  1. Uninstall the app, dump all data when asked. Switch the iPhone completely off, wait a little. When you switching on again, the Apple logo must show. Reinstall the app, log in.
  2. The new version does not allow scripting. Try to install legacy, and repeat the transfer. Maybe you need to alter the „Evernote“ application call, to grab the legacy client instead of the new one. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  3. LOL … it is just Chrome itself that is the problem. It is the method Google uses to dominate the way the web is seen by users, and to make Google draw the maximum profit from your interaction. Google is selling your attention (a tiny part of your limited life span) to whoever is willing to pay the most to get it. Sure Chrome is working - but it is not working for you in first place. My personal opinion about G…
  4. There is the web clipper, as browser extension, that does these and many more clipping jobs. How much of your subscription money would you like to see wasted on creating and maintaining (!) duplicate functionality ? I think there are many unique features on the backlog to keep the devs busy.
  5. To send feedback to EN, use the feedback function of the clients.
  6. The appearance of something should not be taken for the real thing. You posted 6 posts here since October 2019. How many fellow users have you helped ? The forum would be a pretty hopeless place if there would only be users questioning each other’s integrity.
  7. If suddenly a lot of unknown devices show up, it may be your account was hacked. If you are not familiar with the new devices, follow this instructions: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004395487 First follow the advise to make the account safe again. Immediately change your password to a new, unique (not used elsewhere, and very different to the old one) and strong (15 characters, mixed, no existing word) one. In addition you can create a second security layer with 2FA. Before starting to unsync any device, go to the bottom of the help article. There is a link to support. Click it, and choose „account“ as ticket type. You can only unsync 2 devices every 30 days. If there are 5 listed, it will take 3 months to unsync. Support can help you to drop them all.
  8. … plus add if you really mean the web clipper (browser extension), or the EN helper. Both have a screenshot tool.
  9. Then you upgraded through the Mac AppStore, this means your iCloud/iTunes account. The upgrade and the payment needs to be processed by Apple, and then send to EN. EN needs to link it with your account, and release the additional functions on the server. Although all this is an automatic process, it is inter company, and there may be data collected before transfer (like all updates of a day). This can take more than a day until your account upgrades visibly. Maybe try to log out and back in to refresh the status information. EN support can help you about account issues - payments and related issues need to be handled through Apple. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  10. Just tried (iPad Air 5, iOS 15.5, Scannable 2.4, EN iOS 10.34.1): Everything I can contribute is the fact that everything works: Scanning with Scannable, scanning with the app, both portrait and landscape. The picture from the app appeared right away, the note created by Scannable took a little, maybe a few minutes. I can only repeat my hint to contact support.
  11. The EN Windows app and the WebClipper do not communicate directly at all. You can install WebClipper on a computer without having the EN client installed. WebClipper just needs a browser. The communication runs WebClipper - API - EN Cloud server. The clipped notes are created directly on the server, without using any EN client. From the server the notes then sync to all devices. If the EN client is installed on the same computer as the WebClipper, it does receive the note as well from the server via internet - not from the WebClipper „next door“. To troubleshoot this chain, the best way is to use the web client (open Evernote.com and log in). This draws its data directly from the server. If after clipping the notes show there, clipping has worked (sometimes you need to refresh the browser session to see the changes). If they don’t appear, clipping has failed. From what you describe, your Windows client may have a problem. But this is then a client problem, not a WebClipper problem. To see what really happens you now first need to check whether the clipped notes are on the server.
  12. Shift-cmd-D does the expected: It inserts the date.
  13. The forum is user2user - if you want to contact EN, use the feedback function in the clients. I give this zero chance - there are many mobile devices without a SD slot. EN will not start to implement a deep rooting option just to please a few. Just my 5ct ...
  14. And so ? You know how many websites are out there (or better, you don't, because nobody knows). In any case, you need to talk to support, not me. For me the case is closed - because what I do is what I did: If it does not work with one browser, I choose another. Safari and Firefox run on independent web engines, so the likelihood of success with one where the other fails is maximized. I don't use Chrome, as I avoid Google stuff wherever possible. But this would be the third web engine on the market, driving practically all existing browsers.
  15. It is because of the full moon tonight, together with Aquarius meeting Jupiter in the 7th ascendent .... You don't even tell on which desktop and on which mobile device, and what you want to do with the audio file. But we must know what is bugging you ? Sorry, out of ideas except resorting to some esoteric stuff.
  16. No, no need to use it. If I want to go from the door to the carport, I will not take the route around the block.
  17. If the right action is taken, no problem: Even if 2 accounts are in use, they can be merged. And EN usually sorts out billing issues pretty fast. When on one of the Stores, the financial side needs to be handled by Apple or Google.
  18. Something on that page is blocking the WebClipper when opened in Safari. When trying on Firefox, it is notable that the "Article" option only grabs one of the postings, from the middle of the posts chain. It can be extended to cover the page, but it takes a lot of clicks. The same happens when you are on the page in Safari, and click on the Reader icon. It will only show the same post on which WebClipper is initially focussing in Firefox. There is no obvious reason why exactly this post in a longer chain is selected both by the reader in Safari and by the WebClipper on Firefox. After extending the grabbing range and clipping in Firefox, the article is moved to a new note fine. Simplifying it works as well, it does not reduce everything to just that one posting. So after clipping, the HTML code is sufficiently cleaned to work normally. Conclusion: Something is broken on that page. You can report it to support and ask to check it. Often they do, on pages of lesser importance they may skip it. The clipper can't cover any "individuality" web designers use to make their pages "unique".
  19. Clip on the iOS device as you did, using the sharing process. Then go to the app, open the note and tap on the header of the clip, where it says Web Clip. The keyboard opens. Above it is a magic wand. When you tap it, the web clip is converted to a „simplified“ version. This is usually much easier to read, most clutter is removed and it can be edited now. If you want to keep the original clip, duplicate the note first. Simplifying can’t be reverted.
  20. It is your machine, you should know. Installed security software is pulling new blacklists all the time - one bad entry, and it stops access. But anyhow - to see what is going on taking a look at the web client is probably the easiest way. The notes are there: Clipper works, syncing problem. The notes are not there: Problem with the Clipper.
  21. The main issue are local notebooks. They are not supported any more in v10 - but the user needs to decide which ones to convert to cloud notebooks, and which to take off the database before moving on. Who is not using this feature can convert without a problem. The proposed sequence has always been first upgrade the existing install, and then (if wanted) install legacy.
  22. Any security software running ? Checked on the web client yet if clips arrive there (= on the server) ?
  23. You don’t tell exactly how you try to upgrade. Doing it directly through EN is likely the fastest way, however it will take some hours to trickle through the systems. If updating on the AppStore/PlayStore, there is an added wait between the systems. In general upgrading will not create a new account. If it happened, contact support about it, ticket type billing. They can help you to sort it out.
  24. An audio file ? Could be anything, but I assume you mean an audio grabbing created by the desktop client. EN uses different file formats to create audio files, depending on the client used. See the table at the end of this help article. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314418 I think it has no logic behind this decision - it is one of the few issues where platform interoperability is broken.
  25. It obviously was not updated. There is no newer article about the topic, so it probably never got attention. A support ticket max help to fix it.
