Where do deleted tasks go?

I can find my completed tasks, they live in the 'completed' section of the tasks view.  If I complete a task, and then click the trash icon to delete it, does anyone know where it goes?  (yes, I looked in the trash).

I'd imagine if you trash a task,  it's gone completely.  Check Settings > Preferences > Tasks to find where the default task storage is,  and maybe check Note History in that note to see older versions??  If you had a task in a specific note,  try History there.  Otherwise - ask Support!

Yes, what @gazumpedsays. Deleted tasks are removed and cannot be recovered other than by restoring note history or similar.
