  1. Mostly we are only other users here. It is best to send your thoughts to feedback@evernote.com.
  2. I typically do a weekly sync and then a monthly backup. No updating or even viewing the old notes. I have recreated a new database and am slowing syncing and fixing the errors it has found. I did notice a while back that the number of notes it was syncing each week seemed excessive. I didn't have time to look into it then and since I automate this, I forgot about it. I should have looked into it then, but I'll continue to work through the notes it is flagging and get back to normal. Mostly I'm just deleting the notes it is flagging so I'm getting a little database clean up.
  3. We are pretty lenient here. Discussions about why people are leaving Evernote for Obsidian, or comparisons on what Obsidian does better are fair game. I think that Evernote would be interested in those reasons. When the discussion starts moving to how to optimize Obsidian and how to get plug-ins running, then I think we have gone beyond Evernote's intended use of the forum.
  4. No mind reading required. It is subtle, but hover over the green shield.
  5. The thing is, I migrated to V10 over two years ago and have been using Evernote-backup for over a year. The backup is automated every week. It was only today that I started to run into problems.
  6. FWIW, all the notes that I'm running into problems with are all pre-V10.
  7. Asking you earlier to move the conversation to an Obsidian forum wasn't clear enough?
  8. I'm curious to know if anyone else has started experiencing recent errors with evernote-backup. Today it is throwing many exceptions. In particular, it will now fail on "contact" content. These are old business card notes that I haven't updated in years. I'm surprised they are now causing exceptions. There are other notes with web images that are causing problems as well but I haven't found a common denominator there yet.
  9. I get these in many apps. Personally, I don't mind them, but a way to opt out would be nice. It doesn't matter which client you are using. Many use Evernote on multiple systems and FYI, Outlook is available for the Mac.
  10. There is but you chose not to. As mentioned before, posts about optimizing a competitor's product are outside the scope of an Evernote forum. The post has been removed.
  11. The new layout isn’t even correct on my older iPhone. It’s usable but one of the buttons is partially cut off. I don’t see them working on foldables in the foreseeable future.
  12. I highly doubt that Evernote will make a change based on a complaint thread in the forum. A better use of everyone’s time is to submit a support ticket if you have an actual problem. Gripes can be sent to feedback@evernote.com
  13. Can't you just create a shortcut to the note needed and then access it from the shortcut button? That said, pinned notes are on their way, but not sure how this will be implemented yet.
  14. I used Things 3 for a while. It was fine but it never really resonated with me. I liked Todoist better but then moved completely into Tasks once recurring tasks were added. Tasks work for me and I happily dropped the Todoist subscription.
  15. Existing Plus subscribers were grandfathered in. I believe this comment coincides with when they stopped accepting new Plus subscribers. The Plus plan is over and prior Plus subscribers are no longer grandfathered under the old plan. The options we have now are only the Personal and Professional plans.
  16. The manual reordering of shortcuts appears to be broken. I haven't tried this recently so I'm unsure when this error crept in, but I'm currently on version 10.87.5.
  17. Not that I'm aware of. You delete them individually.
  18. If you don't want to use tags for this, how about using links to the note instead?
  19. Please don't double post. I just responded to your other post.
  20. Everything has changed since then 🙂, including new owners. These may not be available any longer. It would be best to contact support.
  21. This video describes some of the reasons behind their change. To suggest a startup option you should contact them at feedback@evernote.com
  22. If investigating other apps, I would suggest checking out Nebo as well.
  23. The old widgets are two taps away. Not instant but also not buried. if your new home screen does not show the scratchpad, the latest, which does have a scratchpad, may not have rolled out to you yet.
  24. I think some public recognition by @Federico Simionato of the problem, and then some steps they are taking to fix it would help generate some needed goodwill and demonstrate they have awareness of the severity of the problem. Support is abysmal and has been for far too long.
