there are already many requests asking for legacy behavior of tag filter.

saw this yesterday, don't remember what action exactly was needed to reproduce it.

it seems 10.5.7 did improve something, it feels quicker and the fan of my MacBook Pro is almost quiet.

@Dr. BullMaybe you should create a separate request for this - I'd vote immediately for it 🙂

Hi All, I was surprised this morning by a band new welcome screen with several widgets incl. tag overview and quick note entry. After selecting a note the screen was gone (of course) and now I'm not able to see that dashboard look & feel again - even after restarting. Was this a one time hidden experience?

I have three types of notebooks: 1. no sharing required (my stuff, inbox and repository) 2. sharing required (content shared with others) 3. temporarily project (easy access, after finishing assign tags and move to 1. or 2.) I‘ve a total of 10 notebooks (1.: 2, 2.: 4, 3.: 4), 411 tags (incl. nested tags). Filterize.net to automate, support inheritance of nested tags and auto TOC. Total of 8.000 notes (so, yet no issue at all regarding „too many notes per notebook“). At a larger # of notes I‘d consider to have one notebook per year to make it easier to backup. I rely on tags. I‘ve tags for every year, e. g. 2019, 2020, etc. (automatically assigned by Filterize.net as soon as something arrives in inbox -> easy to access instead of a „search by created:“) I don‘t have changed this scenario since 4 years - seems to work for me 🙂

Hi all, just wondering where to post a request for enhancement (e. g. a real tag filter) in the future...since we get (got) a common user interface / functionality this request applies to all platforms. OK, there is the „general“ section, but is this really still necessary, esp. for requests? What do you think?

you could create a request (or rename this thread) to add an option to the preferences whether the links should auto-converted or not.

have you tried to create a link using CMD-K (not sure if this is the correct shortcut) (entering plain text and assign a link to it manually) - maybe this prevents the auto conversion?

@Jack LynchHi, I usually use the print dialog to send a note copy: if you are in the print dialog a simple "zoom out" using two fingers opens the document in preview and then the share menu is available to e. g. send the document (PDF) via email. Unfortunately if you do this very well known workflow with EN V10 it crashes as soon as you start typing the receipent's email adress 😞

feature not (yet?) available in V10.

you should create a thread in the „requests“ forum regarding deleting pages in a PDF - others may vote for it then, as well.

if you want Evernote is reading this just open a support ticket - this is mainly a user forum.

annotation summary is gone in V10 - maybe the‘ll implement it again on a later point of time - who knows. I would expect there is already a request in the request forum -> you can then vote there

and this problem just arrived recently at my installation

if you're in trouble with a sketch (e. g. I was not able to sketch an image anymore, it just showed the annotate button as we know it from PDF files) try using to sketch (to update) the image using your Mac / PC - this recovered my image so I was able to change it again using iPad Pro and Apple Pencil (much more fun than on a computer) - but save continues to fail on iPad. Sketching doesn't work for me on iPad because I'm not able to reliable save my changes.

Hi, I just played around with the new feature „infinite workspace for sketching“ - pretty cool, just resize and move the workspace (whiteboard) around as you need and continue to draw and paint at any position. Pretty cool (I now that feature from OneNote). Problem: after a while (e. g. 5 or 10 minutes with lots of drawings) Evernote doesn‘t complete the save process anymore (I can see the small busy circle - but never completes). After force quit and re-start the note still exists, the sketch does not reflect recent changes. If you tap on the image to continue or re-try your sketching Evernote recognizes „unsaved changes detected“ and asks whether to restore or not. After „yes, restore“ it again tries restoring forever, nothing happens. So, another nice new feature - unusable 😞 Support Ticket #3218427 Update: It seems I found the problem: if you create a new empty note first and then add a sketching I CANNOT reproduce the problem. If you create a new sketch directly using the green + button (see snapshot) and just start create a new sketch the save process fails. Baaahw, after changing an existing sketch the save fails again.

good point, and even if you‘ve a fast machine, the power consumption will be too high (esp. on mobile systems) to just run such a „simple“ program. So, either slow work or less battery time or both. My Macs are 3 - 5 years old.

hm, I don‘t see (or feel) any speed differences between Legacy and V10, both run speedy. V10 is still missing many features, indeed, but looks much better and I do like the new editor. Sounds strange that it takes up to 10 secs to open a note - maybe other issues there with the system?

Legacy version is still available on Mac and Win

how did you replace the battery? is it an Apple service or a 3rd party? any recommendation highly appreciated! thank you in advance
