  1. I use the shortcut section for priority notes. Individual notes, and a "Hot Notes" tag that I can use for quick access
  2. This doesn't seem to be a priority item. Anyone wanting to indicate support for this request, please use the voting buttons in the top left corner. Vote count is currently
  3. This indicates a serious problem. I'm not sure how 40MB can possibly expand to 1GB Unfortunately, there's not much to investigate in Windows; just a single .exb file. On Mac's the notes are maintained in separate folders, and the actual database is quite small As well as optimization tools; I also find it usefult to rebuild my database from the servers. Warning: the rebuild does not cover Local Notebooks or unsync'd notes
  4. Anyone supporting this feature request, please indicate using the voting buttons at the top left corner of the discussion. The vote count is currently
  5. I was expecting to see this “happens" Where are you copying from?
  6. No word from Evernote. Demand Sync was implemented on the Windows platform/device, and we have this post from an Evernote employee indicating that Selective Sync is being investigated
  7. Yes very clear, as stated in the top post: Please add native Markdown to Evernote To indicate your support for this request, use the voting buttons in the top left corner of the discussion
  8. I intended no such implication Many users are unaware of the power of attachment featuren that they don’t have to be locked in to the limitations of the Evernote editor. Any file can be attached to a note. Evernote works well with images, pdfs and office/iwork documents
  9. Most definitely a feature of word-processing editors; perhaps not so much a factor for Notes >>So far your posts in this thread are not meant to help "new" users In this thread, I've been trying to help users to use Markdown, since it's not offered by the Evernote editor
  10. Its working quite well. I do spend time honing my Evernote skills and setup. And as I said, select the editors that match the features you need There is no "inside" conspiracy going on. Many of my posts are volunteering help to new users.
  11. My suspicion is you have hidden characters in your Evernote note. I'd export the note and look at the underlying html code What font are you using. This looks ok on my Mac using Helvetica font
  12. I'm not into the Boohoo, Evernote's so bad posts I'm more interested in how to make this product work for me If I needed to use markdown; I would select the editor that supports it
  13. I'm not seeing any connection what-so-ever. Its a completely different discussion
  14. I trust Evernote to process/store my data. At the same time, I back up my data. I have no danger of losing my data. I have backups, and Evernote provides an easy export of data
  15. I think the Evernote is adequate for basic notes. If I need extended features, I switch to dedicated editor apps. This includes a feature such as Markdown. Evernote is my digital file. I’m not going to let the editor stop me from using features I need
  16. <Sigh>, another post predicting the demise of Evernote unless they implement <insert feature request> I’m able to insert code snippets into my notes. If I want auto formatting and syntax highlighting, I use a file attachment. The code editor I use (Textastic) provides this feature
  17. If the pdf is encrypted, I don’t understand how you are able to print it
  18. Can you post an enex export of the note. We can then look at the code behind the note and maybe get an idea of the issue
  19. Tag hierarchy is an Evernote feature. I use it on my Mac to organize my tags My understanding of Filterize is that it automates the assignment of tags. I do this on my Mac using scripts
  20. Do you have specific examples of the image size problem I import images in many notes and just tried an example on my Mac Image size: 3,212,076 bytes (3.2 MB on disk) The note size says 3.1MB in Evernote, but the actual note folder says: 3,655,378 bytes (3.7 MB on disk) for 9 items Actual note files are listed to the right. There would also be a database entry but it's insignificant in size >>or is there a compression issue when storing images in notes? I'm seeing no compression at all with the untouched photo
  21. You can right click and save the attachments At this point, you're no longer restricted by Evernote and can process the images by another app
  22. This is not a "best practice" but others have reported success with copying the .exb file to a new machine A problem may be doing the initial install, Evernote will still build the database; so you still have the initial sync/download. You can minimize this with the Demand Sync feature
  23. Regardless. Evernote still has to prioritize the work, even if it's "fairly easy doable" One of the decision factors is the vote count. Please add your vote to this request Voting buttons are in the top left corner of the discussion
  24. I’m not a fan of a static TOC note. I prefer to use a search to generate a note list. If I needed a TOC note I could simply drag the new list into a note >>I've seen similar things on webpages. I think there must be a way to implement this in Evernote. Sorry, no ideas and no response from EN on this request This feature is supported in html and we used to be able to backdoor it into the enml code. That option is no longer available
  25. Yeah but does Google Docs have a forum for you to post bohoo posts? Anyways, good bye, good luck
