  1. I think active support for 32bit OS and apps is dying. Hey, I even run my Raspberry Pi on 64bit now. Could it work for you to go to 64bit ? Perhaps running a VM with 32bit inside of it, if you need it for some old software ?
  2. We agree this is no way to conduct a business. Unfortunately there is no way around support on this - we are other users, and can only try to help you routing your request. We can’t directly solve it.
  3. The initial AI functions were far from being an asset. But these last functions behind the new button are really quite useful. That the button shows everywhere while editing is a bit overdone, but it seems they are fixing this intrusion now.
  4. Support reaction time is pretty bad since a while. Did you receive an automated email with a ticket number ?
  5. This - plus being now owned by an Italian company, EN operates under GDRP (European Data Protection Legislation). For me this is important, because it adds a legal dimension to the company policy.
  6. Who wants to ask for features added to v10 can do this here: feedback@evernote.com
  7. Can‘t know because I don’t work for EN, and have no insight. But we have no indication that it would be harvested to find buggy stuff. I think they are busy enough with official tickets … So, for reporting bugs use the official way through support.
  8. First you HAVE opted at some point to use your Google account - maybe as a sort of second factor, can’t say because I stay as far away from Google as I can. Second where is the problem that information moves from Google (data collector 1st level) to EN (private account) ? The other way would be more doubtful, but even then the data moves from one of YOUR accounts to another of YOUR accounts. And you have chosen to have a Google account yourself. Third there is nothing to fix. It does what you told it to to at some point in the past. I can go to my account settings without Google (I don’t have it at all, remember), so this can only happen if you clicked on the option somewhere in the past. This said, I tell again: Contact support.
  9. I think on desktop it is probably still downloading your data from the server. This would explain why installed client and web behave the same. How good is your internet connection ? To allow the full download, leave the client running (can be in the background) for several days, while using the Mac. Don‘t quit it, it needs to run to download.
  10. Just as a reminder: With iOS 16.2 you are carrying a can of worms (meaning unfixed security gaps) in your pocket. No matter why you are still on this old release level: There are breaches fixed since that are on the „drive by“ level, simply exploited when the user visits a website with a malicious code injection. Others can be exploited by sending a message at the phone, again without a need for user interaction. I would update iOS ASAP.
  11. AFAIK to make the slash command work, after the update of the client the computer needs to be restarted once.
  12. For the Mac I haven’t seen something similar, and if I couldn’t tell if it works. I don’t mess with my Macs integrity. The client will always run the update check in the background, and download the lastest version. It will autoinstall at the latest when the client is opened again. So no, I am not aware there is a practicable way to revert to an old version, and stop updates.
  13. The note sizes have not changed between legacy and v10. It is still 200MB for Subscribers (which is a lot if it is text only, about 100 books). How do these notes behave if you try to open them in the web client ? It seems the notes do hold a lot of text formatting as well ?! Is there other content than text, like pictures or files ? Are there links embedded ?
  14. Can‘t tell anything, except my tables did convert seamlessly from v7.14 to v10 - back then, when I started with v10. So I can’t tell for more recent conversions. Were this tables inserted using the official „Tables“ tool of EN, or tables copied into notes from other apps ?
  15. Actually I don’t even understand what you mean (running the Mac client myself). I don’t find your description in my user interface, so something is different. Could you show it better, maybe through a screenshot with remarks ?
  16. Where exactly is your problem with printing ? “A clean look“ can mean anything, and usually not the same if you ask 2 people to describe it.
  17. How are the settings on your Samsung regarding network and data allowances ? The easiest explanation would be it only allows EN to sync through WiFi - and it may have lost that connection.
  18. First I doubt this is the correct version win-dll-public for Android (although I can’t check, I don’t run any Android devices). Second, and this is sure 10.78 is not the latest version. The latest version on mobile is 10.83 (on iOS). The PlayStore may be still showing 10.82 - it seems to be a few days behind the AppStore in getting new stuff on the ramp, and in the AppStore 10.83 is since 2 days now. So first update your client to the latest version. Then check if the problem persists.
  19. Does it happen on a specific network only ? Do you use a VPN or similar ? Could you switch WiFi off, and see if it repeats itself when on mobile (with mobile data enabled for EN) ? This looks to me like a networking issue, and they may be hard to identify. Is the phone under a device management (often company phones will have a device management installed) ? The mobile clients depend more on data from the server, which may explain why it is happening on the phone. I can only speculate, since my several iOS devices all run v10 well and with good performance.
  20. You could start with describing what your problem is. Add your OS, your client version, what you did and why the result is not what you expected. Then we may have an idea for you.
  21. @CalS we dedicate a lot of time here, without getting any benefit apart from helping others, and learning ourselves from what is posted. There is a difference between not knowing, and not knowing and using this as a false argument, to produce an image of general deficiencies out of it. One is ignorance, the other polemic hiding as ignorance. If somebody is unhappy with what he gets, he shall grab his stuff and leave.
  22. Large notes can create CPU peaks, since the collapsible sections were introduced. Try to update to the latest version from the EN website - it tells in the release notes it holds a performance improvement for large notes. It doesn’t claim a fix, so it’s probably a first measure, with more to come. You can usually open several tabs of the web client, each one showing it‘s own view of your account. Since RTE syncing was introduced last year, this can be done without risking conflict notes and duplication. I think there are browsers that don’t support multiple tabs, but the usual ones will do. Support is dreadful since last summer, there is no excuse. I don’t know why the new owners believe they can ramp up prices, and at the same time let a key service element slip to that unacceptable level. It seems they simply have not the capacity to provide a sufficient level of assistance, and in their desperation employ automatic (AI ?) answers that are simply inadequate. No idea to help you about it - we are other users here,
  23. Usually it is basically the same software. The web client updates by itself, you can’t force it. It may be you are 1 release behind in the web compared to the latest installed release from the website. This usually corrects itself within 24hrs.
  24. There was some tricking around with changing .json files and the registry, for Windows users. I can only tell it is potentially harmful for your use and your data, and can permanently damage your ability to run the software safely. Furthermore not only the legacy clients are deprecated and stopped from syncing. The same ist true for most releases of v10, due to incompatible data structures. You can try to find the posts describing how to manipulate the install in the forum. But again, I warn against employing it.
  25. It is not a shame to stop syncing clients that were deprecated more than 3 years ago. Unsupported software has a risk of developing unidentified breaches. Letting such clients sync with a cloud server would be bad practice, for those using them and potentially even for the whole community hosted on these servers. If you decided to run these unsupported clients, be happy about the time donated while it lasted. You can now evaluate the new clients, and decide about your personal strategy for your content.
