When I first started out using this feature I had the same idea. I've been using it for quite a while and really like that it's not editable (probably one of the few that thinks that way lol). For me it's a security thing. The mail to email is less likely to get into the hands of anyone that shouldn't have it if it's randomly generated.

Can‘t add Tags to notes
Sayre Ambrosio replied to tomtommac's topic in Evernote for iOS Issues (Versions 8.24.6 and under)
For the betas it’s never recommended to use them on a device you use everyday or with information you can’t afford to lose. As far as support for EN betas, from what I understand they receive feedback about any issues but I don’t think they’ve ever done traditional support on beta builds for any platform. When you sign up to beta test it’s somewhere in the terms. I completely understand that you want more feature parity with the Mac or Windows version. I can only speak to Mac since I don’t use Windows often. With iPad OS you may get closer than you would with iOS but I’m not sure as I know very little about programming. Though even if that happens, nothing on a mobile platform is going to be able to equal a desktop version in my opinion. -

Are you by any chance using a beta version of Evernote? I can confirm this feature is missing in the latest beta release on iOS. -
What @gazumped posted is what you should go by. If you want to store something like that in Evernote the best bet would be to put it into Google Drive (if you have the space) and then link it via the Google Drive integration with Evernote. Of course this can also be done with any cloud service really if you just want to throw a link in there.

The Apple Watch app will not show all notes. I believe it's the 8 latest updated notes and then either 8 or 10 shortcut notes. It's not meant to be a full fledged app for viewing notes by scrolling through them. But if there is one that you aren't seeing that you need you can search for it on the watch. If you hard press it will pop up the options to make a new note, record audio, or search your notes. Depending on the amount of notes in the account it can take a hot minute to pull them up. I have 7500 notes in my account (personal) and even more in my business so I rarely use the search on the watch as it takes too long. I attached a screenshot of the options on the watch when you hard press.

Just a heads up (and I think I read a response to this somewhere already but didn't see it in this thread) that the team is aware of this and they are working on the issues that come with iOS 13. However, because it's a beta it's run at your own risk. Evernote has limited support (very limited) for their own betas so an iOS beta is not going to be something support can help with. I highly recommend signing up for the Evernote beta program for whatever device that you have. I've been a tester for years and the team is very responsive. That would give you an alternative option when running into these problems, although it's not a for sure fix for crashes especially running a beta on a beta

You can also reach out to Evernote on Twitter at https://twitter.com/evernotehelps That may be faster than waiting for support as the support team as far as I know only answers emails Monday through Friday. So you're prepared no matter how you contact them here is a copy of the refund policy in case you haven't seen it. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/115010561808-Evernote-Refund-Policy

As an author myself who is a bit OCD in the way my stuff is organized I just wanted to make a suggestion. I use Scrivener for my writing and Evernote for my research. A cool thing about Scrivener is that you can import the public link for a note into the app by using the Import Web Page function. It's the best workflow that I have personally found. Each app has its strengths and I am a big fan of both, neither one can handle my obsessive structure by itself. I found that together it is a match made in heaven.

As far as I know the Evernote beta does not fix it. I'm running the stable version and beta iOS apps. It's hit or miss, but alas that is the way the beta world works. The best option is to do what you did here to report the bugs you are finding. Officially EN doesn't provide support for beta builds of their product being that it's a beta and you acknowledge that when you start to use them. However, I have found that using the forums to share experiences has been helpful when it comes to things like this. The support (officially) for those of us running stable builds on a beta OS is the same as if we were running a beta build of EN so those issues should be brought up here in the forums as well.

Security in iPhone X series
Sayre Ambrosio replied to Hasan Basriy's question in General Technical Issues
Many people forget about this option. Thanks for the reminder -
It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but if you are an iPhone user there is an iMessage app that essentially does this.

When loaning out your computer, if you sign out of your Evernote account you should be fine. If you have a strong password I doubt that unless they were seriously trying to hack your system while borrowing it, that they could get in. As for passwords in a note, you can select the text and encrypt the contents. I do that with mine. I like you, use Evernote every day and would be lost without it. I would love to be able to have a locking feature for a while note that has more than text in it, but for now, I just sign out of Evernote if I need that extra security. Make sure that you upvote using the feature at the top of threads if you are in one that addresses this issue. It's the best way to show the company that the feature should be considered.

Outlook Plugin MAC
Sayre Ambrosio replied to Circuxx's question in Evernote for Mac Requests (Versions 7.14 and under)
Do you happen to have a Business 365 account? I have it on my personal and it isn't there. So either I'm missing a setting somewhere or it's not enabled for my account for some reason. I get the same result no matter where I use Outlook (thought admittedly I don't use it often) -
Outlook Plugin MAC
Sayre Ambrosio replied to Circuxx's question in Evernote for Mac Requests (Versions 7.14 and under)
I don't think this is an Evernote only issue. I have reached out to Microsoft many times in the past asking about this very issue. Because they have the ability to clip to OneNote in the Mac app (not sure about Windows) I get the feeling that this is done by design on Microsoft's end. I have multiple msn.com emails that work with the Evernote plugin perfectly. My icloud, gmail, and a few others do not have the option to clip to Evernote, just OneNote. I believe that there is a request on Microsoft's UserVoice forum to remedy this but I don't think it's going to happen. -
Love filterize.

I’ve just found my way back to it. I used it all the time when they first started, but they didn’t have the option for business notebooks back then. Now they do and I can honestly say it really does help on the back end of processing once you get it set up to do what you wanted to do.
