  1. Hi. Nice idea (for all mobile platforms) but the problem is that while your database(s) are actually stored on your desktop, so all Evernote has to do is switch 'focus' onto the other file, mobiles don't usually have the storage space to keep one database locally, much less two. To switch between them your app has to sign out of one database, then sign into the other, and download the complete search index before you can even look at the content. Even on a fast network connection, that's a coffee-break to complete the change. (We're fond of beverage analogies around here). You can manually log out of one and back into the other of your databases if you choose - making it an app process won't make it happen any faster.
  2. No reaction is normal - Evernote make their own decisions on priorities and don't (usually) comment on anything until it is released.
  3. Because of the limited storage on most mobiles and the possibility of some attachments being multi-MB in size, mobiles will display icons for every file type except images. It is possible to convert a PDF to images if you specifically need to view it, or scan a document to JPG - one page to one mage file. Otherwise a click or tap on the icon will download the PDF file content as required...
  4. ..and Dropbox were starting with a blank slate. Evernote had/ has existing products with millions of users who would all want access...
  5. Hi. Could you recreate those forms using Excel or Word and copy/ paste the resulting table (with variable widths, heights and colors) into a note for future use?
  6. More difficult than it seems, apparently, when you're trying to deliver the same standards across multiple operating systems. First you have to write a common edit module that works, integrate it into your various clients, and sort out any issues that causes; then you can add features like styles. The project has been running for a couple of years I believe - Windows, Android and Mac (I think) all have the new editor, and iOS recently got theirs. Progress is being made...
  7. Please add votes via the arrows at the top left of this page...
  8. Yeah, sorry - I got caught up with that when I found the other thread
  9. Hi. Have you looked at saved searches? It may take you a while to construct a search, but if you can save it for future use that might be a useful investment...
  10. Sorry - no way to do this on any mobile device yet. Watch this space...
  11. ? If your note has a title and you want it to print, that doesn't seem to be a problem. If you don't want the title to print, see discussion so far. EDIT: This discussion seems to be running in two threads - see also https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/99090-how-to-print-the-body-of-a-note-without-printing-the-note-title/
  12. Hey @Austin G - that's a sweet fix. Will the export preserve tags on the original notes? In Evernote Windows Desktop there's a selectable export option to preserve tags, though it defaults to 'off' for some reason. Looks like this gives me an easy option to backup my Databases folder on a regular basis - if I do have problems I can use this process to retrieve the notebook(s) I need without the risk that the newer, corrupted version on the server would overwrite the correct-but-older version from my backup. (Sorry for detouring the thread, but it's a related question... )
  13. Very odd - if you have the problem again, it may be worth syncing your content, then uninstalling / restarting and reinstalling the app. Maybe an update left you with some lingering 'ghost' files or settings that are causing the issue. But meantime - if it ain't broke...
  14. Hmmn. The reason I asked about it was I had some undos to do today and my (latest beta) version was OK with Ctrl-Z.. Can't recommend that you upgrade to the Beta on the offchance, but it's worth raising a support request to get some confirmation that there has been a change...
  15. Hi. Have you tried Ctrl-Z more than once? Sometimes I have to do it a couple of times to get a change back...
  16. the Evernote silence around this, and every other development issue is standard practice. Doesn't mean they haven't heard your request, or that they agree or disagree with the need. Just that they don't (usually) answer questions like this. Ever.
  17. I moved this to generic feature requests so it will collect some (more) votes.
  18. It's easily possible to find all notes shared to others - see above - it's not so easy to find notes shared to a specific person, unless that project notebook was shared to email addresses. If there's a project notebook, try Modify Sharing and remove the email address of the person you wish to lock out...
  19. Hi. I think the most applicable description is 'priorities'. Plus iOS only recently got a new editor to help "consistent formatting across clients" and you can bet that if notes showed up in big fonts on one device but only had small fonts on another, someone, somewhere would complain...
  20. Believe it or not this is the first time I actually used the S Pen in Quick Note, and I love the possibilities! Start Quicknote Hold the S Pen over the title field until you see the "T" menu. Tap the menu with the pen. Handwrite your text (carefully) and see it converted into typed characters. Hold the S Pen over the note body until you see the "T" menu. Tap the menu with the pen. Handwrite your text (carefully) and see it converted into typed characters. Tap 'Done' - get a note.... I didn't realise any of this was possible until now...
  21. Hi. Short answer 'no' - but evaluating why you get the conflicts might help to avoid them - in the scenario that you make some changes on your phone 'off network', what do you do with Evernote and the phone before finding conflicts? Do you just edit the note, close the app, then connect and sync when you're back on the network? Are you seeing these changes on your phone, or on the desktop when you open Evernote there? In that latter situation you'd need to edit the note / close the app. Wait until you're on network again. Open the app on the phone and sync it first. Then close it down again and start the app on your desktop. On comparing notes marked 'conflicting changes' (which I very rarely get) the easy way to compare longer notes is to open both into their own separate windows (on a desktop) and scroll them side by side.
  22. Access to contact support should be available for specific issues - more so if you're a Business user. Do you have an open support ticket? What's the number?
  23. OK: This is a user supported forum so while you get more (or less) useful suggestions from us fellow users, and developers and other employees do read the posts here, you're not establishing a place in the support queue from which to grab Evernote's attention. If you have a problem, contact support. You'll get a ticket number and a direct channel to Evernote. If you're a Basic user you should at least be able to raise a bug report - see comments here: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/51807-best-practices-submitting-a-support-ticket/
  24. Upvotes (at the top left of this page) tend to help add some traction to requests...
  25. Hi. You're missing headings, certainly. There are various add-ins which allow you to format your content more effectively than the Evernote standard, and if you can use Markdown, there are additional apps which might help like Marxico: https://marxi.co/ Evernote is still developing its editing features, so more will be available; but for the moment what you see is all you got.
