another point: notebooks can be shared to others - so if you have many Notes to be shared with others, just put them into a notebook and share it - sharing is one of the most important features of notebooks, not organizing your notes (at least in the Evernote universum)

@Shane D.Hi, now as we have the embedded YouTube videos (paste a YouTube link into a note and then you‘ll see the embedded video within your note - this can be changed to a regular link at any time and vice versa) I‘m wondering to have this for Google Maps links, too. Imagine just pasting a Google Maps link into a note and - boom - you see a nice small map directly within your note.

it's time to re-think about the good known (and sadly missed) Atlas - as a new widget for our new Home if it is to much effort to have a map in a widget, just a list of notes nearby would be cool! As a driver, climber, walker, biker, equestrian, hiker I do have a lot of notes „attached“ to specific places - and it would be cool to find them easliy based on „nearby“.

I recently upgraded to a new iPhone 12 Pro and have to say, well, all performance issues are gone 🙂 to be honest, my iPhone Xs was already a pretty fast device, but 12 Pro is different - there is absolutely no lag no nothing - BUT, I don't want to say, solve these issues by buying new hardware...

@Shane D.unfortunately I'm still having a lot of red dots in my text - no chance to add a word to the dictionary, menu item missing (see attached snapshots) If I misspell an english word I see a menu item ("Rechtschreibung lernen" -> add to dictionary) - so it seems this is a non-English problem only? Update: it seems the problem only occurs if a word is completely unknown (no similar word found) - if I misspell a known German word then I've the option to add it to dictionary (bug or works as designed?)

it works without any issues here - is this a new note that maybe needs some time to get indexed at the EN servers?

this is only one part of how to use tags: search by them. The big advantage of tags is to drill down your notes by selecting only those tags used by the current list of notes („tag browsing“). Therefore you need a special tag functionality incl. tag browser (or tag cloud) - just using plain text with special prefixes is not even close to it.

another goodie: it seems my „cannot save sketches after resizing the drawing area“ issue has been fixed, too. Folks, this new feature in V10 to have an infinite drawing area for sketches (a very well known feature of OneNote) is pretty cool!

Folks, this issue seems to be fixed with 10.3 - very good! Played around and extended the drawing area several times, no issue to change, re-size and save everything.

after several retries it finally downloaded two of my notebooks - they weren‘t stalled but pretty slow.

offline issue confirmed - just downloaded my Inbox, about 5 MB of size, took about 2 minutes to get downloaded. Once a new simple note is created (3 words) the download stalls again, after 3 minutes I gave up and turned „offline notebook“ off again.

As soon as you switch to a different tool you‘ll realize how good* Evernote is 🙂 *) assumption that you‘re using Evernote not just to take notes

yes, Noteshelf + Evernote is very cool, Notes not only imported automatically but keep synced when further changes are made in Noteshelf (so it‘s more a sync not an import). And you can move the notes in Evernote into a notebook of your choice as often you want, you can tag them etc. and they stay synced with Noteshelf.

Google Keep is different to Evernote (it depends how you use it, of course) - so the amount of payment may not the only one criteria.

maybe we need also an „arrival announcement“ area?

as Daniel already mentioned, that‘s not the point - even some Evernote staff doesn‘t get that point - current filter shows just *all* tags, there is no hint whether a particular tag is used or not - what we need is a *real* tag filter, showing only those tags which are in use by the current list of notes.
