All notes missing after forced log out
gazumped replied to BeldVanguard's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. As suggested above - try signing out of the account you are in - which might be a new 'empty' account - and sign in again carefully to try to reach your correct data. If you sign on through the website, there's a forgotten password link which may help. -
WEB SEARCH - WHY DOES THIS NOT EXIST YET???
gazumped replied to ChrisS's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Possibly because no-one has explained the exact feature required, given any sort of justification for the cost involved in developing it, or asked -politely- for it to be included. -
Send To Evernote (Windows 10)
gazumped replied to jdnunn's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
You just joined a 2 - year-old thread. I'd think there would have been more comment if there was still an issue... -
Hi. I think you'd just confuse your share-ee with that general process. I'd suggest you try it out on yourself - switch on the note share URL and use a private browser to access it. Then try the linked notes. There are ways to make a 'home page' out of a note with lots of linked child notes, but they involve quite a lot of effort. As an option, the freemium add-in app Postach.io will convert a normal Evernote notebook into a public website - it involves a small learning curve, but it takes care of all the boring technical stuff for you. As example, I have a sadly neglected set of pages there via Cliffe Actual (postach.io) Good luck with the project - please let us know how you eventually proceed.

newly installed Evernote in Win11 cannot load notes
gazumped replied to mymisc's topic in Evernote General Discussions
I've installed Evernote on Win 11 successfully though from dim memory it did take a LONG time the first run. Can you retry and let it run overnight? -
Spoilers
gazumped replied to Silent1380's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
Please explain to us technologically challenged other users over here - what is a spoiler? I'm not familiar with the term. From what you say I'd think anything you want to highlight or protect could be placed on the Home page in v10, but I'm just guessing here.... Home Overview -
Evernote Causing Google Chrome to Freeze/Crash
gazumped replied to User141's topic in Evernote General Discussions
...Although it might just be the long notes... How big are we talking when you say 'long' - I have 60,000 notes of various sizes but have no problem in opening them in Chrome or Edge (now also Chrome) in Windows 10 or 11. Maybe a short term work around might be: break up long notes into shorter sections held together with tags / titles / or notebooks? -
Notes won't export to PDF
gazumped replied to julyw139's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. How big is your note, and does it contain attachments? Have you tried to print it to PDF rather than export? -
Hi. That would appear to be what the Home feature is for. You can select any one or any number (within reason) of notes or notebooks to show on that page when you open the app. Home Overview

Is Evernote and Livescribe seamless?
gazumped replied to ENUser_04's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Not seen much comment about livescribe in the forums, though you could try the search feature. Some members use GoodNotes from which you could export a note or notebook complete with full OCR and search ability, as a pdf. It's possible to continue annotating it in Evernote, but to make changes, you'd have to go back to GoodNotes. Worthy of mention - also see Nebo.app & LectureNote -
The Wonderwheel basic log in format pts
gazumped replied to Dumbfounded's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Want to try again? Device / OS / EN version / issue details would be nice... -
There is a 'legacy' old version which you can install to run instead of the new version. I have no idea what excitements you might encounter in doing a free-hand restore of old systems. You might want to try this first... install and use; if you close this version down you can then use v10 if you want any of the new features. Do not use both at the same time, or the excitements may return... Install an older version of Evernote

Hi. We're a (mainly) user-based Forum, so you'd be better off asking Support for assistance. When you do, please tell them your device(s), OS and Evernote version(s). AFAIK this is an ongoing bug in Evernote's system and short term the only action available if to create a notebook you can 'hide' in some remote part of your account and add these notes to it.

Firewall blocking attachments?
gazumped replied to Russ M's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
I can see a possible link between these two.. Plus: what are your attachments? images / documents / audio? What size? and are you a free or a paid user? -
Hi. Please confirm your device, OS, Evernote account type and version.

Nesting Multiple Notebooks / Creating Sub-Notebooks
gazumped replied to cswsteve's question in General Feature Requests
Hi. You may want to delete your email address from the registration here - it's a public forum and someone, somewhere is going to add you to a spam list. This is a (mainly) user forum, so shouting at us won't get you anything. It's most definitely not a democracy - users can request features, but Evernote decides what it is most inclined to add. If the company makes bad choices, you do have the option of using other software. You do not have the right to "demand" anything... -
Weird notes appear every day.
gazumped replied to Duckpuddle's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. If you did instruct a random app to send files to Evernote and gave away the email address you can easily fix that by changing the Evernote address for your account. See Find your Evernote email address for more on that. If you have connected a service to your account it is possible to find the details of any third party service access with https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action - you can de-authorise links from here. If you can work out which app the files are related to this could help disconnect whatever is going on her. If you can do so, please contact Support for their assistance! -
Evernote Causing Google Chrome to Freeze/Crash
gazumped replied to User141's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Long notes bad; shorter notes better... Maybe split your long note into sections and link together with a Table of Contents note?
