  1. Right now there is no way to hide completed tasks within a note. Hopefully that is something we can do soon. I have either been deleting completed tasks or moving them to another note to clean the visual clutter up.
  2. Open up the task slide over (choose tasks early access on left menu) and in the upper right select the three dots for the following menu
  3. True. I agree with you that a middle ground subscription would be a great offering. I’m sure there is data to back up not offering it though. And I’ve been wondering how hard coding a mid level tier is with feature sets as well - probably another factor that goes with cost. I had been on Plus since the last price increase until about a month ago. v10 is at a point that works well for me, the new tasks, home customization, and a couple little things finally pushed me back into Premium. While I agree that $70/yr is a stiff subscription cost - with how much I use EN and what I use it for the cost is worth it.
  4. You basically just described the old plan layout with the Plus plan as the $35/middle tier. Doubtful another tier comes back after they took it away in what, 2018?
  5. I’ve been wondering the same thing since the beta. Honestly, Tasks was enough to finally push me from Plus to Premium again. And I also assume Premium users will have full access. Plus users might have some access that basic users do it have, though maybe not if Home is an example.
  6. I have found the best way to do subtasks is to create a new task note and not use the default task note. With this method the tasks within the note would be considered subtasks. Not optimal as there is then no due date or anything on the "container" task(I like to set weekly check-in's for parent tasks). But it works well - I have a few task notes set up with various "sub-tasks" in each note.
  7. Did you update to most recent app through the app store? EN is rolling updates out so you might not have it yet. I am not sure about Android, but it appeared in my iOS app after I updated the other day.
  8. Not sure what you mean here. I have a couple of task filters set as saved searches. You can set multiple filters and then save the filters as a saved search - at least on iOS. The * doesn’t work to well for tasks as there is no search syntax yet, unless that changed with Early Access
  9. Using the filter options you can created saved searches. But at the end of the beta there was not task specific syntax for searching.
  10. Runs smooth on my 12 Pro. It would run great on the 12 also. Honestly not sure what the minimum iPhone would be to run it smooth though. Some others can chime in with what they use.
  11. Curious how it’s blocking things for you and on what device? I’ve not had it block anything and is just a + until I touch it on any device. screenshot?
  12. this was a very welcome change and addition for sure!
  13. This is a frustration - would be nice if it pulled up ALL tags with a match to characters.
  14. The thread is about the latest release - see thread title. We had a side bar about search. Honestly no reason to be so snippy to another user at all.
  15. I tried Bear out on iOS and Mac a year or so ago and could not stand using markdown for formatting. I did not like seeing the syntax within my notes and much prefer the wysiwyg Evernote Editor. I think @Metrodonhas it correct in that more folks have no clue what markdown is (I did not till trying Bear out) and would find it a cluttering mess in their notes. The few markdown'ish style shortcuts that EN has implemented (#, ##, ### for headings is what I am thinking of) are great - though I do not think more are needed.
  16. Yes - sorta.... I use EN for both personal and work. The majority of personal stuff is done through the iOS apps with my iPad doing most of the heavy lifting there. I could easily get away with just the browser as well for personal on a computer. Most of work stuff is done through mac app - I have it open and reference multiple times during the workday. I could probably get away with using the browser only for work, but it is much easier to have a stand alone app for it.
  17. I would like this setting very much. Though I suppose one way to do this is tag all child tags with the parent tag as well - something I have not done yet myself.
  18. What is not serious to you could very well be serious to others. Super easy to dismiss someone else’s concerns when they don’t line up with yours. The placement of tags is one such issue it seems - and I’m sure there are others. Be careful of how you dismiss people out of hand. I have no care in this because top or bottom of a note they are still accessible.
  19. This is what I have been doing - especially since ScannerPro OCR got so much better with v8. But I am finding it struggles with some things lately and has me questioning it. And I wonder about the ability of EN to find text within OCR'd documents from other sources.
  20. I use my iPhone to scan everything with the app ScannerPro. I am reevaluating if I should be doing images or pdf's for getting documents into EN. I am wondering what other folks do - pdf or image for attachments? Do you use the build in scanner with EN? Another app? And why you might use that option?
  21. On my iPhone I just tried with three nested tags and got full search results for two and nothing for another. I checked the number of notes tagged with specific tags web version and MacOS version is how I checked if search results matched. Using tag:xxxx for a nested tag which includes online notes only. Trying tag:xxx_xxxx using underscore for spacing comes full results Then using tag:xxxx xxxx (tag includes a space) nothing came back and tag was not found. Makes me wonder if having a space in the tag name is the problem for me I then tried just a text search multiple times and got same number of matches in all locations. @iceman melb I would open up a support ticket and provide the screencasts.
  22. Something is wrong then. Just tested on my iPhone and from being in another note and having to exit that note before creating a new note took 4 seconds until I could start typing something. Even though I have been with EN for more than 10 years I have found myself using v10 more than any legacy version. Overall a big improvement to me - honestly not sure there are any downside to my workflow since around 10.4 or so. I know everyone uses EN differently, but for me v10 is great.
