  1. This really is a no brainer: The links in HTML export from the HTML file to the attachments in the folder are broken, since v10 launched. I send 2 or 3 tickets about it myself, I have mentioned it several times here in the forum, and that’s it by now. Still „kaputt“. They can be corrected manually, which shows it’s just a stupid bug that is creating a nearly correct link, minus 1 essential character.
  2. What is not clear about the current shortcuts ? alt&ctrl&S is the screen capture shortcut - but not in legacy, it is in the new version.
  3. The local copy is complete - at least if you have given it enough time to download. No idea about the use of the API by other apps. The documentation about the API (at least what I saw of it) is pitifully outdated and incomplete. We probably need to wait until the change takes effect.
  4. Nobody is forced to use v10. If these legacy users were so clever to stick with an abandoned software for so long, they are clever enough to find their next app and move their content there. 4 weeks, guys. No time to waste time here in the forum. You procrastinated for more than 3 years now - it’s action time, wake up !
  5. Check the setting for note width in app settings, notes. There are options for fit to screen vs. optimized readability. Try to toggle between the two.
  6. @Home and Work user open your main account in the app. Open any other account in the browser. You can have 2, 3, 4, … , many accounts open at the same time. There is a quick account switcher in the app as well.
  7. On the Mac you need to use AppCleaner to really uninstall EN - no matter which client. And if it was just recently installed, and the client was not kept running in the background, I think it will still be downloading content. Until the local database is fully created, the app will not be as fast as it will be when done. The download took several days for me, on a fast internet connection.
  8. Don’t think so. But access local only sucks. Even legacy was build to stay in sync with a server - and you feel it.
  9. Your notes are stored on the cloud server. To access them, you need to log into your account. If you are logged into an account: How do you know it’s yours, when your notes are not there ? You can check in your account settings when your account (the one you say you can access) was created.
  10. If you went to a Teams subscription, your account will basically be split into two: One teams, one personal. Teams is for use with multiple persons (actually it doesn’t make sense below 3 users). I have never set one up myself, but your notes should be in your Personal account. As with most account issues, you probably need support to sort it out.
  11. Actualy you can have one account open in the app, and several others in the web client, using several browser tabs (not supported in all browsers). You can have the same account open in the app plus the web browser tabs. And you can have the same note open in the app and several web browser tabs, and you can use them all at the same time to edit the same note, with the edits from one tab appearing in all the others while you type. Try this in legacy, and the client would simply freak, flooding you with duplicates and conflict notes.
  12. You could have solved your problem in less time than it took you to write your answer, from a pragmatic point of view. From a dogmatic point of view you are right, a setup should let the user skip non essential components.
  13. The only people who speak for the company are carrying a STAFF designator in their forum badge. About the rest: You decided what app and service to use. If you don't like the course it is taking, grab your stuff and go where you like it better.
  14. You obviously misunderstood the blog post. This is about command / shortcuts. You find the regular shortcuts here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209004807-Keyboard-shortcuts-in-Evernote-for-Windows
  15. Anybody on a not supported OS can still log in on the web client. No idea what happens when the legacy client was logged in before 23rd March, and then is opened with the PC in offline. Academical question, I suppose.
  16. Assuming you use legacy, because you mention "local Evernote collection": Local notebooks are not supported in the v10 clients. If you want to keep them inside of EN, export them to ENEX, then import them when v10 is running. Do it while you are subscribed, you will not be able to do it under the Free upload limit. Your existing notes will be there, and you are able to open and edit them. You can't move them, and you can't create any new note.
  17. Why don't you simply follow the instructions ? Install it, clip a web page. You can uninstall it after that, it seems. I can't know, I use the web clipper on all browsers I use. It is excellent.
  18. Just quit your current subscription. Let the account slip to Free. Then subscribe again, with the plan you want to use. Free will lead to a situation in which you can't create new notes, but your current content is safe and can be edited. You could create some notes in advance "just in case".
  19. Home, Tasks, real time syncing, shared editing, ... Legacy is so lost. With modern MacOs not usable any more. 32bit code on Windows, not able to draw from modern software libraries. Game over ...
  20. Expect the old v10 clients to stop syncing one day, like all legacy versions. We don’t know the date, but technical reasons speak for abandoning them. The strategy to stop updating is not sustainable, just like the continued us of legacy.
  21. Copy and paste through the OS clipboard works without any problem for one data type. This means text, pictures or other content. It does not work for mixed content, like a picture plus text.
  22. As already explained, viewing does NOT alter the „laser changed“ date - if the actual client* is used. There was a bug for some releases, but it got fixed. It is not a property of v10 to change the date when just viewing. (*) checked on Mac, Web and iOS
  23. I agree that the app and its functioning has really been improved a lot during the last months. The last paragraph is why I always ask users (especially legacy users) to explain WHY they want a specific feature. Best thing would always be to describe the use case. Unfortunately only a tiny part will do it - most only insist it is essential, and start to rant.
