  1. Hi. This is a mainly user-supported forum and we don't have too many contributors who are also developers. The usual suggestion is to check out this page - https://dev.evernote.com/support/
  2. Hi. This is not a limitation of Basic, and I'm not aware of having similar problems with my Android app. I'd suggest you sync your account up to date then uninstall and reinstall the app to see if that clears any glitches.
  3. Hi. Try adding a new note to the notebook with the missing notes in Evernote Windows. Sync that so you can see the content in the Web app. Check the Windows app again. If that didn't work, try restarting your computer - sometimes Windows just gets a bit tired....
  4. AFAIK there's no way for an ENEX file to record the notebook origin, so the only way is to export notebook by notebook, or to employ a work-around like tagging every note in each notebook with that notebook name. I believe it's possible to use a batch file (windows) to automate the export of notebooks to separate files - there's a thread on that around here somewhere - but I'm just lazy. There's a third-party app Backupery which does the job for me. I run* a daily backup of all notes, and retain a week's worth of backups. Each week I have a system level backup of my hard drive, which includes the 6 ENEX folders of the previous week, so I'm pretty fully covered. (When I say "I run" - I mean it happens as a scheduled activity between 6pm and 7pm daily.)
  5. Hi. If you select a note and hit 'export', Evernote will do that one note. If you select a notebook, you'll get the whole notebook. If you select 'All Notes' you'll get everything but ENEX does not store notebook information. If you restore your notes from that file, you get 75,000 notes in one notebook. Best to save to ENEX one notebook at a time. Make sure you check the options too - you need to have the 'save tags' option switched on.
  6. Hi. When you say 'importing', what are you importing and how do you currently do that on the Windows/ Mac desktops? Web clips from the browser go to the online database, so you'll see those pretty quickly in Evernote web. Files can be added to the installed app, but equally can be emailed (if you're a subscriber) directly to the server. Not sure what else you'd need.. though I must say I prefer having a local copy of my data handy on one hard drive at least - backups come in handy in case something catastrophic goes wrong...
  7. Hi. Sounds like a system restart might help. If it doesn't: what browser and Evernote version are you using?
  8. Hi. I'm not an iPhone user, so no constructive help; but a slight change to process might assist - it is possible to merge notes on a desktop, so if your notes on Project A all had that name as a tag, it would be easy to find a number of short notes on the topic later, and merge them together.
  9. Hi. Sorry, but unless you have some local backup files which might contain those notes, it is not possible to recover content you have deleted so completely and so long ago.
  10. Hi. Evernote won't convert voice memos saved as sound files to text. It is possible to dictate a text memo via most operating systems via speech to text.
  11. Hi. There's an option on the Support page to 'continue as a guest' if you have an issue with the login. Also you can reach Evernote on Twitter @EvernoteHelps or you can probably downgrade your account yourself online via https://www.evernote.com/Settings.action - look for 'manage subscription' about halfway down the page. Your account type presumably won't change until you run out of the trial period. Good luck...
  12. per @DTLow - sorry: when I said "reallocate them" above, I meant I was using Filterize to move them to another notebook as well as applying tags - and those tags can also automatically add a link to that note into another Table of Contents note, like my 'to-do' lists...
  13. I'd imagine the usual automation suspects from AutoHotKey to Zenkit would help if (like me) you use Gmail - I still haven't found a way to add @<notebook> to a Gmail title when auto-forwarding emails. I tend to send all my selected emails into the Default notebook, then reallocate them and tag as necessary with Filterize based on title or content.
  14. Hmmn. Maybe the device camera then, or the flavour of Android that it runs... We're well past my comfort zone on mobile apps - I'd suggest either submitting a support request, or uninstalling / restart and reinstalling the app in hopes of a change... (A reinstall is about the only user-available 'fix' for mobile issues...)
  15. Hi. It would be interesting if you could quote your ticket number and any responses you get here. If you're complaining about images being treated as OCR documents, can you confirm: are you taking pictures manually in the Evernote app? Or does the app show a green outline around your document and take a picture automatically? (Changing between manual and automatic is via the icon at top right of the camera screen).
  16. Just for information, I used to run a customer service team at an ISP, so I'm familiar with the conflicts that can arise. With absolutely no inside knowledge at all I can imagine that Evernote, who have recently been talking about releasing a new version of every app they currently offer, are currently concentrating all their efforts on QA for the packages - including a new Mac client that includes a fix for this issue. In that case it would be a waste of resources to try and apply their fix to an 'old' setup, but they also can't release the new package until it's been tested, and new bits of that package are not compatible with the old code. That's 99.99% imaginarium, but its the sort of thing I've had happen to me - in a former life I could not talk about the next version before its release, but spent weeks being bad-mouthed by customers who were complaining about issues we had already fixed and would be sorted - as soon as some i's and t's could be dealt with. Those last few steps were doozies. 🙄 Just sayin'...
  17. Hi there. Pretty sure you normally need to say my name 3 times to get a prompt response, but I'm afraid I'm just a user too. Not even a Mac user, so I have no personal involvement in the issue... but you raise a good point: My comment was made on the assumption that Evernote was being pelted with support requests, and realised that this was an urgent issue. Otherwise it's possible that they still don't even know that there's a problem. While staffers do read these posts, AFAIK there's no particular priority to it, and any given topic might not get seen for months. Any subscriber can raise a ticket, and I'd suggest those with experience / logs / screenshots should do so (if they didn't already) and, as you suggest, post the ticket numbers here. Any non-subscriber with the above information can also join in - just send your reports to https://twitter.com/evernotehelps or pile in on the conversations at https://www.facebook.com/groups/evernotecommunity/ @luckman212 (who I've just seen) had the right idea - but at least I can flag this thread for an Admin (staff member) who can look at some real facts and -maybe- give you all an answer... Meantime I'm really not averse to corporate-bashing when it's due, so feel free to add your ticket numbers folks - the more the better...
  18. Actually a Third Party app - Filterize - can do exactly that for you. (It's probably also possible with other automation apps, but Filterize is the one I use.) As example I set up a fairly complicated filter to list any notes with uncompleted reminder dates up to and including today in one note, and a list of any notes with reminder dates coming up in the next 10 days in another. All I have to do is set the reminders, and the lists are prepared automatically.
  19. It's pretty common to share video of unexpected behaviour - if you go back to Evernote and explain, maybe they can suggest an alternative...
  20. Hi. It's not like we were expecting Evernote to suddenly re-invent Word as an update - did you see the CEO's 2020 briefing?
  21. This is also relevant - How to create and customize tables
  22. Hi. What version of Evernote are you using, where is the bar chart stored (Excel, Monday...?) and what format is the image?
  23. Word count is still there for me too on right click... (at the bottom)
  24. So: as you're a subscriber it would make sense to contact support - that's not here; this is a mainly user-driven forum, though Evernote do read posts here.
