Copy images from notes
gazumped replied to Mike P's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. If it's something you only just noticed that you actually needed, the chances are that the issue (if it still exists) doesn't have a very high priority. According to a couple of commenters here though, it is now quite possible to copy images from a note to another app. If you're having specific problems, full details of your setup and a description of exactly what is being tried and how it fails, will help Support work out whether they need to take a closer look... -
Evernote 10 missing features?
gazumped replied to TheOtherVikram's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. I thought I saw this question asked and answered already... broadly, it depends what you're using Evernote for whether you'll miss any features that you were formerly used to. Since you have access to the new version, why not start using it and see how you get on. If you need to do something and can't find the way to do it in v10 - use your current 6.25 version to do the job. They both access the same database, so you have an ideal chance to try the upgrade out without any risks. If you dislike it, remove v10 and revert to 6.25. (If you create any new features like Tasks, they -obviously- won't be visible in the older version.) -
No clue I'm afraid - you could try another uninstall / reinstall - and make sure you opt to remove your data from the device and restart the computer before reinstalling so you get a completely clean new version. As a free user you have access via only two devices - have you removed your old device yet? Understanding the device limit

Calendar Note Notifications on all calendars
gazumped replied to Scott McLean's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. You need a Professional subscription to get full access I believe - Evernote + Google Calendar Overview -
An 'embedded' file is part of Evernote's note database, not an individual file in it's own right. External apps need a specific file type to open and save in order to make changes to the content, hence downloading the item from the database to an editable file type, making changes, then re-uploading to the database. Google file links are separate links to existing individual files that are already outside or Evernote. By definition, no separate downloads will be necessary.

Hi. No easy way as far as I'm aware. A link from note A to note B will necessarily have some of note A's title or UID as part of the content - so you could presumably track down any possibles with searches; but that would be a note-by-note method and somewhat impractical for more than a few.

I have enough trouble keeping my own tags straight to agree completely - plus a few years ago I managed a workplace Wiki that had a couple of hundred contributors. I gave them direct access - for about a week, then quickly altered it so all additions and changes were subject to approval. Conflicting opinions on spelling, categories and technical terms are an experience you really want to avoid if you can... Having said which: every Teams account is (I believe) accompanied by a user's own personal account - could you use notes / copy notes / links / tables of content in your personal account to customise your access to the business data?

"Unlock document search" pop-up
gazumped replied to CCaesar's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
The suggestion has already been posted several times in other threads - click the 'upgrade' button and view the next web page, but then just close it down. That MAY give you a little respite, but I think Evernote's view is that if you're using their free product often enough that this becomes a nuisance, maybe you should consider subscribing... -
Preference for not automatically linking
gazumped replied to jively's question in General Feature Requests
You appear to be amongst the select group of precisely zero other users who have voted for this feature so far, so to quote myself... "Changing the (this) behaviour is not likely to happen soon, so I think you may have to accept the status quo or find an alternative way to deal with the issue." -
There wasn't 4 years ago (that's how old this thread is...) but AFAIK Evernote Legacy (which I still use daily) is pretty consistent. If a notebook is open onscreen, a new note goes to that notebook. Otherwise a generic new note goes to the default notebook. There are settings in Clipper to enforce this too... I also use Filterize to check for keywords in my new notes and reassign them automatically to different notebooks - no AHK required. And Filterize can add Tags, dates and keywords to new notes as required.

Hi. I have no idea what you're talking about. We're mainly other users here - have you tried Evernote Support??

Hi. Sounds like you updated yourself into a new account. Try signing out and re-try your original user details. Use 'forgot password' if you get the option...

Failing to load all notes in Android
gazumped replied to blackspear2's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Uninstall / restart the phone / reinstall? What versions of Evernote and Android does your phone run? -
Hi. A quick internet search for "unable to start 0xc0000005" got me 120,000+ hits involved with computer errors and recent Windows updates. You may want to work through some of the suggested fixes online to see if you can track your issue down. I don't know why your version of Evernote should apparently be the only application affected - can you use the Web version in the meantime? Sign onto Evernote.com via your web browser.

It's still a private beta, and perhaps they have enough testers already. Your time will come...

Control Which Image Shown in a Note's Thumbnail/Snippet View
gazumped replied to marcelo's question in General Feature Requests
If you can see his picture in the note, convert it to a zip file; if this is a web clip it may be just a link in the HTML code - in which event edit the note so it's mainly plain text and only includes the image(s) that you want. While Evernote may some day include an option to choose the thumbnail, it ain't going to happen until you've forgottem what chocolate chip cookies actually look like. "Work arounds" may save your taste-buds... -
Hi. You've just joined a 2-year old thread about a no-longer-supported product. If this is a new query, it'd be nice to know what browser you're using and whether you've reported this to Support (who are not us). Plus whether you've tried the same process on a desktop of mobile app rather than the browser, and what version of Evernote you have installed.

Stock/Crypto charts that you can embed and annotate
gazumped replied to livekth's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. It's possible to annotate an image or PDF in Evernote, but there's nothing I'm aware of that would allow you to produce a graphic in as much detail as the one you showed. Annotate key info Annotate images and PDFs -
Coming soon
gazumped replied to Sand talk's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
If the company has said 'coming soon', I don't think they've ever defaulted - though typically everyone seems to have different expectations for the final version of any feature, and you can guarantee that 50% of any given audience will be disappointed with the end result. It'll be too restrictive / the wrong size or colour / involve too many keystrokes... And having worked in a development environment I do have some sympathy that while you may intend to deliver a fantastic widget as quickly as possible, something unexpected always comes up to put the first three launch dates back by days / months / years - and sometimes it's stuff totally outside your control. Far better usually to say nothing until the launch happens - but that in itself gets you shouted at for not communicating... it ain't easy being a developer! -
Evernote says... How do I set up an Evernote password while using Sign in with Apple? To set up an Evernote password for your account, go here. Enter either your Apple ID email address or your private relay email address (if you chose to hide your email address). You'll be sent an email to set up a new password. Creating an Evernote password will not affect your Apple ID password. After you've set up an Evernote password, you can sign in to Evernote using the Continue with Apple button or by entering your email address (or private relay email address) and the Evernote password you created.

Short answer - no. You've presumably changed your Evernote password, set up 2FA etc - there are various sites that will list your details as an alert if you have been hacked - https://sec.hpi.de/ilc/?lang=en or https://haveibeenpwned.com/ or https://cybernews.com/personal-data-leak-check/ and https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004395487-What-to-do-if-you-suspect-unauthorized-access-to-your-Evernote-account https://evernote.com/security It's not a good idea to use Evernote as a password manager...
