  1. It seems they forgot to place the information on the iPad - on the iPhone it is visible, but when you scroll the calendar, the month doesn't scroll with it. So both views are broken. You can claim it with support. You get an automatic, canned answer, with some help docs, and advise on how to answer this first reply. Follow it, and you may get a real answer one day. More often you won't (my experience). Support chat was taken offline last August, and has not be seen ever since. It was around the time when they let go the old support team, so probably they don't have the manpower or knowhow any more. Edit: The scrolling bug on the iPhone was fixed with 10.101.1. The missing month on the iPad is still missing, however.
  2. Thanks, but I doubt we will see this happen. Actually with Apple finally improving Siri and dictation with their AI approach, a Watch app would make more sense than ever. Probably the same with the Gemini stuff that rolls out on Android now.
  3. Everything you need to know is in the help article. Think about why you use EN. Either decide to upgrade to a paid account, or move to another service. Free is meant to be a trial, not for sustained use.
  4. First make sure that everything you did has reached the server. You can check in the web client. Then make sure it syncs with the Windows client. Keep the app open and see if other notes do sync. If nothing happens, it might be the database of the Windows client is corrupted, and needs to be rebuild. But first thing is to see if the sync corrects itself. Hint: You seem to invest an awful amount of creating things to organize everything. First I doubt that your stack structure of notebooks will really do you good. I prefer tags over notebooks, because notebooks enforce a linear, tree type way of organization. Tags are like a multi-dimensional network. What makes me refrain from using links more frequently is the fact that they break when notes are exported and reimported. So if I would have (hypothetically) to restore from my backup, the tags and notebooks would still be there - but the links would be gone, or better would not be working any more.
  5. I have not seen a captcha on EN for quite a while, so I don't remember the count. But clearly it was not enough to annoy me. But anyhow - it's about account security, so if anybody wants to complain support is the right place to go. Forum users can't do anything about it.
  6. 1 device at a time 50 notes (including trash), 1 notebook - whichever is exceeded will block the creation of new notes. No good idea to use Free any more except for a plain trial, or under very specific conditions. The easiest way would be to subscribe for a month and use this time to export all content, and close the account.
  7. When you upgraded your account security to MFA, you received a screen with 10 emergency codes. The screen told you in stern wording to make sure to print and tuck these codes away safely (and not to store them in your EN account). You had to confirm this screen before you could proceed - but maybe you have forgotten. You can try to reinstall the authenticator, but in most cases the stored "secrets" are gone. In this case the emergency codes are what you need, to override the dynamic code, and reset the MFA. If both don't work out, you need to go through support. Read every email you receive from them, and answer with the requested information. If you don't answer, or with a lack of information, your ticket will be closed. Personally I use Authy for my 2FA, which nicely syncs across several devices, taking away the risk that by resetting one device, all keys are gone.
  8. You can try to retrieve what’s missing by using the „circumvent login“ method. If you want to import into EN, you need to use the ENEX export. But you won’t be able to import them into EN again on Free. You don’t have sufficient upload bandwidth, and I’m not sure you are allowed to create new notes this way. To import you’ll likely need to subscribe, at least for a month.
  9. Beside this, make sure to log out of your account on any client before trying to unsync. If I’m not mistaken, with the new 1-device-policy you can log out on one device and directly log in on another, without unsyncing. But I haven’t yet tried, so I could be wrong
  10. I always wonder why people complain about THEIR accounts being kept securely. Just an example: It may be the ISP disconnected the router, and gave it a newIP. Oooops, a new IP for the login, says EN. Let’s check if it’s legit … I wouldn’t complain !
  11. It’s Noteshelf or any other, independent handwriting app that won’t try to sync into EN. Personally I use GoodNotes.
  12. Yes, these ghosts if only on desktop are a pretty clear sign that there is a corruption of the database. Important is a clean uninstall AppCleaner/Revo, and after that a restart of the computer before installing again.
  13. They seem to like you 🫣😍 On which client do they show ? Do they show on the web client as well ?
  14. On issuing a ticket you get an automatic, canned answer by email. This will contain some links to help documents, and a quite detailed advise of what to provide with your answer email to continue with the ticket. If you don’t answer this initial email including the information they asked for, the ticket will be closed. Even if you provide, you won’t necessarily get an answer. If it is a bug already reported they will just close the ticket - it will be eventually be resolved with an update. I‘m personally not happy with this black hole called support. But that’s how it works.
  15. A search term can technically be hidden in invisible parts of a file as well, for example in a pdf that holds its own search index. But I think it’s more likely a pdf only shown as attachment.
  16. @dngvt You got how much - 14 years of a Free, but valuable service ?! This is no birth right. You could be grateful for it, or behave like a little child that has it‘s toy taken away. Currently it’s quite obvious which exit you have chosen for yourself.
  17. The strategy is to get rid of users like you - consuming resources for years and years and absolutely unwilling to contribute. Simple as that. Some got the message earlier, you got it now. Good luck.
  18. There is a readme file somewhere in the repository. What you describe looks like security software interfering, or a lack of user rights to install such a software. No further advise, I’m on MacOS.
  19. It’s a simple question of managing support: They leave most answers to a system producing canned answers from their own help database. And then there is a probably small staff to handle all requests that make it beyond that point. Depending on their set of priorities, you get an answer, or you don’t. If support is understaffed, many requests will fall straight into the bin. Or will not be answered, but structured and solved with an update. I would say: Don’t take it personal. Work around the issue if you can. In this case the workaround on iOS is to open the app before you clip. And yes it sucks, no question there.
  20. It seems you fall into the category who needs an excuse for everything. Oh, the quality is deteriorating, the UX isn’t nice any more, and support sucks. Why not simply accept that the Free model is at the end of it’s rope ? It’s a trial now, and you are „trying“ since 14 years. How you managed to lock up your account is anybody’s guess. I run some Free accounts in addition to the paid one, and never managed to achieve this. What support would have told you: Wait for 30 days, or pay for a month which unlocks the account immediately. Your choice - I would go for the subscription, and either set my device count straight, or run the export. What works and doesn’t count as a device is this: https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup
  21. Big surprise 😮 if you quote a posting twice …. In fact we would like to see the EN tool working. And why it resorts to Welsh in these cases. That’s why I asked if this happens on all type of devices (mobiles and desktop alike), because this would point at the server. Or only on a specific device, pointing at something local to that computer. Yet unanswered …
  22. Just stick to the advise on GitHub. Works on a Mac as it obviously does on Windows. Installing in Python is an unnecessary complication of a simple task.
  23. The system simply takes any change to a note (= write action to the database) and calls it an update. Which - surprise - is exactly what it is. What this thread is all about is to make a huge fuzz about this simple criteria: Make THIS write action an update, but not THAT, and make it a user definition to distinguish THIS and THAT. This is what I call bloating a software. It’s not for the sake of something - it’s just because old habits die hard, and some people want to continue to use the update time stamp for other purposes. My point is: Just accept it does what it says - to record when ANYTHING on that note was changed the last time. If you want a note to stand out, tag it or pin it.
  24. Tasks can only exist inside of a note. A task can never exist free floating without a note. Does this effect only happening on your Windows computer in the installed client ? Or on a mobile device (iOS / Android) or on the Web (EN in a browser) as well ?
