Hi. You're correct that the usual issue is a corrupted note. Moving 6000 notes into smaller notebooks in 100-shot batches is annoying, but on a desktop it is doable with repeated find / select all / move commands, and if you split the big notebook into smaller pieces and check each piece, once you've found the batch with the errored note it should be safe to try the rest in one go. All the ENEX files can be imported back together later. Support seems to have its act a little more together now, so they may also be an option... as you may know we're mostly other users here.

Evernote vs Evernote Legacy - resource usage.
gazumped replied to Tom_T's topic in Evernote General Discussions
You have 21 Evernote processes running. I have 8. Maybe a restart and a good deal more information about your system might help us help you? -
New year offer discount is not work. Why?
gazumped replied to JohnDill's topic in Evernote General Discussions
The discounts apply to new subscribers only. -
Hi. You won't lose notes, but you might lose access for a couple of weeks until you're able to change access to the new device... go to this link when you can and delete all devices except for the one you need... https://www.evernote.com/Devices.action

How to save notes copied from web in HTML format?
gazumped replied to Lorenzo.sauro's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. You saved a note (how?) in HTML (where?) and want to do it again - from where? And you're note able to - what (in detail) happens when you try/ -
Hi. Mainly other users here, no developers. Better to contact Evernote Support on this...

Hi. Device? Windows & Evernote version numbers? We're not Evernote - mostly other users here - so if you have some issues you'd be better off contacting Support. But it mainly sounds like you're operating a new v10 install that hasn't yet had time to create a proper local structure. If you're still having issues, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling as a start.

Evernote Legacy Mac doesn't use EXB format (AFAIK) - notes are saved individually on the local hard drive and should (I think) be recoverable from there. I don't know what v10 would do with Legacy Mac - on Windows it certainly used to offer the option to convert files. AFAIK Evernote will allow you to log in and export notes to ENEX / HTML / PDF provided you are using only two devices connected to the account...

I removed a snipe post here...

Hi. Always helpful to confirm your Device and OS / Evernote versions... First reaction - you can't see or access your notes without logging in, so that's the first issue to solve. Some competitors have Evernote imports, but again you need to log in - otherwise it's exporting via the desktop version to ENEX, HTML or PDF.

Which is perfectly fine - I'm only another user anyway.

It makes commercial sense for Evernote to reduce the cost for Basic users and former subscribers in their next subscription so the company minimises its revenue losses - and as a concession to users who found the increase in costs too much to swallow. It would make no sense to offer a discount to all users and reduce the company's income by up to 50% across the board when they're trying to make the operation more viable. If the emails annoy you, the usual options apply - Vent -preferably to Evernote, by feedback or Support Filter Evernote emails to avoid being troubled by too many offers Move to a different provider Please try not to snipe other users in any discussion.

Ahh sorry - you can feed it back to Evernote via the Support link in the Android app. It's unlikely you'll get any comeback, but they will at least know about it in a more timely way than by an employee reading through the forums... -
how to contact Evernote support?
gazumped replied to SteveMiami's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. The fix is here - To fix occasional errors with installs or updates on laptops or desktops - plus issues with speed or lag or corrupted data. 1 - Make sure your notes are synced up to date 2 - Exit Evernote (if you can) / delete data from device 3 - Uninstall app with Appcleaner (Mac) or Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) 4 - Power device off / allow 10 seconds / power back on 5 - Download latest Evernote from Evernote.com 6 - Reinstall. It will take a little while for the app to be fully operational Additional Checks: Verify Evernote's Hardware Acceleration is set to ON - go to Tools > Settings > Preferences > Application and scroll to the bottom. The "hardware acceleration disabled" box should be UNticked, but if you're having issues change that setting and restart the device. (Come back and change it again if that doesn't help!) If you have any issues deleting Evernote data, see: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500004231762-Remove-Evernote-data-from-your-Mac-or-Windows-device Support here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new -

Yup - definitely the applicable technical term; hate to say it, but maybe report this to Support if/ when you have time? I wouldn't expect an early response(!), but it might help avoid a repeat in future... Evernote were playing games with the servers last year, so maybe this is just fallout from something similar now. -
Any plans to rectify Evernote's Godawful UI?

Same on Windows too... -

Hmmn. Is this an especially large note, or one that has lots of images? -
If some update glitch caused a random error on your system there's no way for a developer to anticipate the outcome and build in a safety net. As a computer user you have to be aware of what is normal for your system, and take action when remedial steps need to be applied. You could report this to Support with copy activity logs so they can investigate, but it's going to take a while from all current reports...
