  1. I have a few notes that are stuck on importing. They have been importing for more than a day and a few hours on my iPhone running latest iOS 14.1They each shared through the safari share sheet to en. One was a webpage, one a screenshot, and another a PDF. anyone else running into this?
  2. I have been a user for 10 years and paying for Premium or Plus pretty much the whole time. Not what some would consider a power user, but I have some set workflows that still are working just fine for the most part. I am leaning towards liking this new app and see it is a positive direction. Both the Mac and iOS versions. Are there hiccups? Yep. Can you use legacy? On Mac, yep! I am going to be patient and see how things shake out. But again I think it is making steps in the right direction. Maybe some more beta testing would have been better though. I am hopeful that they resolve the outstanding issues quickly since they have a unified backend now. One thing that does concern me is how the CEO downplayed the importance on tags. They play suck a vital role in EN and are a huge differentiation from other apps. I have a hard time believing so few folks use them and wonder what % of PAYING customers use them. Of course tags were (and still Lina are) a mess on mobile platform so maybe it shouldn’t be too surprising.
  3. I have same thing posted here maybe we can get these merged into a single thread/request
  4. I tried signing in with Apple and was unable to use it. Also had a problem with Note disappearing from both iPhone and iPad.
  5. Yep notebook, not folder. I only have a handful of notebooks, but work mainly in 1 or 2 of them. The rest are file cabinet types. Adding the option to select which notebook you open up to would be nice. You should also be able to keep all notes as an option.
  6. It would be nice if in the iOS app we could specify what folder notebook the app opened up to. Right now every time it opens it goes right to all notes. I don’t want to see all of my notes when I open up the app. Just would like to go the default notebook - or another of my choosing. sorry if I missed this request being posted elsewhere
  7. Thanks. I did notice that internal links opened up the web app in this new Mac app....kinda sucky. But glad to see it is on the near future road map, hopefully near future....
  8. What is the difference between Classic Note Links and note links?
  9. This. If the tab cold just go away when there are no reminders.
  10. So I am guessing since you moved it there is no way to hide the reminder “tab”. And here I thought EN was done trying to be things it’s not. Please provide a way to hide the reminders “tab”. A simple toggle in settings will do nicely.
  11. I do not see a way to turn the reminders “tab” off. Is there a way that I am missing? Don’t use Evernote for any reminders and no reason for it to be there. One of the last posts mentions that the tab is only shown when you have reminders. Turns out after some digging I found notes from many many years ago that had reminders on them. Once reminders are deleted that tab goes away. So this is actually already done .
  12. Are you able to search for terms within PDFs on iOS and find notes though? It has been a couple of years since I downgraded to plus and I do not recall if I could or not.
  13. Which is one of the two reasons I started doing OCR myself. It would be nice if that transferred over to the iOS app. But I am wondering if
  14. I have been using the iOS app Scanner Pro for OCR the last couple of years. Has worked just fine after switching from premium to plus a couple of years ago.
  15. Yea. I had premium for years and switched to plus a year ago or so. Was always able to search within PDFs that I OCR’d, just not a few recent ones it seems. Maybe it is the backlog DTLow mentioned. Well I tested on my iPad this morning and the test note did not come up. Just loaded up MacBook and tested search and the test note came up (so you can search within PDFs you OCR). So then I tried on my iPhone and the note did not come up (this was 30 seconds after note came up on my MacBook). This makes me wonder what the difference is for searching notes and why it will find a note on my MacBook, but not an iOS device.....
  16. I could have sworn that in the past Evernote would search within PDFs that were OCR’d for plus users? Has this changed recently? I have a few PDFs that I can search through spotlight so I know they are searchable, it EN does not find them on the Mac app or iOS app.
  17. The credit comment was directed at previous poster who mentioned paying it over time.......nothing to do with Evernote or blaming Evernote - not sure where you got that from? And yes all versions are suitable for personal use and I have used all versions personally. Nothing in Evernote is offensive to me (though I some how offended you?) - just think a stripped down version without Work Chat, Business Card Scan, Presentations, Multiple Accounts would be nice. Again all business features removed from an offering. I am thinking about what Premium used to be before the BTB focus started. And again none of these are offensive or in the way of how I currently use EN.
  18. You are right that the premium subscription is not that much if you take into account only Evernote. However, I am willing to bet that most folks have a few different monthly services at a premium level and the costs for all of them add up to a bit more than a couple of coffees. It is about prioritizing services and how much you are willing to pay for a service. Also putting Evernote on a credit card and paying it over time = paying interest charges and it makes it even more expensive......... If we are forced to migrate away from the Plus option in the future I will be going to the free account - the $70 is more than I am willing to pay. I still wished that they offered a consumer version only without trying to jam all of the business stuff down our accounts. I understand that BTB is where the $$ is at, but it would be nice to go back to the basic EN that was offered years ago.
  19. Glad I downgraded to Plus when I did. I understand the fact that they need to need to make money and that Plus might not have been a very popular option - but it was a great one for those of us that do not need the full premium feature set. While searching in PDFs is probably the only feature that I miss at times, I have just been very careful to make all new notes images. I still have a hard time with the cost of premium. I have been using Evernote since 2010 and really hope that they stick around for quite a bit yet.
  20. The conversation has surely degraded in this thread and got just a bit off topic...... In an effort to bring it back to the original question - am i staying? Yes. I have been a premium user for 5+ years and will not be going anywhere anytime soon. As soon as I see an increase in my account to $70 though I will be changing to the Plus level. The only feature I will miss is searching within attachments - but that is not worth the extra $$ to me as I do not use it all that much. I am not a power user by any means - EN is mainly a storage locker for documents for me that I want access to in multiple places. This can easily be done in other places, but after 5+ years I have a system that I like using and is well worth the $45 I have been paying yearly for.
