I don't know how Evernote will deal with monthly paid plans - we're mostly other users here Evernote exports to ENEX or HTML files and will export or print to PDF. There's no support for tags or indexing the resulting files though.

The usual reason is a user logging in with the wrong credentials and accidentally creating a new account - maybe try the 'forgot password' link at Evernote.com?

Emptied Trash? Only one other notebook?

I make it about 3 working days from 29 December until now. Support were already very busy before the holidays. It may also take them a little while to work out what happened with your subscription. I'm sure you will hear from them as soon as possible, but it may take several days.

Hi. If you do not subscribe and can't create new notes, despite having less than 50 in total, have you cleared out the Trash and do you otherwise have only one Notebook?

Hi. I believe Evernote has discounts available up to 40% in the first year. There are many free and low-cost note takers around if that's all you need - but Evernote clearly felt that their full range of features required a much higher price tag, and were not prepared to spend more money on the off chance that free users - many of whom had been users for years - would convert. Cheaper to price them out and - maybe - add more price options later...
