  1. Your app and database were at v6.12 If you’re downgrading you should address both the app and database. The app AppCleaner is recommended to completely remove Evernote from your Mac Then reinstall the app and the database is rebuilt from the servers. Warning - the rebuild does not include Local Notebooks or unsync’d notes
  2. You could monitor the release notes; I’ll post a link if something comes up Otherwise, this is just a feature request; one of many. I’m sure Evernote has taken note of it and included it in prioritization for future development
  3. I’m all for using alternate editors and storing the documents as attachments in Evernote Will Boostnote allow this storage
  4. Likewise, I could automate the recurring reminders with scripting on my Mac There’s also a third part cloud service Filterize It also used the Recurring tags as a trigger
  5. I use the Reminders feature in Evernote (Tasks) but find it's not a replacement for the Apple reminders/calendar apps I think you'll always find dedicated apps have better featuresets
  6. My impression is that Evernote is that in 2016 Evernote moved on from being a Venture funded company There is no more funding from “raising investment capital” Funding is from revenue, i.e. user subscription fees. And the majority of users are unwilling to pay for the service or product development
  7. It’s a limitation of Evernote’s search feature; you can’t combine And/Or My solution is separate searches and a Temp tag . I have this in a script (Mac), but you can do it manually Search any: tag:@Home tag:@Errands And assign Tag:Temp Then, search tag:Temp reminderOrder:*
  8. What matters to me is how to make this product work for me. Yes, indicate your support for a feature request using the vote buttons; however I’m interested in work-arounds for the product limitations
  9. If you’d like to submit an email domain for review, please fill out this survey
  10. Starting at the minimum, Evernote has an encryption feature for text within a note My solution for protecting sensitive data is using encrypted attachments (pdfs, office/iwork documents ...)
  11. Not sure the users would consider a ToC as a substitute for a notebook hierarchy. I think users are looking for the legacy folder navigation they used in with computer files, or with a manual filing cabinet. This is not a feature supported by Evernote. If Evernote’s organization method isn’t working for you, you should be looking at a different product. Everyone is welcome to indicate their support for this request using the voting buttons (top left corner), but honestly, Evernote has never indicate an interest in adding this feature
  12. You paid for the software? I pay a subscription but it's for extending the featureset
  13. I’m seeing this problem as fixed with the latest IOS 11 release
  14. Who got fired? The news I read said Phil Libin will step down as Evernote CEO and be replaced by former Google exec Chris O'Neill, Recode reported on Monday. Libin will remain as executive chairman. And Libin was stepping down because he wasn't 'passionate about it'.
  15. My impression of Asana is it’s a team task management service whereas Evernote is a generic note filing service >>They do not have a Linux native client either I’m interested in alternatives but the important point in this discussion is a Linux native client >>Bye! Good bye, good luck. Thanks for your contributions to the forums
  16. I prefer the Tags feature in Evernote, and the easy export of my data Whatever works for you, you should go for it. I don’t undersrtand why you’re posting messages like this in the Reminders discussion If you support the request for recurring reminders, please add your vote using the buttons at top left corner of the discussion.
  17. So far I’ve not seen any applications with the features I value in Evernote. If I needed recurring reminders on my notes, I would script the function on my Mac, or use a third party product like Filterize
  18. I recommend you indicate your support for this request. The voting buttons are in the top left corner of the discussion. The current vote is
  19. This is cool - I'm on the mailing list for this discussion and I received a translated version of the post Is it hard to believe that evernote has yet to repeat a reminder? Such a simple function! Don't talk to me about third-party apps, they often suddenly shut down services and stop developing... In addition, from user experience and ease of use, it is not necessary to download the extra APP for a simple function. You're welcome to indicate your support for this feature request. Voting buttons are in the top left corner of the discussion Personally, I don't find it "hard to believe". Evernote implemented a simple reminder feature for notes. Beyond this, they have not indicated an interest in expanding the reminder feature
  20. The software is free; upgrades are free I pay for a subscription to have access to extended service features — that’s my expectation You’re welcome to add your support for this feature request. Voting buttons are at the top left corner of the discussion
  21. Can the export be stored as an attachment to an Evernote note? I’m enthused about using alternate editors to get extended features >>I bet they could be bought for a pretty reasonable sum... I suspect this feature requires a proprietary format not supported by Evernote’s enml base (Edit and store in markdown, display in rendered HTML). For sure, the Edit part is do-able; we’re already seeing pieces of this edited: Reading the documentation for Marxico, I see Marxico puts the Markdown text in a hidden area of the note, which makes it possible to get the original text in Marxico and edit it again.
  22. No statement from Evernote, but there’s no indication of the location information being dropped. It’s firmly installed in the metadata database and the OS API
