  1. gazumped's post in Re-ordering notebooks and stacks was marked as the answer
Hi.  No.  You can change the notebook names so the default works for you - try
A - Middle of the road thoughts
    B - Zoological interests
    C - Arctic Winter
Or: use more stacks and separate the most important notebooks out.
  2. gazumped's post in Sort Options for each Notepad was marked as the answer
Hi.  You're not missing anything that I'm aware of - Evernote doesn't (yet) allow you to remember specific view options.  It used to be possible in Legacy,  so you could revert to that unsupported version in the short term and maybe feedback to Evernote that you'd very much like the option returned,  and/ or set up a votable Feature Request here (if it hasn't been done already) to see how many others favour the same thing.  It's unknown whether,  or when,  Evernote intends to re-include this feature at some future time.
  3. gazumped's post in Sorting the order of PDFs within a note. was marked as the answer
Hi.  I moved your post to General Discussions since you didn't mention your device,  OS or Evernote version.  "Teams" where you first posted is the business product which I assume you don't have.
As to your query - there's no way to sort the content of a note in Evernote,  but if you have your files in a table - either an Evernote table (use square brackets to generate one - [][] = 2 cells wide x 1 high) or an Excel sheet,  you can copy/ paste the Evernote table into a spreadsheet or just open an Excel sheet and sort there.  Then just replace the cell contents with the revised list...
  4. gazumped's post in Can't send pdfs to evernote any more--since this morning was marked as the answer
I noticed recently that import folder to Evernote imports generate a weird response for a while - "unknown file type" and such... but after a while they sort themselves out and everything is copacetic.  Import / scan everything,  but save the originals.  Give it an hour or so and then check whether everything is working.  You should find it's OK.
  5. gazumped's post in Where do deleted tasks go? was marked as the answer
I'd imagine if you trash a task,  it's gone completely.  Check Settings > Preferences > Tasks to find where the default task storage is,  and maybe check Note History in that note to see older versions??  If you had a task in a specific note,  try History there.  Otherwise - ask Support!
  6. gazumped's post in PDFs appear to save as notes but PDFs disappear was marked as the answer
Hi.  No clue.  We're mostly users here,  not Support.  I'd recommend you reach out to them and be prepared to share your system logs / notes where this issue has arisen.  I'm also a long-time user and don't seem to have any problems,  and you're reporting an intermittent fault that may be hard to pin down.   Notes, and note contents don't typically go missing - and syncing 'between devices' won't be an issue:  each device syncs with the server in a 'star' pattern.  Having said which,  editing one note on more than one device could overwrite one version of a note with another if the first device doesn;t havetime to update the central server record.
Have you used Note History to check back to see whether notes with a missing PDF actually had that file at some time in the recent past?
Use note history to view older versions of a note
  7. gazumped's post in Getting an inaccurate "over limit" message on desktop was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you can subscribe - even for a month or two - that would get you out of the limitation immediately and give you access to Support... although they'll probably just tell you to update your version.  If you have another email address,  you could start another account and use that as a temporary store untile things even out - but exceeding the limit isn't something you can work around.  The usage stats aren't very clear but if you exceeded the very basic free limit it's possible that you went a couple of times over,  and the system is still catching up...
  8. gazumped's post in Had "Free" version on my Android, but now can't use it was marked as the answer
Hi.  Sounds like you have connected using a new device (or at least one that Evernote doesn't recognise) and so have fallen foul of the Device Limit.  See the help pages for more information... Understanding the device limit
  9. gazumped's post in Notes won't export to PDF was marked as the answer
Hi.  How big is your note,  and does it contain attachments?  Have you tried to print it to PDF rather than export?
  10. gazumped's post in Windows 11 Evernote Legacy Evernote 10 Compatibilty was marked as the answer
Hi.  If you mean issues with Windows 11,  then the answer is no.  I'm running a desktop with Win 11 and both Evernote 6.25 and 10 installed.  Both work fine.  Sounds like your installation got corrupted somehow.  I'd suggest you uninstall Legacy and see whether Evernote 10 works correctly - if it does,  try reinstalling Legacy again.  If not,  uninstall everything,  restart your device and start over.
  11. gazumped's post in "Shortcut" Keys in Web Clipper dialog box seem in active. Selectable via mouse. was marked as the answer
Hi.  Do you have any screen shots for reference?  The Clipper settings panel incudes activation,  and a list of options.  If the actions you want are not listed,  there are various automation tools that might help...

  12. gazumped's post in Turn off shared note notifications? was marked as the answer
Hi again.  Postach.io is the only integration that I'm aware of that can take the contents of a notebook and convert it to a website.  Onbviously a notebook doesn't have the same parent / child structure of your average website - their standard format is a blog.  But you can create links between notes to generate a fair approximation.  There's not much of a learning curve,  but you may have to adapt your content to what is available.
As to the need for an add-in at all...   you have already seen that while you can open a web page for which you have the URL,  you can't open child links created within Evernote.  To do the same thing manually,  you'd need the public URL of each of your child pages,  and you'd have to recreate all your links,  not as note links,  but as links to the public URL for each note.  Depending on how many links are involved,  that might take a while...
  13. gazumped's post in Help me revert to version 8.12 was marked as the answer
Hmmn.  Don't think there has ever been a 'direct' link to an Android update - they seem to get spread around by the Play store and routine app updates.  I totally understand your reluctance to install from a non-Google source,  but that may be your only option if you want to step back here...
  14. gazumped's post in Adding email to notebooks was marked as the answer
Hi.  The help page referenced above describes how you can forward email from specific addresses to Evernote,  but the notes may wind up in different notebooks - autofile is not very exacting in Evernote.  Another app though "Filterize"  can check new notes for the same sort of kewords your mail client will use to forward them and can move the note into the correct notebook.
A more specific example - my email client will forward emails from Amazon to my general Evernote email address;  Filterize can move any of those notes not already there into to my Amazon notebook,  add relevant tags and even change the note title if I wish.
  15. gazumped's post in Parse notes was marked as the answer
Hi.  A search within Evernote will return a list of notes containing the keyword content.  From there you can edit,  view,  print or export (in ENEX or HTML) the content.  There's no way to process the information in any way.  It's a storage and retrieval system.
  16. gazumped's post in Install Evernote 10 on a Windows PC with Legacy 6.25 was marked as the answer
Hi.  You should be aware that installing the new version will 1) give you the option to convert any local (i.e. unsynced) notebooks to standard synced ones - there's no such thing as an unsynced notebook in v10;  and 2) it will likely remove the legacy app;  not the database,  just the app - although since you have the updated 6.25.2 version it may not - you'll find out.  If it does do that,  reinstalling should be easy and quick.
The two apps use different databases,  so you'll have a period where v10 is populating its local data - don't worry if you don't see notes for a while.  If your drive capacity is tight with two databases to support,  you should be able to relocate the legacy database - don't mess with v10.
Changes in one app will be synced up to the server,  and then (AFAIK) back down to the 'other' app,  so you should,  as you say,  definitely not run the two together!
Good luck - let us know how you get on...
  17. gazumped's post in use adjustable row height was marked as the answer
Actually the reason there's no adjustment is entirely the fault of users who wanted identical presentations on all devices.  Evernote had to impose its own fonts across several different operating systems to achieve that - which meant that they were limited in the style control they could achieve.  Plus this is not a request forum - users are welcome to suggest changes,  but it's entirely up to Evernote whether they decide to take the time and cost to implement them.  Meantime to achieve a precise layout - use a word processor or a spreadsheet app and attach the output file to your note.
  18. gazumped's post in Exporting Evernote notes as PDFs was marked as the answer
Don't forget also that it's possible to:
print notes to PDF - up to 50 at a time in v10;  more in Legacy,  and  export attachments from selected notes (with the same version limits) in their original file format publish notebooks as a private blog with freemium http://postach.io/ (password protecting the blog is available as a paid feature) -I appreciate the last isn't exactly what was asked for,  but it is a way to view the contents of a notebook easily without having to open the Evernote app - and the content is fully searchable via internal tags and links.
  19. gazumped's post in Opening links in Evernote app was marked as the answer
Doesn't it depend on how the note was shared?  If the link is simply a public link it will open in a browser window with a pop-up option to add it to your own database.  If you have a pop-up blocker that might prevent the display...
@Spider221 - Can you ask the owner of the note to email it to you?
  20. gazumped's post in unable to sync was marked as the answer
    Hi.
Make sure you're logged into the correct account.
If that's not the issue,  try uninstall / restart / reinstalling the app.
  21. gazumped's post in Update from 10.39.6 fails since uninstall not possible was marked as the answer
Hi. Are you letting the installation software run through the uninstall process,  or have you tried to uninstall 10.39 using your standard OS app?  Try again with Revo Uninstaller Free,  but if it can't find the original installation,  try re-installing 10.39 first and then uninstalling it 'officially'.  Remove everything if you can and then download the current version from Evernote.com and start over.  Good luck with all of that...
  22. gazumped's post in There's no way for me to get a verification code and change my forgotten password. was marked as the answer
Hi.  I assume you're not a Teams user,  though that's the thread that you posted in..  and it might be useful if you quoted the email contents - we may be able to help better.
Buying a subscription isn't required,  but if you can subscribe for a month or two it would solve your problems a lot more quickly - and you have - apparently - been using the service for free for at least 12 years,  so have something like a potential 8GB+ of online storage where your notes are awaiting your attention...
If you have a ticket number from the last email you received,  try responding to that to ask for more help.  If you don't have a ticket number,  make a correct request for help from https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - use the 'continue as a guest' option.
  23. gazumped's post in Drag and Drop files OUT of EN was marked as the answer
Hi.  Evernote already allows drag and drop,  though thanks to Windows clipboard you might have to drag to your desktop first,  then drag from there into another app...
