Hi. Device / OS / Evernote version / browser / screenshots or some real estimate of timescales? "Way too long" and "noticeable jump" don't really cut it. Also - have you notified Aupport you're having these issues/
-
Hi. That has been requested before. Closest you can come is to use the built in password / encryption in most word processor / spreadsheet apps and attach a protected file to your notes. All devices have their own access locks of course, plus Evernote has its user ID system and 2FA access.

Is there any issues with Evernote Teams now?
gazumped replied to bensonkoh's topic in Evernote Teams Technical Issues
Hi. We're mostly users here - and relatively few run Teams. Your account Admin should have some Support contacts they can approach, otherwise use https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new. Sounds like Evernote think your subscription may have failed - you could check with wherever the payment comes from to make sure it went through. -
Nope - 10.58.8 is available at Evernote.com if you would like to download it. With hundreds of millions of users, Evernote issues automatic updates in Stages. In your case I'm not sure - could you screenshot the notice when/ if it next appears for you? In general - it's always best to keep up with the latest features and security protections. 58.8 forinstance (for me, anyway) has eliminated some delays and spinning arrows. You don't normally get an alert for an update unless one is available - but in most cases (I think) you should be able to ignore it for a while if you don;t want to be interrupted.

Hi. Have you reported your issues to Support? And - just to confirm - are you using Evernote 10.58 now? -

Do you have a ticket number? We may be able to get an Admin here to look into it... -
Desktop login issues after upgrade
gazumped replied to Önniö's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. Windows 7 and 8 are no longer supported by Microsoft and accordingly other packages have withdrawn access - including Electron which is the base code for Evernote. Your only access from this point will be either to downgrade to Evernote Legacy - which is no longer supported by the company and may stop working in the next few months - or to sign in via Evernote.com which will give you almost complete access in the browser. -
While Legacy is no longer supported - so no help from Evernote regarding syncs, other than probably "update to v10" - I'm confident that they would have issued a notice to all users (or at least those with Legacy still active) to give advance warning and then final notice that Legacy products have officially reached end of life. I still have a Win 10 laptop running Legacy which still seems to be syncing, so I'd suggest that patience, and maybe a restart or two will eventually solve any issues. There's also more help here Tips for troubleshooting syncing issues

That's usually a VERY bad idea. The app should work seamlessly if you installed it and use it correctly. There are updates, but usually no more than every couple of weeks. If you click on 'new note', you should get a new blank note within a few seconds. If that's not happening, you need help or a different app!

Suddenly missing many attachments from notes
gazumped replied to Jordan Thompson's topic in Evernote General Discussions
I almost felt guilty when joining a conversation recently about local backups - I've been copying my whole account to local files for more than 15 years, and I've never had to use that backup to recover lost data. It seemed like a pointless exercise - that I still wanted to do, but I was apologetic about it. Another contributor, who was a bike rider, pointed out that despite being a seasoned rider, they always wore a helmet... "because you never know". So - avoid tenterhooks; use backups. You probably will never use them, but... -
If you've updated recently, hopefully you're using v10.58 which is working fine for me (but on Win 11). You should not have to reinstall to create a new note. If you click on the big green button to create a new note, what options do you see? (And no, you don't get to downgrade to an older v10 - it would just upgrade again to the latest version.)

Migrating from Evernote to OneNote
gazumped replied to hsavage7's topic in Evernote General Discussions
If you gave payment information - card or bank details - visit https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action in a browser and remove your details so payment can't be taken. After the trial expires your account will automatically revert to the free version. -
Suddenly missing many attachments from notes
gazumped replied to Jordan Thompson's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Subscribing - even if only for a month - gets you access to previous versions of your notes which are backed up several times during the day for everyone, though the full history feature is only available to subscribers. It's also possible - and advisable - to export notebooks to locally backed up ENEX files in case of data loss, though in 15 years of using the app I've not been aware of any issues that weren't my own fault... -
Importing Notes from EXB
gazumped replied to MartianMambo's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 6.25.1 and under)
It should be possible to EXPORT FROM the EXB file to separate ENEX files, as explained in the second post in this thread. You can then import from the ENEX files to create new notes. -
You could try refreshing your database - Go to sign out and tick "remove my data" sign back into Evernote and allow the server to rebuild your local setup. Or you could go the whole way... Go to sign out and tick "remove my data" Use Revo Uninstaller Free to 'nuke' Evernote and any related system files Restart your computer to clear any temporary caches Re-download and reinstall the latest Evernote app NB this will take a little while depending on the size of your account, and the speed of your connection: don't do it when you're in a hurry! (I find coffee helps too...)

Evernote does not load
gazumped replied to Mark West Coast's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. Windows 8 is no longer supported by either Microsoft or -more recently- Electron (which is the base code for Evernote). v10 will no longer work with that OS. Your basic choices appear to be: Downgrade to Legacy (does not offer the same functionality and may itself stop working within months or years) Use the web version - very similar functions to desktop but some restrictions including no offline access Upgrade your OS
