  1. You’re not the first to wonder and suggest that 🙂. I suspect it was done to ease the burden on the backend, but I agree, there must be a more user friendly way to manage this transition.
  2. This is the result of a change to the new sync method. Older notes, when first accessed, are converted to a new format. This should only be a one time delay. Once converted should load as normal. If you haven’t yet, update to the latest version from the website. This has been improved in the latest releases.
  3. Can you provide a screen shot of where you see the version number? It sounds like you are on the older legacy version but the version number you provided does not match up. The latest version is 10.58.8.
  4. Hmmm ... this is what I see on the Mac client. Clipping from Safari. What web browser are you clipping from? And then this under note info:
  5. Still there. It should be visible in the upper right corner. Also found in the three dot menu under note info.
  6. Are you reading any of the responses?
  7. Yes, I agree, though I haven't seen it confirmed with Backuppery, and for those that are considering a 3rd party back up solution, especially one with a fee, it may be helpful to other users to get this point confirmed.
  8. I also use the Github code for backup but I don't believe any 3rd party tool, including Backuppery, will backup the new features such as tasks or backlinks. I think, currently, the only way to completely backup is from within Evernote. I've confirmed this is true for the Github method, if would be helpful for a Backuppery user to confirm or correctly my assumption.
  9. I think I can safely say that no one here is pleased about the price increase. I personally think it is too high as well. Like any service I subscribe to, when the price gets raised I have to reevaluate whether it is still worth it to me or not. I don’t need to make the decision until this fall. I will probably stay but drop down to the personal plan to save a few dollars. Also, if you export by notebook, the recommended method, you are not limited to 50 notes.
  10. Building actionable momentum is best done by creating a support ticket. These are primarily user forums and the Evernote team rarely visits.
  11. Defending? Not at all. It doesn't matter to me either way. I've made my peace with V10 a year ago. I suspect they are ready to pull the plug anytime and are watching metrics to see when the time is right. When the lights are finally switched off on Legacy it will be a hardship for those that have hung on to the very end and Evernote is using this nagging to encourage and ease migration along instead of having a large disgruntled mob at the end ... IMHO. Could they have implemented this popup better? Sure, but I don't expect they will spend any energy at this point to change it.
  12. I’m not sure what you mean about being forced into a one week trial. Even on the free plan you will still have access to those notes though under the free plan restrictions.
  13. Evernote has changed how they sync updates in the background. It used to be they would sync full notes. Now they are syncing incremental changes only. A better method overall once the problems are ironed out. It has nothing to do on your end. With the new change syncing is now hands off and automatic. Thanks for submitting a ticket.
  14. I have seen this as well. I "think" it is due to ongoing problems with the new sync and hope this will cure itself as the sync problems get ironed out. If you haven't already, entering a support ticket stating the problem is helpful to development.
  15. You may find it surprising that people can actually make the go or stay decision all by themselves. Most of those that do leave make the mature decision to just leave.
  16. Yet you are still showing up here. Can’t find a better use of your time?
  17. I should have been clearer. It would be interesting to know if there is a problem with the note history of the "Things to do" note. The default note for tasks.
  18. Not as elegant as you want, but if you put one task each in its own note, you can then structure these notes using tags or notebooks as needed. Or one note could be a collection of related tasks ... as a thought.
  19. This is my note history for the "things to do" note. It would be interesting to know if others are also see problems with note history or not.
  20. If you want your request to be definitely heard open a support ticket. I have my doubts that Evernote even reads the support request section in the forum.
  21. If you don’t want to switch to V10, that’s fine, but the nag is telling you that the time to switch to something is now.
  22. If you are a free user I think the only option is with Twitter. If on a paid plan it is easiest through a mobile device. Go to settings - support - submit a support request.
  23. I have the same problem and using the same system and OS. If you haven’t already, please submit a problem ticket. The more information development gets on this problem the better the chance we’ll get this fixed.
  24. You can link to and add tags to the notes that are containers for the tasks.
