  1. Launch Finder, and select the Evernote folder Enter Time Machine You will see time navigation bars on the right side > Select your date At the bottom of the screen click on the restore button
  2. You won't be able to locate the specific note in the backup data - you need to reload the entire Evernote offline database ( /Users/<youraccount>/Library/Application Support/Evernote)Then launch the Evernote app in offline mode
  3. Can you add some detail as to how you "lose access" and "Evernote is locked"? Would this include Evernote/Web access? On my Mac, I got the message "You've reached the Basic Upload limit" I selected "Stop syncing notes" and proceeded with accessing my notes
  4. Why do you think there's "those against the idea" My only concern is the priority for limited development resources To indicate support for this request, use the vote button at the top left corner of the discussion
  5. I have Version 10 installed on a Mac and iPad - no impact to the tag hierarchy Also running Legacy on my Mac; and Legacy on Web >>I've never found notebooks particularly useful, becauseyou can only nest one level. My concern is the restriction to one notebook per note, Evernote uses notebooks to identify notes as private/shared, online/local, offline
  6. Select the notes Click on Copy Links Create a new note (Tabe of Contents) and paste the links
  7. btw When moving to a new product, those links are still valid; except they point back to Evernote Another good reason for not deleting your Evernote data
  8. I would pin a note (Daily Journal), and never delete it (with appropriate tags and notebook name assigned) Each morning - duplicate the note to store the previous day - then delete the contents, and start fresh with the journal template for a new day
  9. I understand note links; they use the note id and retrieve the note element We could get a notebook link; using the notebook id (and retrieve the notebook element) however I think you're actually looking for a search link - all notes assigned with the notebook
  10. I renewed until October 2021, but turned off the automatic renewal I'm currently using Evernote Legacy on my Mac, but doubt I'll continue after October Not a hater; the new Evernote doesn't meet my requirements I've always maintained an Evernote exit plan, more solidly developed in these problem months I'm completely ready to switch from Evernote at any time
  11. The Evernote metadata stores created and updated dates I prepend subject date to the note title Example: 2021-02-17 Journal ...
  12. In my use, all tagA notes are retrieved What method are you using to "filter by tagA"
  13. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  14. A good reason for nstalling the Legacy version - it provides better export support I don't think there's a cause for concern - the products use different local databases
  15. https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/07/27/how-to-see-hidden-files-and-folders-in-macos Apple has included an easy way to see the files for those using macOS Sierra and newer releases. A keyboard shortcut can be used to toggle between making the files visible or hiding them again. Open Finder and navigate to the folder you wish to use. Press the key combination Command-Shift-. (Period) to toggle between the two states.
  16. I specified the folder location above at (https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/131778-just-updated-to-v1044-why-is-it-so-slow-and-where-is-local-data-now-stored/?do=findComment&comment=608145) What additional information do you need?
  17. I'm not participating in the Version 10 testing, so ... no worries I do monitor the progress and I'll get involved when the product is ready for general use
  18. There is an "offline" data copy stored locally Identify the folder(s) and back up Windows C:/users/<youraccount>/appdata/roaming /evernote Mac /Users/<youraccount>/Library/Application Support/Evernote
  19. I was confused with the post being in the IOS forum - I moved the discussion to the Mac forum Also, please edit the title to indicate Reminder Date
  20. I have no problem adding a date to the Notes that I save. Please add some detail as to the method you're using
  21. The master version of our data is stored on the Evernote server It will not be impacted by an upgrade on your device To view the server data use the web platform at www.evernote.com The usual cause of "I lost everything" is the accidental creation of a new account Make sure you're using the correct userid/password
