest you check with Support to verify details (we're all users here) but beware depending on OneDrive as part of your system. Please let us know if you figure out the connection!
  6. Have you looked at Note History? Use note history to view older versions of a note
  7. ? It would have been criitical of another user without being helpful or useful in the ongoing discussion...
  8. I deleted a post here for being in breach of the Forums Code of conduct...
  9. Hmmn. If you have access to the history, you'll also have access to Support so I suggest you get them to look. I still have no clue what might affect the content one day and not the next!
  10. I use both at the same time - two windows on my data.
  11. If you were a subscriber - even if only for a month if you had that option - you could use the Note History option to 'go back' to an earlier version of the note and -maybe- restore the images from there. (These are separate backups taken from every account, paid or not, several times each day.) Like many other big aplications Evernote does not offer support to free users - it is impractical with over 200 million of them. You may be able to get some help via https://twitter.com/evernotehelps but otherwise this Forum (or some similar ones on social media) is the only option. Use note history to view older versions of a note
  12. Hi. On any desktop go to the Notebooks page and click the three dots menu on the right side. From there it is possible to download the entire notebook as ENEX or PDF files.
  13. Hi. Known issue, lots of reports here, and (AFAIK) no fixes. MacOS has changed and a plugin the Evernote requires is no longer available. Legacy Evernote is no longer supported and will not change. Have you tried v10?
  14. Hi. No clue - I don't know how IFTTT creates the notes, but I do know that Twitter is currently far less accommodating than it used to be for external feeds. If you're a subscriber here I suggest you take it up with both Evernote and IFTTT supports (which we're not - mainly other users here.)
  15. Hi. Device / OS / Evernote version? Screenshot too, please...
  16. Hi. My Mac colleagues here may have some ideas, but my only suggestion would be to go with the PDF suggestion and use an Import Folder to 'suck' the information into Evernote. Create import folders
  17. You may know that only one device is signed in, but does Evernote? More information here: Understanding the device limit
  18. Hi. What's your device / OS / Evernote version? It's unlikely that you could go back to an earlier version to fix this issue, but you may find that making your lists in a 'code block' will help. You would need to use '[ ]' (square brackets) as tick boxes because the code block does not support tasks or checkboxes. To create a code block, type '{} ' in the note body or use the '+' menu
  19. Hi. If those 'images' were linked from another web source, the originals may have been moved or deleted, or your database may have been damaged in some way, or the files are large and take time to download. If you are a subscriber I'd suggest contacting Support for assistance, quoting the URL(s) from which the images came.
  20. Hi. From any desktop app go to the Notebooks page and click the three-dot menu to the right of the name. You can download the entire content from there. If you wish to delete that content from the servers you can also so that online. Details here https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056549574
  21. Hi. I've no clue how some of your Evernote notes got into a OneDrive folder*. The program files are at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Programs\Evernote but anything to do with note content is not likely to be user- (or search-) friendly. It's possible to use Evernote as an index for external files (Google or any other cloud drive) by simply adding an 'executive summary' to each stored link. You could export notebooks to HTML to generate a searchable database. It's possible to use other notes as potential 'folders' for themes - there's such a thing as a Table of Contents note containing links to child-notes, some or all of which could also be ToC notes so your hierarchy can be as comprehensive as necessary. But don't forget that you can use evernote's comprehensive search features to track things down. I have actually found that I had more information on some topics than I thought, because a search rounded up clips from web pages that I had collected at some stage for reasons other than my current searches. You can find lots of useful information here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us *Windows 11 does, thoughtfully, save your desktop to OneDrive by default...??
  22. Hi. There's no longer a sync button - everything happens in real time. Why do you need to control sync?
  23. If your data was not sent to the server, then there is no way to recover it. There are other posts here about notes showing numbers instead of text which hopefully are being followed up with Support. The only additional things you could do for the moment are: check by signing in online at Evernote.com to see whether the web content is more up to date, and also check Note History to see whether your updated note got overwritten by incorrect versions.
  24. Totally agree it's a 'nice to have', but it takes me about 1 second to copy and paste a list into my WP, sort it and paste it back, and I do that maybe once a month. Just sayin'.
