  1. Is everyone voting away at the top left here? There are only 14 in favour of this so far.. As is their normal practice, Evernote haven't said whether they're sticking with a limited choice of fonts and font sizes, or will widen out their options when it fits their priorities. Logic would suggest that this IS a fundamental option for any word-based application, but with Evernote this year - who knows. On the bright side, no-one has said this won't happen...
  2. Hi. First advice would be to check via Evernote.com in Settings > Account Summary > Usage to see what the server thinks is going on. Beware if you're already using your account on more than one device - web access now counts as another device, so don't wind up locked out of access because of too many devices being active! You may be aware that EN10 has happened, and at the moment at least it appears Evernote are no longer supporting local notebooks. If / when they decide to withdraw support for earlier versions of Evernote, you'll need to move notebooks online or find another home for those notes. If you've not logged out of or restarted Evernote recently it's worth File > Exiting the app, powering your system down and restarting everything to force a re-handshake with the server. The help pages below might suggest some other steps you could take... Worst case scenario - there's currently a 40% discount deal on subscriptions; upgrade for a month or two to get back in full control and then downgrade again... Let us know how you get on! 3. Hi. Does the current iPad OS play AMR files? Evernote uses the installed audio player for playback. If iPad OS does play AMR files, better to post this comment in the Evernote for iOS release thread where the devs will see it.
  4. Hi. 6.25 is 'legacy' but will upgrade to v10 if you decide to try it. Once updated to v10 you will be able to ADD the 'older version' download referenced above and get back to 6.25 as an additional option. Basically your choice is either NOT to upgrade, or to upgrade, then step back to the older version. Your choice...
  5. The forums have several answers to this query. This is one example. Please search for others...
  6. Hi. Sounds like you have an install conflict of some kind. Sign out of Evernote and uninstall using Revo Uninstaller Free (which will find and remove all traces of any Evernote apps), then restart and reinstall from Evernote.com.
  7. OK: Moved. Whilst this may be possible I still don't see why it's necessary, or that Evernote will wish to invest any time in re-engineering the web client to make this available. This is a feature that cannot, by definition, apply to any other device than a browser, but has to be viable in however many different browser 'flavours' there are at the moment: Firefox / Chrome / Opera etc. If you have Evernote installed on your system it should be easy to set up a new note, through Helper or (if it still works in EN10) clicking a blank template note on your desktop. The only way I see this working from a browser is to add the possibility of adding a note to Clipper - which is a work-around for the time being anyway; use the "add remark" section of Clipper for your narrative, and edit the clip headline to your note subject. It's possible to choose the target notebook, add tags and select a couple of words from the website you're on, or just clip a small screenshot to trigger the save. If this were a separate browser function it has to be vetted by Google and Mozilla and I can see it leading to a lot of lost notes - there's no guarantee that a random independent note can be saved to Evernote's server, you need to authenticate with the server to get access to your account, and what's to prevent anyone else with access to your device saving random notes to your account accidentally or otherwise through a browser extension... TL:DR - As I understand it the request is to add a direct browser or desktop link to create a new note in your Evernote Web account. All those in favour - see top LEFT of this page!!
  8. OK - can you explain a little more why exactly you need this feature? It's normal to open an application before creating a new record.
  9. Hi. No. With Evernote Web you log in, click the "+" sign to create a new note and start typing... Alternatively you could create a document in another app and copy/ paste that content into Evernote, or attach the document file to an Evernote note.
  10. Hi. This may explain the situation - Understanding the device limit
  11. Evernote has a log-in process which occasionally misleads users into creating a new account rather than logging into their original database. Try the sign in via Evernote.com and use the 'lost password' process if you're not sure of the details.
  12. Hi. No. Evernote will show you a list of notes that match one or more keywords. It's not possible to identify links between them. You may be interested in https://infranodus.com/ which can analyse and draw conclusions from Evernote content. See Youtube for a number of videos about that.
  13. Can you explain in more detail what you're trying to accomplish? We can't help you with OneNote syncs, and if you import a OneNote database into Evernote, it'll be stored in whatever format survives the import on Evernote's server and synced to other devices from there...
  14. Hi. Most usual reason for suddenly missing notes is mistakenly creating a new account instead of logging into your own. Try logging out and back in with details you are sure are absolutely correct. There's a forgotten password option on the website which may be useful to try.
  15. I'm also still on Web 5.33 too. I have a Basic test account with only a few notes which gets the latest web interface 10.x, so if that's better for what you need it may be worth using that account for your web work and sharing / exporting notes back to your other account which can only access 5.33. Worth a support ticket too to encourage Evernote to move on this so we can all get the latest version directly...
  16. Hi. It's often suggested that moving between note apps is difficult because any library of previous notes might be in a very different format. Importing could require extensive editing and be very time consuming. OneNote forinstance doesn't use tags, while Evernote doesn't understand multi-page notes. Conversion between the two will always generate anomalies. There are a few options: Leave all 'old' notes in the original app where individual records can be rescued and converted if and when required. This means searching in two places for information, but requires no up front conversion at all. Generate an index of some sort from the old app and import that to the new one. Import all notes, ignoring any errors that crop up. This means searches are all in one place, and if notes need further editing to be brought up to date, that will be limited to active records. As far as importing is concerned, the Legacy version of Evernote desktop should still include an 'import from OneNote' option.
  17. The instructions for loading non-Play Store apps and for deactivating updates for single apps are available online. If only there were somewhere to find the necessary APKs to install... https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/evernote-corporation/evernote/evernote-8-13-3-release/ https://evernote.en.uptodown.com/android/download/2259282
  18. The developers may have been over hasty in not allowing for u-turns in subscriptions, but the answer would appear to be to wait until the account reverts to Basic on the renewal date, then re-upgrade it to Premium... In your protection, Evernote is probably not permitted to arbitrarily reinstate payments without your specific instructions at the time.
  19. @saverio - Websites in Chrome can be set to open in their own sandboxed window - which can have its own shortcut and act like a separate app. I run a couple of apps in this way - it's easier to tab between open windows, and it uses (I think) less resource than one window with tabs. You can also run a Chrome window alongside a Firefox browser. Open the app you want to see in the window Go to the three dots menu > more tools > create shortcut and tick "open as a window"
  20. Hi. You should be able to create and use your own templates... Create your own templates
  21. ?? This is a thread about wanting to stop the stay-awake feature. According to one of the early posts, editing the note will keep it open and the screen live. If that no longer happens, that was by user request... and 34 votes.
  22. Not turning a blind eye, but I am using the last public Windows version (6.25.1) and plan on continuing to do so until I'm advised that the infrastructure for pre-10 will no longer be available. If by that stage v10 is usable I'll gladly upgrade. Until then my current system works for me and I have no incentive to rush out and weather another learning curve.
  23. I also use Evernote with Linux. There's apparently a beta Linux version floating around somewhere - you'd need to apply to Evernote to join their beta testers team to get hold of it. I'm just using the web version - it's easier than futzing with Wine (IMHO).
  24. HI. Immediate work-around suggestion: create multiple notes and merge them later. Meantime: raise a support ticket (turnaround times seem quicker now) because we're a mainly user-supported Forum and unless someone else with the same phone has some relevant comments, we're all guessing at fixes. It never hurts to uninstall / restart / reinstall your app just to make sure it doesn't have some minor glitch, but if the app is otherwise behaving it seems a lot of effort for little return...
