  1. HI. You posted this in 'possible bugs' rather than feature requests, and I can confirm that the same applies in Windows as well as Macs - Tasks do not want to sit in tables. (I'm guessing that's a coding issue - tables are presumably HTML where Tasks are... different.) So this is not a bug it is (currently) a design choice - if you'd like this thread moved to a general Feature Request forum where others can show support by voting on it, I can do that for you. Meantime this seems a 'nice to have' apparently affecting your and my workflows - not much incentive for Evernote to use up resources to make it better. Can't see the situation changing anytime soon so workarounds R us. I just split my tables into lots of single rows and paste the related task below the relevant row. Works for me...
  2. Hi. Device, OS, Evernote version and screenshot please?
  3. First clue - don't add your request to a random post on another subject: start your own thread! And when you do, please tell us what device you use, what OS and Evernote version, and why you'd want to print out something that's perfectly available to you anywhere you can open Evernote...
  4. All fair points - Evernote doesn't handle large notes well - I tend to keep my 'large' content split between a table of content note and lots of smaller notes. If you're a subscriber, have you reported this to Support for their comment?
  5. Well, you're posting 2 years after the last comment here, so it may be that things are generally working for most people. If that's not the case for you, then maybe you need to look into your connection or processes. Full disclosure - I had a conflicting note earlier to day (my first for some time) - seems I synced several pictures from one recent unboxing into one note via my Android, then added another two a little later. Meantime I opened the first version of the note (minus the extra images) and resized and sorted the images there. By the time the Android caught up with the syncing, I had another copy of the original note (without my edits) but with the extra two images. So I copied the new images to the original note and deleted the conflicting note. Took me all of 2 minutes to resolve the issue, and it was entirely down to Android taking a little while to sync it's changes. Don't see how Evernote could help with any of that...
  6. The mantra around here is - "whatever works for you..." If you like Obsidian and want to use it, then obviously you should do so. I'm in my first year of trying out Professional (though about 15 years into running Evernote), and it's worth it to me to continue. YM, may indeed vary.
  7. I may have missed a memo, but the Web version will merge notes - I don't have my Android handy at the moment but I think that will too... Which versions of Evernote are you using?
  8. There are Feature Request forums where this sort of thing can be voted on - so far (AFAIK) no-one's even bothered to start a thread to add support for this feature. Evernote will be aware of the request, but anything not already in development is probably going to be in limbo until the merger/ takeover/ partnership with Bending Spoons is resolved next year... Don't expect results anytime soon.
  9. Hi. That seems to be a generic pricing advisory, not what you personally would be charged next year. But if it is, ad you decide that $5 per month is way too much to pay for access to Support and much higher storage limits, then I can only sympathise. Hope you're happy with your next choice of note-taking functionality.
  10. Doesn't appear to be a problem for me in Windows, but when Support are back on duty in a few days it would be worth raising this issue with them if you can...
  11. Hi. We need information to make suggestions - Device? OS? Evernote version? In general: AFAIK there has never been a case where notes magically disappeared from an account. Have you checked the web version? Searched for keywords in the missing notes? Checked that you're logged into the right account? Checked the Trash notebook for possible deletions? Please give us a full explanation of what happened, and maybe we can help.
  12. Hi. We're a (mainly) user-supported forum. If you want to feed back to Evernote I'd suggest a Support ticket (if you're a subscriber) or the Feedback link in most apps. For what it's worth I totally agree with you - speed and efficiency is far more important to users than being able to use some of the new features!
  13. Hmmn. So it wasn't the easy answer! As to whether you can share by email without needing an Evernote account, I'd recommend you try it yourself if you have a spare email address. If not, search the interweb for "temporary email address" - there are lots of options. My point here is that while its possible to open a share without an Evernote account, the route to doing may not be exactly obvious. Depending on the computer skills of your share-ee it might be better to use the public URL of your note (also available under the 'share' button) as a link in a normal email. (Despite the term 'public', the note content is only findable if you know the URL.) See Share a note via public link for more. Pro tip - whenever you share a note or notebook, add or copy it to a Stack called "shared with others" or something similar. It will remind you not to mess with those notes, and means you can find and kill shares when you need to. If you might share lots of notes, take a look at the free(ish) Postach.io - third party software that will turn a notebook in your account into a public blog. This is my (rather old) play with that... Cliffe Actual (postach.io)
  14. Sadly that's not available in Evernote - yet - and the current supporting vote of 2 in favour doesn't seem like it's in particularly heavy demand from other users. The request has been made - we'll have to wait and see whether Evernote decides to do something about it. Meantime there's work-arounds. (By the way I sometimes collect multiple sections from one web page - I clip 'selection' to separate notes, then merge the notes. That will usually include the page URL)
  15. Two benefits of actually subscribing - access to Evernote Support, and via multiple devices. However the mantra here is generally: "whatever works for you", and if Evernote doesn't - good luck with Zoho!
  16. Well bless my soul - you're eactly right. Guess I must've missed a memo somewhere! Thanks guys. I can work around this now...
  17. We'll try to live down to your expectations, but an earlier post did give you some pointers - you could try a different browser just to make sure your issues are Firefox related, and if they are: try creating a new profile in Firefox to check whether your preferred extensions are conflicting with Evernote check any VPN / malware apps to ensure there's no blockage there check your connection speed, and leave plenty of time for Evernote to load - there's a lot of housekeeping in a first time boot-up (which this will be on a new profile) check for other users on the same network - are there other downloads going on? And who knows - if you really want to fix your issue... try raising this with Support (if you're a subscriber) because they can check under the hood to see what your connection is doing from their end. If other people can connect with Firefox, this is a 'you' problem, not an Evernote issue. You could also try the downloaded and installed app via Evernote.com - which has a few more bells and whistles than the browser version and isn't dependent on the browser architecture to work.
  18. So you just thought you'd share your departure? Kind, but -trust me- not necessary. Have a nice holiday. Goodbye.
  19. Hi. Create a note from the template and export it as an ENEX file?
  20. Hi. You're posting in the Legacy forums for Evernote 8.13, which is no longer supported. If your device runs Android 10 - have you tried the new Evernote v10 app?
  21. Hi. There's some general advice here - What to do if you suspect unauthorized access to your Evernote account. It's unlikely you'd be able to find out exactly what generated your recent experience - best reaction is (as you already have) to make sure your protections are up to date.
  22. Hi. As it happens, there's existing help for this sort of thing... What to do if you suspect unauthorized access to your Evernote account
