  1. 2008 i think. I've left and come back a few times. Gotta say that the latest version is pretty nice.
  2. I posted here on the recommendation of another user (gazumped) who suggested that I post in the feature request forum. So it was an intentional double post.
  3. Currently, when you have a due date and you mark a task as done, the due date doesn't update. Instead, completed tasks show that the due date is more and more past due when the task is struck through. This is more of a cosmetic issue, but just looks a little tacky when you look at your list of tasks and see them more and more past due.
  4. OK - this is kind of a dumb annoyance. If you set the due date for a task, even if you complete the task, the "Due X days ago" will show up forever, with X getting bigger and bigger as the task gets further in the past. Even though you completed the task. So, the due date of the task and completion of the task are not connected in anyway. Completed tasks with dates will all end up being overdue at least they will say as much. Does it matter? I don't think so, but it seems like a sloppy implementation. Surely the due date field should be cleared once the task is completed.
  5. These are good suggestions. The filtered note search helps a lot. I think I was getting too precious about having a nicely formatted task note, rather than just letting tasks land where they land and then finding them through search.
  6. Hi all, I am using the tasks function and the dedicated task note. Aside from manually moving and deleting completed tasks, is there anyway to manage these one off tasks that are captured on this note. Even after a few tasks, the page becomes cluttered and messy. For example it would be nice if completed tasks moved to the bottom of the note automatically. As it happens now, they just sit there with a line through them. Also new tasks appear at the end of the note as opposed to the top of the note which would improve readability. Anyhow - I am just looking for anyone's tips or tricks on managing one off tasks (as opposed to tasks that live in project notes). Thanks
  7. I get why it makes sense operationally. But a better solution would be to have shared and non-shared tags. As it stands, evernote teams is a very different product than pure evernote. It's really just another form of google docs where you can have shared drives. I will be using the personal account though as my main account. At my workplace, we're not super restrictive about what we use.
  8. OK I talked to evernote support. Basically because I have a teams account, and I am not an admin for my workplace account, I can create tags but I can't edit them. So essentially although Teams provides lots of nice functionality, tags are utterly useless in teams. Not being able to edit them, rename then, nest them, delete them, makes them a non-feature. It's hard to understand the logic of this. In my free account I can do all these things. As a side note, I left EN a few months ago after years and years of usage because I was just tired of the product. It's this kind of nonsense that reminds me why I left. EN could be so great, but they always seem to trip up at the finish line and do something dumb. Sigh..
  9. Hi there, I've been a long long time user and been on these forums for many years under my personal account. But my work place now has evernote teams - so I am back checking it out for work under a new handle. A problem I am having is I can't edit my tags. I am using the latest desktop version for mac (10.36) but when I try to do anything to my tags, I get no context menu. I can nest, rename or do anything. No little row of dots "..." for me to select. The tags are just there. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong. Basically the only way I can change a tag is to go to a note with the tag in it and delete it. I get the same result when I am on the web version of evernote. Any suggestions?
