  1. .exb files are still used by the Evernote Legacy product (Windows) They are not used by the Evernote Version 10 product
  2. I use tags; !Actionable-Goal !Actionable-Project !Actionable-Task For date critical tasks, I store the due date using the Reminder feature Also non-dated reminders for active tasks The reminder feature also stores completed status/date
  3. We've been told additional export options are imminent - no timetable given I use the html option for my backups (Legacy)
  4. Thanks for the update and editing tables Has anyone figured out how to edit column widths select cells to merge; I can only select a row or column
  5. Probably not, but my mother had many other talents And at the age of 80, she asked me to get her a computer and learned how to use it
  6. I don't know about "criminal", but I find it a useful solution to the Version 10 problems I wish we had the same solution for IOS
  7. We noticed this with the Legacy product Some background - the name is a metadata field associated with the file - the actual filename is system generated, looks like some algorithm using the file contents results in a single file being stored regardless how many times it's imported
  8. Windows C:/users/<youraccount>/appdata/roaming /evernote Mac /Users/<youraccount>/Library/Application Support/Evernote >I think the data may be in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Evernote" and is no longer stored in a .exb file. Confirmed
  9. I can confirm the Version 10 database structure is completely different than the Legacy structure I don't know about "equivalent", but your logic seems reasonable >>can't someone put out an architecture diagram with some text explaining what we can expect from each part of that architecture? That's usually available for the user population Did you have such information for the Legacy product?
  10. Still an Evernote Legacy user, but I like the Devonthink app I'm really into scripting and appreciate the heavy Applescript integration Warning - It's Apple only (Mac/IOS) and no web access - Make sure you backup your data There's no sync to a server maintaining a master data version
  11. The .enex file is self contained; not tied to any account, and does not require a password to access However the method to access notes is by importing the .enex file into an account For my backups, I use the .html export option (Evernote Legacy) The notes are read-able by any browser app
  12. What features do you consider important? Also which platforms/devices - I'm an Apple user with a Mac and iPad. Web access is useful #1 on my list is not being locked in; I must be able to export my data #2 is a non-proprietary format; EN uses enml (basically html)
  13. Can't know for sure, but I don't think we'll see Local Notebooks added to the Version 10 product. It's not supported in the new cloud architecture My hope is for other missing features that are critical for my workflow Some specifically promised; others not mentioned (but not rejected) As you indicated, the Legacy product is working well for me
  14. A different topic but I use a script to generate note title, assign tags, ... This enforces a uniform standard across all my notes
  15. No limit - the entire notebook is exported
  16. I prefix my note titles with subject date, for example: 2021-03-06 Receipt [Groceries] ... and simply sort by title
  17. The reminder search fields are reminderOrder reminderTime reminderDoneTime To search all reminders, use reminderOrder:* To exclude completed reminders, use -reminderDoneTime:*
  18. I merged your post with an ongoing discussion See above for answers
  19. There is a database you can backup, but it's only used for offline access A better process is to use the export feature and backup notes/attachments
  20. No idea about aesthetics, but I know EN is moving towards a concept that supports a common code base between platforms and allows for enhancements in development and delivery of features The current code base is quite platform specific
  21. "move an item to the bottom" is not supported by the Evernote editor ☑️Checkboxes have always been supported, and the new Version 10 product supports checklists which applies strikethrough to checked items
  22. The discussion is on Local notebooks Offline notebooks are a different subject, and still supported >>the app still needs to be able to cache notes locally until they are upsynced Confirmed, offline access and cache is still supported
  23. Install the Evernote Legacy product (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote) Select all the notes > File > Save Attachments
