  1. Device / OS / browser / Evernote version?
  2. I did not mean to question the validity your reaction to the changes - just to point out, as @agsteele just did that, for better or (apparently) worse, the point here is that changes have been made. We've had the new v10 for a couple of years now, during which period it has improved out of all recognition through nearly 100 updates. A new owner only acquired the company this year, and is probably still getting to grips with the details. And as an experienced engineer I'm sure you appreciate that with an app that is in use by hundreds of millions of users on a 365/24/7 basis, Evernote has thousands of requests to process and -probably- a couple of years' worth of work already scheduled. Even 'simple' requests have a long gestation time.
  3. Hmmn. I don't have that line in my release notes, or a More Settings option - though I updated to 10.58.8 now and it just offers "more printing functionality". I see that I can change the Ctrl+P combination or disable it - but in this context I assume that just means the key combination doesn't work, but selcting 'print' does - and that involves the new Preview process. I'd suggest you raise this directly with both Evernote and FinePrint - it's in their joint interest to figure something out. Note: These Forums are mainly user 2 user but subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and all users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or via the feedback option where it is available).
  4. ...And none of it is especially relevant to this thread. The main issue (IMHO) is that the legacy app is now deprecated. No maintenance, no upgrades, no support. v10 is very different and may lack features such as those you list. But unless you start to use v10 and feedback individual issues to Evernote as they arise, there will - within the next several months - be a time when your OS or browser will update to a point that legacy will no longer run correctly, or Evernote will develop some new feature that will effectively lock out legacy users. Your carefully structured notes will only be available in v10. Better, I would argue, to be on board now and try to improve any deficiencies that you find, rather than continue as before and then crash out unexpectedly.
  5. Hi. Seriously? It costs Microsoft nothing to let you download Office 365, but they're not giving it away for free either... and Evernote providing a service to v10 users whilst still making as much of it as possible available to legacy users requires a lot of additional coding, not to mention the free cloud storage, frequent syncing and general resource usage. If Evernote didn't have to bend over backwards to maintain access, they'd be able to apply more resources to improving v10. Feed back your reservations to Evernote all you want*, and by all means find and download a version of the older app. But sometime in the next several months either your browser or OS will upgrade and the app will stop working, or Evernote will, finally, change their processes enough to close off access from the older software versions. *This forum is mainly supported by other users. 6. Hi. Usually caused by a small mistake in login details inadvertently creating a new account. Try logging out and back in again - carefully. If you're a subscriber and do want to contact Support - go ahead. The message only refers to Chat contact, not email requests.
  7. That message is definitely from the Legacy version of Evernote which must also be installed on your system. I'd suggest you uninstall Evernote from your system, and restart your device; then download the latest version from Evernote.com (now 10.58.8) and re-install. When you log in it will download your notes from the server, which can take some time. Afterward you should be able to see Tasks without further issues.
  8. Hi. We're mainly users here - best to raise a support query here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new if you're a subscriber or here if not https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or via the feedback option where it is available).
  9. Hi. We're mainly other users here, so I'd suggest you contact Support* - I have no idea what they consider to be "too many SMS" but I see the password was changed 4 days ago, so maybe if you have received several messages that triggered the warning. * Subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and all users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or via the feedback option where it is available).
  10. Hi. We already had a query about issues with the shortcuts on Polish language keyboards. Some shortcuts can be changed, but you would need to contact Evernote Support to get more assistance on this. The forums are supported mainly by other users.
  11. Hi. If you wish to transfer to the Evernote.com version of the app, please simply download it from the website and log in using your existing user details. If you're using Evernote correctly, all your notes are saved on the server. All you need to do on any device is to log into your account to see them. You can either continue your subscription via the App store or pay Evernote direct. The App Store does not share accounting with Evernote. AFAIK it's not possible to 'transfer' the account - you'd need to cancel your subscription with the App store and allow the account to revert to 'free', and then pay Evernote directly to upgrade back to your current level. Note that 'Plus' and 'Premium' accounts are no longer available - if those subscriptions lapse you'll rejoin as a Personal or Professional subscriber.
  12. Hi. It would help us to have details of your device / OS / Evernote version, and if you have any urgent need to use the app, you might consider subscribing - if only for a month - to get immediate access to your account, and to Evernote support. The forums are mainly supported by other users, and we don't have any access to look at the server-side details of your account to see what might be wrong. Chances are that although you know you're only using one device, Evernote has different information: if you can get access to the account you could check online to see if that is the case... Understanding the device limit
  13. Windows 7 & 8 users are coming up against similar problems - Microsoft is no longer supporting them with security upgrades, and some applications will no longer work on those platforms. There's no right to access here - what you have are all the subscriber benefits of the currently supported application. Evernote have, as a courtesy, left it open for a couple of years now for people on Legacy to conrinue using that service, with all original features still compatible with it. But it's becoming harder for them to maintain that compatibility with time, and eventually it will stop. I got to this with a web search for the version number and my OS... Meantime Evernote is not limiting third party websites - any access issues are down to your browser or your network...
  14. There's now a new version of Evernote which may have cured this - please update!
  15. Just for information - I don't like long notes. Too much information in one place is an invitation for disaster - lost or corrupted data, deleted notes etc. etc. I hope there's a robust backup situation to avoid that. However the tasks tab (on a desktop at least) is a list of all tasks, wherever they are in a note. I created a long note, buried three tasks in my Lorem Ipsum text - all tagged with a common title like today's date - and then went to my tasks tab (sorted by title). I can deal with the tasks from there without needing the note detail, or I could click on "go to note" to get context.
  16. Hi. Can you explain in more detail what it is that you are disabling/ need to disable? I mostly hit Ctrl+P and <return> since 'print' is already selected in the preview pop-up...
  17. Just to note: (pun intended...) it is possible to export entire notebooks - just go to the Notebooks tab and click the 3-dots menu on the right.
  18. Hi. What version of Evernote are you using and how do you sync before closing? Plus if you were working in a shared notebook, were you the owner of the notebook or an invited user?
  19. Unless I moved the decimal point too far that means you have 12.5% space free. See comments above...

  21. ? Maybe keep that note in a document file? (Libre Office / Word / Excel / Notepad... whatever) so it saves to your local drive. Attach the file to your note to access it elsewhere, but re-open it in the local app again to add / edit content. Don't know how fast Evernote syncs now, but if you're zipping from one app to another and making notes along the way, seems to me you may be pushing sync close to the available edge of your network connection...
  22. <coughs meaningfully in the background....>
  23. ...And please don't post the same query twice. https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/146349-10585-release-notes/?do=findComment&comment=687635
